  10. A maximum number of post should be required :P
  11. Yeah, as Lore said I think it's not the number of messages but more the activity that counts. Anyway I'll maybe reach 1000 post for the next exchange :D.
  12. I don't agree. I'm not a "newbie" but I don't have many post. And I did my first exchange with 80 posts.
  13. ^ :escaping2: Yes she told me that she made it for you. And you maybe not remember but you reviewed mine because my partner didn't. That's why I'm glad I got yours this time. Sofia told me so many nice stuff about you :nice:
  14. OMG I feel so bad now I'm reading again my review :embarrassed: To your defense I'm hard to please. I generaly dislike a lot of song that I'll love few weeks later . And don't feel sorry I still had a grat time listening your tape and feel really glad you made it. Did I said that I don't like a St Vincent song? :embarrassed: again. I love her voice and I love that band. (Plus I can't hate the name of the band because vincent is my last name ). I never listen to Hurts but even if didn't like that song I'll check their music. So many people seems to like them. I must go to the doctor because I said bad comments about St Vincent and right after I said something good about The Temper Trap. I saw them few months ago and had an horrible time. I don't know what to think and what happens to me. :rolleyes4: And fiest :awesome: I love her voice. Thank you for the feedback and the tracklist :) And you should definitly talk more with Sofia :whip:
  15. I will not contradict the Bible. So :sweatdrop::sweatdrop: Yes of course :nice:
  16. So many review already! Here is mine. I wrote this review while listening so I must have done a lot of mistakes. I'm sorry for my bad and poor english, hope you can still understand. 1 - Start with violins then drums. It’s quiet along the all track. It’s nice to open the mixtape. It sounds like a soundtrack for a film. 2 - As the 1st track it’s introduce by violins. A woman voice now, that’s a catchy pop song a bit jazzy. The violins are back at the middle of the song, that maybe too much now. Plus 5 min it’s too long for that sort of song. 3 - This time the piano introduces the song. A woman singer, a haunting air, a beautiful voice but I'm not very into woman voice. Slow song, very conventional. At ¾ of the song, slight darkening of the song, but nothing really exciting. 4 - James Morrison! I love this song and the singer's voice. Regarding its place in the mixtape, it continues what has been done before, sweet songs and calm music. Mainstream pleasant pop. 5 - It starts to get more nervous. A voice like Gnarls Barkley in the song Crazy. The music is much more interesting, but I don't like that voice. Is the mixtape takes a new twist? 6 - Finally no big change in the mixtape style, it simply passes to male voices but always conventional voice (well pretty without roughness), although a little more interesting than for the first 4 tracks and more rhythmic. 7 - Rather nice piano introduction. The voice of the singer is still a very nice voice. The piano is the main instrument of this track with a female voice that seems quite assertive and powerful. But still that smooth side where it lacks a little craziness. A few seconds before it ends it turns to a Russian style. Is it because the singer is Russian? 8 - I don't like this song. One-republic style. I'm sorry 9 - Pop music again, but the air is much more catchy and "happy", but still these voices very smooth for me and who are not recognizable. When I listen to it I hear The Killer mixed with Keane. I'm probably wrong but for me all these songs are the same. I'm not saying they aren't good because I find them nice to listen, but it's just always the same, there is no originality in the voice nor the music. 10 - Very long "momno-instrumental" intro, the voice is more interesting than the previous ones. But it makes me want to sleep. 11 - Again a soft and pop song. Again too classic, no originality and finally James Morrison could sing this song and nobody will find that it is not his song. Music and voice interchangeably (?). 12 A Male voice again. Sound like Keane (I can't hear any guitar). 13 - This intro is much better. No smooth voice. Finally some changes! The instruments stand out more than on other songs, they are highlighted and we want to listen to them. 14 - It Looks like Editor. I was talking about them a few days ago with Sofia and I told her I didn't like that kind of voice, though I tried. I'm really sorry. However on this track there is more intensity than on others, I feel much more emotions from the singer's voice. Same for the instruments, they are much more emphasized as the first tracks. 15 - The National? 16 - I don't really know how to describe this song with English words but I like it. There is a real intro, a real progression and a real ending. 17 - Returning on a classical voice and piano pop song, but it goes better with the last tracks. Overall I haven't really liked this mixtape. It is a chain of music that are similar, a similar pattern instrument-voices and very smooth. The end of the mixtape was better. Anyway I want to thank and know who is behind this mixtape because I also heard some interesting things (such as 2, 4, 9, 13 and 16). It's just the way you mix the songs, it was a bit boring at the beginning. I hope not to hurt my partner because it is just my point of view. :)
  17. I totally agree with you. Read reviews is one way among others to discover new music but it can't be the only one. I just updated my top. I think it won't change until the end of the year.
  18. Sex, God, Sex - Swans
  19. You mean the DVD not the audio file? Well I'll try do so something asap :) And I'm not going to tell you when you can see me :P. But here a pic to prove that I was there http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3354784&l=e1d18166e6&id=596644512 :smug:
  20. Why couldn't we be influenced by reviews? That's what they are made for. I can't listen to every album so yeah I'm reading reviews to find good stuff. But that's doesn't mean I love what they love and I if it's the case why should we justify our choise? This is just a way to find new musics.
