Electric Eye, an ethereal track decidedly less prog than Mew, less pop than Coldplay and a bit more complex than A-ha, is released on November 30. The group, which also includes sometime-A-ha producer Martin Terefe (KT Tunstall, James Morrisson, Jason Mraz), recorded a track for the benefit CD Amazon Tribe in 2008, and have since then been allocating time to their project in between duties with their more well-known bands. Snippets of video, audio and images of Apparatjik's work can be found on their slightly eccentric website, apparatjik.com, complete with nonsential graphs and in-studio banter. But a little pretentiousness has never hurt anyone right?
