***The official "Editors" thread***
the anticipation is killing me. in regards to the last few comments, I think this will be their best too, but a departure in what the 'Editors' sound is. I think I may have tossed around the sound of REM because of Toms massive influence from Murmur, along with how the songs they've played already sound (Ton of Love) so who knows!

it feels that it's taken forever. 4 years is long, especially when the first 3 albums were dropped in 2 year gaps...

I can say Editors fans are excited for the whole thing - I know I am...

Depeche Mode
I love it. very good the whole way through! The reviews which are coming in have been good also, very bold steps here, also shows that they definitely still have got it!

The National
very much looking forward to it! Toronto, free show, I'm going! hahaha, it's cool because it's right downtown and they have to shut down a major part of the downtown area for this!

now through mixing I hope there will be announcement of the track-listing and the album title, although I'd assume it may be 'Every Conversation Within You"....

m@r@, I have yet to see them, but I cannot wait for North American dates! The Nashville videos are awesome, and I think this band is definitely taking shape! In the 3rd video, there are some great previews! I think the next album is going to get them going again. Their sound seems more like REM and since they're gone, I wouldn't mind seeing them trying to fill the shoes... Regarding THS, I enjoy both of them, the original because of Chris's guitar, and the newest version because of Tom's raw emotion. I do believe they'll be recording the slower, down-tempo version for LP4! ALSO! I hope (based off of the live performances) that Sugar is the album opener, and that Nothing is the closer...

Depeche Mode
this song is so lush. Martin's background vocals are my favorite in almost every song, Delta Machine is going to be sensational!

Depeche Mode
released on my birthday! I actually cannot wait to hear this

The Foals Thread
Editors guitarist Chris Urbanowicz left the band while they were recording their 4th album, and since him and the 3 remaining members were all close friends, they had to find substitutes and re-work the songs without Chris there. They have been in Nashville since the start of the new year recording LP4, which, based off of the songs they've played live, are much more of a collection and a re-hashing of their previous sounds. Tom Smith, lead singer, has a Twitter account he's been posting vague updates on, primarily through pictures; https://twitter.com/THMSSMTH With their 3rd album, In This Light and On This Evening, there were parts from their original sound, it just didn't gel with most - I thoroughly enjoyed it! As with Foals, cannot wait to listen to Holy Fire, and knowing me I'll find a reason to like it...

Two Door Cinema Club
the venue I saw them at in Toronto didn't have the opportunity for it since it was pouring rain after the gig and I think the musician entrance is on the other side of the venue and not every accessible.... however yes, the show was awesome! I have 'Sleep Alone' and 'Come Back Home' on video which will eventually be on youtube

Two Door Cinema Club
saw them last October, they're fantastic at GA show in a medium sized venue, gets loud! :)

12 songs, and having them all written down like that just makes things seem closer to us actually hearing the music as a cohesive piece, looking forward to it, and teasers of songs too!

The R.E.M. Thread
My Mom played 'Losing My Religion' in the car when I was really young. That was one of the songs that helped me get into music as a teen, and now, having listened to all of REM's albums, it's such a universe to lose your mind in, and I've barely scratched the surface...

^ I listened to that as well, 'A Ton of Love' and 'Formaldehyde' were both good, and I am a fan of 'Nothing' despite fans on their forum not being the biggest admirers.

Hoping for the new album at the end of 2013? It feels like forever, but this is a process you can't rush - the songs took a new shape I am sure with the departure of Chris, but I think with what Tom has said about what it will sound like, LP4 will be really good. The Sting, Sugar and Nothing all have really great atmosphere's, chorus's, etc....

The Foals Thread
My Number is stuck in my head. I will be humming it for days, Foals (I think) are one of the most innovative and awesome bands out there right now
