2013 Upcoming releases.
U2's label confirmed that their new album should be out in 2013. Depeche Mode is confirmed for an April release. Otherwise; Editors Franz Ferdinand Foals Arcade Fire Atoms For Peace the list goes on, should be a great year for music....I'd love if Radiohead put something out as well

they all sound fantastic! I agree.... I met torq, amy, evan and new guitarist chris in september, having my SYOF sleeve signed is like no other One can also only assume they will have another tour (at least in Canada) where they are headliners

well yes - so I am thinking Editors should have an announcement about a new album hopefully soon!

LP4 will most likely be out in the first quarter of the new year, I am guessing... I am just wanting information on the titles and what it will look and sound like. Foals have done their tease for their new album coming out in January, so I am hoping Editors will do the same soon!

Tom Smith's actual Twitter page, where the photo comes from has posted pictures recently the past few days...I am assuming they are grearing up for press regarding the new album, THIS panorama picture definitely looks like a track listing is hanging in the right hand corner; https://twitter.com/THMSSMTH/status/268014582981881856/photo/1 what do you all think?

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
I'll chime in and say Heart of a Girl is not a bad song. there are definitely more listenable songs than others, but the synth line has this Lanois element to it that makes it awesome

it sounds so good! I love how heavy it gets, but it still has that foals atmosphere!

hoping for North America dates, wish I could go to Europe just for the Festivals!

Depeche Mode
it does seem more aggressive, that's for sure, sounds like something from his second solo album...which is my one criticism, no Martin vocals in the background!
-
***The official "Editors" thread***
saw that this morning. Based off of the tweet from Tom, I am guessing it regards the album, or at least hoping so. And the sleigh bells reference, maybe a release of something in time for Christmas?

Depeche Mode
was hoping that they'd drop some sort of info on the new album, but tour dates are exciting nevertheless!

Depeche Mode
it took me a long time to like Exciter, but 'Dream On' and 'Shine' seem so delicate for Depeche Mode that the darkness within them is just really different to listen to. Obviously towards the end of the album it gets a little dull, but hey - I don't think it deserved as much flack as it got... I love Ultra as well, 'Home' is one of my favorite songs by Martin, and just, the whole damn thing is brilliant!
-
Depeche Mode
I think that everyone from Black Celebration and on has such a warm darkness to it that each of them are all good in their own regards. I know Exciter got bashed by critics, but I still love the intimacy of it.

Depeche Mode
Oh I believe it. I saw them maybe 6 years ago when they were "Touring the Angel" - great show, need tickets to this new tour to say the least... what is everyone's favorite album / song?
-
Depeche Mode
I sure hope so! Their website is updated as well, with links to Instagram and pictures you post with the hashtag #depechemode2013 show up on the site!

Depeche Mode
it is their 2013 world tour from what I read on a German (I think) fansite. Their new album is also confirmed for an April 2013 release
-
The Tragically Hip
saw them on Canada Day (July 1st) with Death Cab For Cutie and The New Pornographers. they are TOO good live, Gord Downie is such a hidden treasure in Canada - and also their new album is fantastic
-
Lana Del Rey
^ amen

Stars
bump! saw them at MTV in Toronto for 3 songs and then at 102.1 The Edge for an acoustic performance. Met Torq, Amy, Evan and new guitarist Chris - they were all amazing. I got my 'Set Yourself On Fire' album sleeve signed which I've had since it came out!

If you could bring a dead rock star back to life
probably Ian Curtis - if Joy Division lasted as long as they could have...

I agree with you, Hold On is amazing, the bass drives is. I am a fan of "Walls" and how haunting it is. Through The Mines is good, but I am a sucker for Backlines. I NEED AN MP3 of this asap
