Nickelback, they are successful and good for them for that, however their music doesn't change. It is all generic guitar driven songs that lack it's own identity. You look at Coldplay and all the changes they've gone through with their sound, along with many other great bands like U2, Radiohead and say, Depeche Mode. However, Nickelback doesn't really have that uniqueness that attracts me to them.

The percussion on the record I felt was amazing. Yes it was quite pop sounding, but having listening to it twice I find that I don't want to skip any track. Each song has a different element until you reach the end, but Morning Light was good. This record is not BFRW #2, but that's the base they got this music from. If this gets noticed in the the US and the UK then hopefully they can be 2009's Kings of Leon, which is what I really hope for them because this music is so good!

Sounds of the Universe leaked on my Birthday - March 26th and despite how it is so analog and not as layered as their past two records, it fits the gap beetween Some Great Reward and Songs of Faith and Devotion amazing record, highly recomended. Listen to; In Chains, In Sympathy, Corrupt

I am pretty sure Foreign Land is only out in the Australian store, i looked! it is very sad, i really want it on my iTunes! but i found these guys out 2 years ago when they played LiveEarth I watched the Auzzie one first and they were on. i've been hooked since! :)

okay i dont understand why people don't like this song. if you think of it from a Coldplay perspective it is a great song it is different but yea, it shouldnt have been on VLV, and im glad it didnt get on maybe as a hidden track at the end or something but it is still good

this is so exciting! i am so pumped for this song!

LiT 2 - great song from start to finnish. with the shorter version on the album and getting this now it really adds to the experience of listening to it. The lyrics are great, and it is full circle with the chanting at the end. Postcards From Far Away - simple. it is easy to listen to and i think draws a bridge between Coldplay and Sigur Ros. that is what i thought, it just reminds me of the ( ) album, which was FANTASTIC Glass Of Water - amazing song. definitely single worthy and i think this song brings us back some "clocks" meets "Politik" great tune Rainy Day - STANDOUT. the strings make it VLV's evil twin. the song is not evil, but is shorter and has so much beauty with its little quarkyness at the beginning Prospekt's March / Poppyfields - amazing. the softness of Chris's voice is spectacular and with the very subtle guitar is great. the little outro called poppyfields i feel is great, although it could have been longer. Lost + - good song and all, the Jay-Z was GREAT, i dont care what you all say, but they should have had the solo longer and louder! LIJ - better than the album version, 'nuff said Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground - folk song and it is great! brings us back to Parachutes era, and till kingdom come. great song All in all the EP was great, i had a couple higher expectations for a couple of songs, but other than that it was no more that i could have asked for. all these songs could be performed by a marching band, which is why i think they chose this name, and it works to perfection

i want them too! maybe another EP next year! :D
