Rainy Day

The symphony is definitely meant to be listened to together. Having them all in one song would have made the album look too short, I guess. I'm not a fan of Guiding Light either. It's the one flub on the album and it seems like a huge rip-off of Invincible, which I certainly prefer to it. But I LOVE Unnatural Selection. I agree that they could have cut a good half-minute from the middle, but the song is one of the best rockers on the album.

All the more reason for them not to contribute. :sneaky: Seriously, it's annoying enough when people identify SMBH as "The Twilight Song". If Muse makes the lead single for the next installment (I hear there's like 4 total), then even though I know they're gunning for a more mainstream audience, doing it with Twilight would be in the worst possible fashion.

Since I turn 21 today, my friends wanted me to take a shot of whiskey at midnight last night. As a compromise, I demanded that the LRLRL version of Clocks be playing on somebody's laptop (yes, I burned it for them) at that moment. Made it all so worth it. :D

Paramore is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine, as I'm not a fan of the genre but find myself listening to them every now and then. They're definitely capable of some cathy songs, although their latest album is rather generic and lacking the personality of their previous album. That said, I feel sorry that Paramore is constantly associated with the Twilight crowd. They're definitely better than that.

Ooh! Ooh! Just had a Coldplay moment in class! :D Trouble was playing on my Multimedia professor's iTunes and it was blaring through the classroom speakers! I yelled out "Yay, Coldplay!" but I think only a few people heard me. :D First time I've heard Coldplay in there. Usually it's Death Cab for Cutie or The Beatles.

I like it, but I kinda wish the song was simply Will singing. The part where both of them are singing is a bit messy (they even mix up a few words).

I'm tempted to hijack this thread and show my own Chris jacket I made for Halloween, but instead I'll simply describe how crappy it is: - Took an ordinary military jacket...not even close to the right design - Made front bands by painting cut out cloth, then fabric gluing it to the front - Did same thing for the "V" shirt - Used ribbon for the arm sashes - Glued mosaic tiles instead of star-shaped pins So yeah...had to improvise for most of it. I really hope it's at least convincing enough that folks know who I am...

Well unfortunately, I think I'd be a drag on any know-it-all team. I know the band members' names, and I know the albums, and that's it. None of the fancy background info I know about Coldplay. That said, considering it's a FACEBOOK challenge, there's probably plenty of teams who don't know crap about the band. Still, gonna pass. Best of luck to all who enter, though! :D

Yeah she did, but I found another friend to go with about an hour later! So it all worked out, even though that was a very disappointing hour. :P Unfortunately, we won't be able to start lining up until shortly before gates open since neither of us get out of class until 4:00, and we're over an hour from the venue and we plan on eating beforehand. Hopefully we can still get a good spot.
