  1. I saw the name "Brooke" at Coldplay.com, and even though there's countless Brooke's in the world, I still thought "The Brooke from Coldplaying!?" My intuition was right! Congratulations! :D Here's to more Coldplayers hopefully in the future!
  2. Thank goodness I read the comments beforehand so that I had no desire to play the clip. ;)
  3. I'm especially saddened by the exclusion of Butterflies & Hurricanes on this tour. But I guess that's what happens when you have such a vast library of fantastic songs (which will only get bigger). :\
  4. Fantastic review Bernard! Read the whole thing! They seem to be rotating the Showbiz-era songs, from what I'm gathering. I hope Unintended continues to get played.
  5. I can't even draw a tree properly, so of course I have no good Coldplay art. How I envy the artistic skill of others. I heard Speed of Sound in a mall elevator today, which I guess officially makes Coldplay into elevator music.
  6. As I said in the Weezer VLV Cover thread, the Pet Shop Boys performance of Viva La Vida is my favorite cover of the song from the many I've seen. For one, it actually doesn't suck.
  7. Nice article. Means a lot when coming from someone from A-ha. :)
  8. Damn, I haven't posted in here since JUNE? :stunned: Likewise, I just found out about the live CD/DVD. Sounds fantastic. I missed seeing them live even though they played a few shows near me in September (one of which was 30 minutes away), so I'll be looking forward to this.
  9. so i herd u liek philz? :mudkip: (Sorry, couldn't resist) The NORMAL people must be so confused by all this...
  10. Haha, this totally has nothing to do with Coldplay, but I've been playing Pokemon since Blue Version back in 1998. Geez, that sounds like such a long time... So, if each Coldplay member were a Pokemon, who would be what? :laugh3: Will, as you may have guessed from the sig, would be Seel.
  11. I still play Pokemon.
  12. Must...resist... For the record, "Worst fan ever" is somebody who watched Grey's Anatomy, saw the montage with "Chasing Cars" playing, bought (or heck, pirated) Eyes Open and only listened to Chasing Cars over and over without listening to anything else on the album, and claims that they're the biggest fan of the band ever. They think they're the best fan. And trust me, there's a lot of those people. If you know two or more songs from Snow Patrol, then you're a better fan than tens of thousands.
  13. The most hilarious thing just happened in my classroom. This is basically the class where everyone has fun and gets an A, and Viva la Vida came on my professor's iTunes and blared over the speakers during the mid-class break. So I challenged my friend to an improvized dance-off to VLV. Needless to say, in spite of my lack of dance skills, I kicked some serious ass. :D Halfway through the song, though, two girls behind me were like "OMG I love this song! Who's it by?" I responded, "Coldplay! My favorite band! Duh!" One of the girls then said "Eww. They get too much credit." Then I got angry.
  14. Wow...I feel like I've abandoned this thread! I feel so ashamed. I've resisted the leak of Up To Now, and I've started looking into The Reindeer Section, which I'd only heard like two songs from before. (I know this is the Snow Patrol Thread, not the Gary Lightbody thread, but still...) I'm liking what I'm hearing, but I'm still a bigger fan of good ol' SP. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of Reindeer Section reunion in the future, if at all possible.
  15. Basically... Landscape = Short and fat Portrait = Tall and skinny
  16. The website now looks really odd in black with the white newsreel. Now we're left to forever ponder that old wedding theme with our crackpot theories...
  17. Yeah, I sort of agree. A little generic and I'm not sure of the point of having the words constantly flash on the screen. I liked the whole "guitar wheel", though.
  18. Blah...all my neat pictures are on my computer at home, and I don't feel like driving all the way back there in the next 24 hours. All I've got are standard pictures like this, which isn't bad but a little generic: I'll submit it anyways, but I still may do a quick video.
  19. I'd go with the second only because the first one is a bit misty. Granted, the first one also has an "artsy" effect to it, so ask yourself if you're in an artistic mood or a scenic mood. ;)
  20. Was excited when I got that e-mail. Sometimes contacting a mysterious e-mail address for no good reason other than that you just can has its benefits! :laugh3: Hmm...I don't have anything good that's Coldplay-themed, but I have some neat photos nonetheless. "Landscape" shape does narrow it down a bit. Decisions, decisions... Heck, maybe I should whip up a quick Coldplay-themed stop-motion. Could be fun.
  21. Fantastic pics and vids, everyone! Looks like you had an unbelievable time! :D One of my friends approached me a few weeks ago and complained that he never got to go to any concerts with me. I told him to wait for Muse to announce U.S. tour dates. Now every other day he asks "Have they announced it yet?" :laugh3:
  22. Is Chris the one in front?
  23. I'm pretty neutral toward the X&Y version, but not only do I absolutely adore the live piano version, but hearing that actually made me appreciate the original more!
