If a Coldplay Song Could Be an Ice Cream Flavor...
You must be talking about "Ice in Technicolor". It's a rainbow sherbet that has a real "zing" to it! "The Hardest Part" is a nice name for the cone itself, however.

Hasn't NME got a history of despising Coldplay? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Messages from __***The Beehive***__ (FOUND! page 14...)
I'm not sure an indoor shot of a staircase is very helpful to people scouting its location. Remember - according to Phil - it's the "skanky looking one". Which could be anything. :laugh3: I think you're right on the money about the name. Unlike The Bakery, it's not named after it's original building, but rather after the productivity that hopes to occur there.

Where do you write "VIVA"?
:laugh3::laugh3: Umm...does writing "Viva" on a Spanish test count?

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Hell yes. Been checking KROQ's website for the past week, and they just confirmed rumors that Muse will be headlining Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles on December 13th. It's not a full show, but hey, I'll try to rally some people to come anyways. (Phoenix is playing too!) :D

Am I the only one who thinks The Hardest Part (X&Y) is total crap, BUT...
Didn't Chris once say he hated the original song but liked the video? (I actually like the song and hate the video) I know Chris really likes the piano version, however.

AROBTTH was amazing, but this 3rd album is going to be even better! :D I just hope this won't be their last album. :\

Extraneous Noises on songs
I always felt it was like a cow burning, considering the lyrics and all. :laugh3: Then there's the little chime in Clocks at the end of "closing walls and ticking clocks"

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
USoE isn't bad, but it's one of my least favorite tracks off The Resistance. It's lyrically terrible, and while I understand they weren't taking themselves seriously with "Eura-SIA! SIA! SIA! SIA!", it doesn't make it any less painful. I'll gladly listen to Collateral Damage, however.

The Snow Patrol Thread
Up To Now is now available in the U.S.! I just plucked "Give Me Strength" and "Dark Roman Wine" off iTunes and gave 'em a listen. I'm really liking GMS, but I'm a little iffy on DRW. I think it's funny (and a little cute) how "Give Me Strength" is about the other boys in the band.

The Reworked Tour sounds amazing! I'm wondering what older songs they'll be re-introducing. Maybe even some pre-Final Straw stuff. Regardless, I'm envious of those of you who can go!

Best U2 Album
I definitely like Zooropa better than Pop. While in my personal bottom half of U2 album rankings, Zooropa was still an acceptable departure from the huge rock anthems of Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Heck, "Stay (Faraway, So Close)" is probably one of my top 10 songs by U2. Innovation felt like something U2 needed to do, even if some fans were divided by it. In a way, I think No Line on the Horizon has fallen victim to some of the same criticism. I'm just not a fan of Pop, however. I like "Staring at the Sun" and "If God Will Send His Angels" and...that's about it. The album seemed like a sign that U2's innovation had maybe strayed a bit too far (which was likewise reversed by ATYCLB).

U2
Bloody psychic. They just did. :inquisitive: http://www.u2.com/news/title/second-show-for-anaheim-2010 Unfortunately I had to attend a lecture this morning, so I missed the opportunity to get tickets for the first show. Hopefully next week I'll have more luck for the second.

Best U2 Album
Another vote for Achtung Baby. While I like nearly every track on The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby has more tracks that I LOVE. One, Until the End of the World, Even Better Than the Real Thing, The Fly, Mysterious Ways, Ultraviolet, it goes on. Talk about one killer album that not only churns out hits left and right, but has a treasure trove of non-hits that are just as special. As all good mothers should! :laugh3:
