  1. I'll probably miss it tonight, but just for the hell of it: "My dream is that Will suddenly says, 'I'm gonna be a flamboyant, homosexual drummer, wear outrageous clothes, and say outrageous things.' I would love nothing more, partly just to see how it looked, but also because, you know, sometimes you want a bit of help."
  2. "Viva la Vida" is gonna stay with the band until the end of their careers, like it or not. "Lovers in Japan" is the song I'd most like to see return, and its butterflies seem to make it popular enough to keep. "Violet Hill" and "Life in Technicolor ii" are pretty popular but aren't for certain whether they're gonna stay. I'd actually like to see "Lost!" turned into "Lost?" next tour. I predict everything else is history.
  3. Favorite performance of favorite song, you say? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzpGk44UXKQ]YouTube - Time Is Running Out: Live At Wembley Stadium 2007[/ame] The Glastonbury one already posted is also just as good. So yeah, Time is Running Out is my favorite, but I'm also really big on Unintended, Plug In Baby, and Butterflies & Hurricanes.

  8. Where the Streets Have No Name As well as a whole lot of lesser-known songs. :D
  9. Oh God, did he imagine that all of our avatars were pictures of ourselves? Because that would be really awkward for me.
  10. "High Speed" makes me think of waves crashing for whatever reason.
  11. Pretty much my story except that I didn't see them in concert until after buying the first two albums. And I also think AROBTTH is the greatest. :D So I was a really casual fan during X&Y, but when VLV came out, I actually made the effort to go back and discover all their previous material. For that brief timeframe, Viva la Vida was my favorite Coldplay song...but then I discovered Politik and others. :D Even then, Viva la Vida easily still ranks in my top 10 songs by Coldplay. And it's not even my favorite from the album. But It'll probably never leave the band's setlist as long as they continue to exist. So basically, I voted for the "I don't care" option. :P

  14. Ah, I wanted to see Elbow. :\ I really do hope they can become bigger here in the States. Nice interview, and not surprised he's a fan of The Scientist.

  17. Maybe USoE will make more sense within the context of the album. It does indeed feel strange to have a random song about the unity of continents and nations (the type of thing only Matt would be interested in ), but if Uprising is any indication, "The Resistance" seems to be about some mass coming-together to overthrow a power. I now feel pretty mixed about USoE after a few weeks, as I love the piano bits but think everything else is exaggerated.
  18. You must mean the Thin White Duke Mix of Viva la Vida. It was released on Coldplay.com last December, but you can still find it if you try searching in this forum's Multimedia section. ;)
  19. I can at least tell you that Los Angeles blows. This isn't true for every big city, but at most LA concerts I've been to (not just Coldplay), much of the crowd is just there because they need a way to spend a Saturday night or because their friends in the recording industry gave them free tickets. As a result, the real fans of the band get lost in the jumble. Of course, Coldplay themselves love LA, so I guess we can appreciate their frequent visits. :)
  20. You keep being shocked about my dislike for IBB. You have made feel guilty... :( I'm going to cry in my disgrace now.
  21. Best is "Things I Don't Understand", which could easily replace one of the songs on X&Y. Always been sour toward "I Bloom Blaum". :\
