  1. Seal of disapproval.
  2. He's probably referring to the recently leaked VLV-era demos floating around the Internet. Sounding "complicated" doesn't necessarily make you better, though Matt does tend to focus on stunning bridges more than Chris. I'd say that while Matt is more technically proficient, Chris's more simplistic piano helps carry a song better. Needless to say, both are amazing pianists.
  3. Everyone gets butterflies when seeing Coldplay live. The lucky ones just happen to get a different kind of butterflies that are paper and colorful and get shot out of cannons. :laugh3: I felt the same way during the X&Y era, where I wanted to see them in concert but just never got around to it. But after I first saw them last year, I vowed never to miss them again whenever they toured nearby. If you missed them on this tour, I'm sure your time will come in the future! After all, Coldplay is dominating the planet. :D
  4. ^ Uh...lol? :inquisitive::lol: HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL! *rings 31 VLV bells in celebration*
  5. Corkus replied to Technicolor Liver's topic in Coldplay
    I agree with Paul.
  6. Reminds me of the following quote: Marge: "Have you or Lenny ever won World's Sexiest Man before?" Homer: "Hmm...not sure about Lenny." Uh...someone who pals around with Guy. Maybe Phil, I dunno. Brian Eno is Mr. Burns.
  7. ^ True, "co-written" doesn't necessarily mean it's their recording. Still, let's keep our fingers crossed. :) So we have now solved the mysteries of Lhuna, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, and Lukas. Just waiting on Famous O...fine, I won't venture into that territory.
  8. So you're saying that Will is a recovering alcoholic, but has an angelic singing voice? Sounds about right.
  9. :stunned: And not just Lukas, but two others? Fantastic news! Thank you for sharing! :D
  10. Nah, we were at my house. :P
  11. I told my friend that I had a nice butterfly collection. She said, "That's gay." Then I showed her what I meant...by opening my bag of butterfly confetti. After explaining what they were, she responded, "That's even gayer." As offended as I was, I laughed.
  12. :inquisitive: I'm just waiting till his shine wears off.
  13. I reset my play count every so often. And you know the honest reason for that? Because I'm too SCARED to know my total Coldplay play count. :stunned:
  14. I bet half of those views are stupid Satriani fans who waddle in just to post nonsense in the comments section. No seriously, premature congrats to VLV. :D Yet I can't help but feel it would get even more views had the Anton Corbijn video used...
  15. If these are in any way official, then they are very early rough drafts from the drawing room. Promotional art for The Simpsons is far more detailed and vibrant (especially in recent years). The White Stripes, for example: http://www.lardlad.com/cgi-bin/image.cgi?promo/habf18.jpg And Metallica: http://www.lardlad.com/cgi-bin/image.cgi?promo/habf15-a.jpg So don't hit the panic button yet, folks. ;)
  16. Not sure those are actually official art. If they're not rough drafts, they may be just fan-made, since I'm quite familiar with how the promotional art style looks for Simpsons guest stars.
  17. While I find Lhuna the "creepiest", I think the song with the most paranoia is certainly Spies. Beautiful song but gives me the chills.
  18. I don't know if we just attract more mature members or something, or if the rules are more lenient, but even though we have rule enforcement here, it seems to be needed infinitely less than the few other forums I visit. I see very few locked topics and very few users getting penalized, because we rarely need it. Likewise, it's a very pleasant place to be, most folks are friendly, and the staff members feel like friends rather than forum police. Kudos to Coldplaying.
  19. Does that list even include the amount of album sales that include the song? Or is it merely purchasing the song by itself?
  20. Corkus replied to a post in a topic in Coldplay
I had this same idea, and I know a few members here dressed up as Chris last year. See if you can pull up anything from around that time. Really, I think the hard part is gonna be finding the right jacket. You can't get an exact replica, but try all your local clothing outlets for the closest match.
  21. I'm already creating fictional scripts in my head for this episode: Homer: "Make Trade Fair? Pfft! If some guy in a pawn shop wants to trade me a slightly-used Blu-Ray Player for my priceless antique family heirlooms, let me have it!" Lisa: "No dad! Coldplay is in favor of promoting equal trade among nations to help sustain their society!" Homer: "You mean like Buy-One-Donut-Get-One-Free?" Chris: "No, actually..." Homer: "Quiet, James Morrison!" Chris: "Chris Martin." Homer: "Oh, you don't have to call me that." :D
  22. Fantastic pics and review! I can almost feel your excitement! :D Congrats on meeting the band!
  23. ^ Didn't the Jonas Brothers cover Fix You? (I refused to listen to it)
  24. ^ But Coldplay doesn't need computer-generated crowds to make their ad awesome. :P But yeah, I did notice the similarities when I first saw that.
  25. I do hope they look more like themselves in Simpsons form than in puppet form. MMM....TWIGLETS. :P Heck, with Futurama coming back, I would love to have seen the band's heads in jars.
