  1. Super Coldplay = Awesome :D I had a few minutes of free time at work today and whipped up a short story about Guy: BERRY THERAPY: A Short Story

  3. And unfortunately, I do believe that many politicians are to blame for making the people feel desperate by casting this fear upon them about how if they do not give up more freedom and power to the government, they will be left for dead. In a bad economy, this is especially prevalent as people begin lining up for whatever government assistance they can get. Unfortunately, nothing received from the government is actually free. Not even that pretty stimulus check. Even without touching upon the tax issue, a good example is this tobacco thing. While most people will not dispute the harmful effects of smoking, implementing something like this is only an interference in the basic freedoms people are entitled to. You are free to smoke, just as you are free not to smoke. And of course, there is the side-ramification that having to buy more cigarattes means more health issues regardless of the tobacco itself being reduced. Obama needs to start thinking before leaping in head-first. Then maybe some good will come, but this? Idiotic.
  4. That's a couple mentions for GPASUPYF now, and I'm actually curious to hear some detailed criticism against it. It's generally not a divisive song. I'm still not sure I quite "get" Warning Sign. I don't dislike it - not by a longshot - but it's never a must-listen for me, and I've always preferred Green Eyes over it.
  5. National Treasure 2: 7/10 Loses a few points for being too similar to the original, and I probably enjoyed the original more on the whole. Not bad, though. And I assume that if I hated the first Transformers, I'm gonna hate the second?
  6. - Glowsticks are great if you feel like it, but I don't think a Coldplaying Glowstick Rave is necessary. I'll probably bring one just for fun. - I'm just wearing a tour shirt. If you have any shirts Coldplay-related, wear it. Out of curiosity, what time do you people plan on arriving at the venue?

Indeed, the band gets the rest of the month off after touring constantly for the past month. Get some good rest before the festivals and then the FINAL NORTH AMERICAN LEG! :D
  8. Wow! Very funny! Definitely gave me a smile! You've suddenly made me think of who would make good supervillains in the Coldplay universe. :laugh3:
  9. Totally, I've been in depression for seven months. :( I'll break that depression next month, but afterwards I'll be depressed again until the LP5 tour. :P

  11. It's a good idea, although just to tick off potential Coldplay haters, I'd include as much Coldplay as possible. :P 27 DAYS The Weird Al fan in me appreciates the number 27. :D
  12. Quite a bump, but may as well share a brief story: My friend brought a few joints to our Coldplay concert in November. I told him I'd have no part in it, and if he got in trouble, I was entitled to still enjoy the concert. He had no problem sneaking it in (way easier than cameras, actually). So he started smoking as soon as LIT started, but some overprotective dad next to him smelled it and started screaming and threatening him. So he put it away, but after the concert, he told me his high lasted for Clocks, which is all he cared about. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if you smell it, but I wouldn't overreact unless it's overbearing.
  13. I already expressed my surprise in the show thread last night, so no dancing for me. :( I wonder if they'll still release a Live CD to go along with the DVD, considering how LRLRL already somewhat accomplished that. Granted, LRLRL is not accessible to everybody, and it's not very long either.
  14. In spite of the often-times-scary hoard of fans he has here, and even though he's opened himself up to the public eye a bit more through Twitter, I'm still going with the Berryman here. Chris is obviously off the list instantly, and Will has gotten more attention at concerts not only through DWNC, but the fact that Chris is constantly referencing him or telling the crowd to give his backing vocals a shout-out. Jonny is less-known, and casual fans don't even know his name or Guy's, but between him and Guy, I'd say he stands out more by merely being guitarist. The Berry Man (reference to a truck I saw), on the other hand, you have to keep a keener eye out for live. And while his Coldplaying fanbase is indeed impressive, I'm afraid the mainstream has far less appreciation for him. Hopefully his complusive Tweeting can skyrocket him to fame. ;)

  17. Regarding the song length issue, I definitely agree that both What If and Low should have been cut shorter and really tend to drag at the end. For the longest song on the album, Low does not due its length justice, even though I don't dislike the song. Heck, even the ending instrumental at the end of X&Y is unnecessary, though an admittedly nice piece. That said, I believe White Shadows is the perfect length. :) It all builds up to a serene ending that ends it beautifully and provides a nice lead-in into Fix You.

  21. Definitely a candidate for best song off BH&R.
  22. Bingo. I'm going to consider "most inspiring" different than "favorite", so I'm going with the following: Stuck on the end of this ball and chain And I'm on my way back down again Stood on a bridge, tied to a noose Sick to the stomach You can say what you mean But it won't change a thing I'm sick of the secrets Stood on the edge Tied to a noose And you came along And you cut me loose
