Random Coldplay thoughts...
According to MY calendar, Coldplay is NEVER out of season! :D I think of Parachutes as a good Autumn album, though. Maybe because the leaves are turning YELLOW or something. Or how the temperatures start to fall and make you SHIVER. Or how you eat turkey at a very HIGH SPEED. Or how you get in TROUBLE for... I'll stop now. :laugh3:

Heeheehee! Great quick reads! The James Morrison device may sound way too easy, yet I'm surprised that I haven't seen anybody use it yet! :)

A Coldplaying Project For 2009?
Consider this another vote in support of holding off for a while. As in, I'm in favor of waiting until after LP5 comes out so that we can get ideas from that, while not seeming predictable. If Coldplaying really wants to do a fun project this year, it could always be with our fellow forum members rather than with the band. Taking the Secret Santa idea, I suppose we could do one with each other (although it would get pretty expensive quickly). I'm sure there's a better idea out there.

Postcards from Far Away Project | FINAL UPDATE, go to COLDPLAY.COM!
Hmm...I'm really regretting not participating in this fantastic project. Regardless, congratulations to all of you who did, especially to those who were featured in the video! And if your card was not featured, I'm sure the band just felt your cards were too special to share with the rest of the world.:hug:

I believe it was only played at the Viva Tour's first show (which I totally would have gone to had my family not had a vacation planned then ).

^ I wish they still played that. I prefer Politik and I'm glad they play it, but I'd imagine that Square One would still be fantastic live.

Coldplayers, keep on the road you're on Coldplayers, until we make Joe gone Soldiers, we've got to soldier on Sometimes even Kid Rock is wrong They are turning my head out To get our Grammys back from Plant & Krauss Keeping Liam Gallagher down To see Miley's a stupid cow I have no doubt One day we're gonna fuck them up like POW! Tonight we're gonna drop the bomb Leaving trash on Satriani's lawn Ooooooh Ooooooh Dreaming of when we kill these chumps They are turning my head out To see that these fools are clowns Keeping these blasphemers down To see how much better Coldplay's music is than theirs I have no doubt That I've totally stopped rhyming because I hate these A-holes so much :)

Well, as a guy, I'm actually not too into that, nor do I really write about it. Every now and then, I'll still toss in something twisted or perverted for the sake of having a cheap gag, but I'd never focus a story around it. Besides, the appeal is limited for those types of things. I actually had some downtime last night (i.e. came back to room semi-drunk) and started writing a fair bit of dialogue for the beginning of my next fanfic. I have no idea how long it will end up being, but it's already more plot-based than The Prospekt of Oz, so it's not nearly as random even though the story itself may be even more ridiculous. :laugh3:

Reviewing the hitlist in the first post, Mad TV has actually been cancelled and will be finishing up soon, so that's our first successful insurgent fatality. Seriously, their current crew is so unfunny that they're even beneath the quality of the current SNL crew. I honestly get more laughs out of telling the Jonas Brothers to get boyfriends on their MySpace. Speaking of which, that's a freaking awesome idea and I'm going to do it right now. :laugh3:

18-Jul-09: Home Depot Centre, Carson, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Photos/Vid
I'm not gonna lie - the stadium floor sounds amazing. I was turned off by the floor at the last concert and settled with the stands, but considering the dynamics of this venue, I'm seriously gonna try for a stellar floor spot. Right now I'm needing two tickets. More could join in the next week before I get into the massive ticket-sniping brawl with the rest of you on the 20th, but keeping it small will make it easier to get A-grade seats.

This video has been taken down now, but I assume this would be the version released on the GOYB single, seeing as how that's very close to release. Didn't get to hear it, but I'm sure I'll find it soon enough. :laugh3:

The Goldrush Story is awesome. Quick, blunt, hilarious, and probably true. :D I may start another fanfic soon, and it will be an original story rather than a giant parody. I'll probably also use different personalities, but don't expect anything too soon. :)

Musical artists should automatically be added as your friend when you send a request, meaning you won't have to wait to be accepted. I don't condone this provacative behavior but...holy hell is it funny!!! :laugh3:

Honestly, I think Chris would have it that anybody in his army who dissed Radiohead would be dishonorably discharged. :dozey:

Random Coldplay thoughts...
So I took this girl to get her admittedly unattractive nose piercing replaced last night, and I was stuck in the piercing parlor for 10 minutes. Suddenly, Strawberry Swing randomly started playing over their speaker! Halfway through the song, she said she was ready to leave, but I didn't want to!:lol: Such an odd place to hear a lesser-known Coldplay song. I also heard Reign of Love in Pottery Barn the other day. :shocked2:

Very cool. Also, it has been announced on the website that the 4th single from Perfect Symmetry will be "Better Than This".
-
Wow...
Doubt it, as it strikes me as more of a nice "interlude" track that can't have much added to it, hence why it wound up on the EP. It's great to hear live, but also really suspenseful knowing that you're about to wail and scream when it ends 'cause Viva is about to start.
