SCRUBS!!! NEW SEASON!! (Why no episode this week?)
^ As expected. Can't say I'm a fan of the new interns, either. Their best contribution is enhancing and helping mature the existing characters.

Life In Technicolor ii - Video Premiere UK 4Music 20th Jan (##Video, Making Of & Interview: in first
Not ashamed of voting a 10. Certainly their best video since Talk, and perhaps a candidate for the best of their career. I want those puppets on my desk now.

Any way to get a live feed online, by chance? I don't wanna wait an extra three minutes for someone to throw it on YouTube.

What the hell...I'm bored enough to participate in this glorified Myspace fad. Muse - Assassin Death Cab for Cutie - Different Names for the Same Thing The Fray - Vienna AFI - Miss Murder Panic at the Disco - Behind the Sea The Killers - This is Your Life Keane - She Has No Time Oasis - Lyla Snow Patrol - Cubicles Oasis - Let There Be Love Intrigued by lack of Coldplay, which is 1/5 of my overall library.

SCRUBS!!! NEW SEASON!! (Why no episode this week?)
...the hell? I missed a Scrubs thread on this forum? Been a big fan for a few years. Sad to see it ending, but I'm hoping it goes out in real style. "My Last Words" was certainly amazing, and I'm glad they're tying up loose ends with pretty much every main character (the Janitor is said to get married later in the season) and reuniting JD and Elliot now that they've finally matured (well, matured as much as they can without losing their quirks). As for the skip this week, I can only guess it's because ABC doesn't want to compete with the inauguration coverage on all the other channels. Terrible day in general to air new episodes of anything.

What Coldplay songs make you cry?
Going with the conformist choice of Fix You, although depending on my mood, it may actually make me happier. Trouble is another one that can get me emotional, though it's never made me fully cry.

Anyone In LA for Grammys/Red Carpet??
I'm not far from L.A., but there's no way in hell I'm gonna even try. :P I'm a little edgy around unruly mobs (except at concerts).

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
Over a month ago, I waltzed into this thread saying how I was disappointed in the album and how "Human" had to grow on me for a while. Turns out, the majority of the songs on Day & Age are indeed lengthy growers. I'm now much more keen on A Dustland Fairytale, I Can't Stay, and especially Spaceman, which has become a new favorite. Not every song has grown on me (still dislike Joy Ride and Goodnight, Travel Well), but I can consider most of the album a good listen now. Not sure I'd like to see The Killers continue on this path, but I can certainly live with Day & Age being a fine "experiment".

U2
It's certainly not a bad song, but given the hype, I suppose I was expecting something more...exuberant for the first single. Doesn't mean it has to be as chorus-dependent as Vertigo, though I certainly dig the "You don't know how beautiful you are" sequences. I'll be giving it more listens throughout the day. :)

Show Off "Your" Coldplay!
Wow...um...wow...er...wow...yeah... While you must really not have a life, that must mean that Coldplay is your life, which can be a good thing! :D Never really took pictures of my crap. Just know that I have a poster on my dorm wall and a few other misc. merchandise.

I actually believe "City of Blinding Lights" was used as the theme of a few Obama campaign rallies. Obama himself has placed it on his personal list of top 10 favorite songs. Naturally, since I don't really like the guy, this may be the only part of the inauguration coverage I watch. :P I think two songs would happen if we're lucky, though.

Not fully functional yet, however. The whole album does show up in iTunes as a pre-order, along with Get on Your Boots highlighted, but an error message pops up if you try to place a pre-order purchase. It will likely be activated Monday or Tuesday. Stop getting me excited over nothing. :P

Album Art - Hmm...seems dry but is actually effective (lines above and below the horizon, but no line on the horizon). I suppose I was expecting the band on it since they've been on the last several. Track List - Wasn't "Moment of Surrender" said to be 8 minutes? Not sure I feel great about it being the 3rd track, then. Single Snippets - Unfortunately too brief and low-quality to really get anything out of it. Ah well, just a few more days...

The Fray: Coldplay are an inspiration
I can see the slight influence. It's funny, because I did mention over in the Fray thread that The Fray needs to begin branching out their styles like Coldplay did with VLVODAAHF. They've finally got a new album next month, and it's sounding like more of the same. Quality stuff, but still the same.

Coldplay song used on American Idol
Didn't watch, but last night was the auditions with all the horrible people, right? The important thing is that Coldplay wasn't actually sung by a contestant. :D

Life In Technicolor ii CHIPMUNK VERSION! :D
Made me smile, but it takes a certain song to make a truly awesome "Chipmunkification". :) As I said in the other thread, for some reason I can picture Politik being hysterical, especially if sped up 150%

Haha, oh yes. True to my word, I have stalked the web during jury service. The VLVODAAHF vidoes were all in pretty standard format, so it's nice to see one that breaks tradition. And puppets? Hell yes. Only problem is that I'll never be able to watch another Jim Hensen movie without thinking of Coldplay. Which actually isn't much of a problem at all. :laugh3:

Coldplay @ GRAMMY Awards 2009 | Performed Lost & Viva La Vida | WON 3 AWARDS! [PICTURES/VIDEOS IN FI
Sometimes networks are smart and purposely won't pit a new episode of a high-rated show opposite a big awards show. But not all the time. I'd really like to hear LITii, although the chances of Viva being played aren't exactly slim due to it being the Best Song and Best Record nominee.
