Ah good, the thread is made. Granted, I do think we need a few legal advisers and totally irrational attorneys. If somebody offends us, we will file a lawsuit. Of course, to "file a lawsuit" is codename for "send letter bomb", while "charge & allegation" secretly means "pre-emptive strike". If we get in trouble with any government organization, well...then the government can go on our hitlist, too. I certainly suggest adding Andrew Hoepfner - VLV's first plagiarism accuser. Two-time robbery. Of our awards. Made Jonny and Chris share a Grammy that night while Will and Guy got to sleep with their own.
  2. It is still a part of the current setlist, and I sincerely hope it's not rotated out by the time they revisit the States in the summer...
  3. Is it too late to enlist? It seems the Army needs more recruits than ever these days, with evildoers from abroad threatening our very way of worshipping Coldplay. I would stop at nothing to protect our freedom and natural-born right to sing the VLV chant in public. :D:D
  4. Gonna second all the praises of its performance live. Several live songs like Lost! and In My Place sound much better than their recordings, but Politik takes the cake, and is one of my favorite Coldplay songs overall. No doubt my favorite non-single, at the least.
  5. http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/74263 Click the seating chart drop-down and then click "Concert". So soccer stadium looking very likely. I'm surprised there isn't more hype here for an L.A. concert.
  6. I don't know much about how company merges work, but I've been quite turned off by Ticketmaster in recent months, especially after hearing of the whole Springsteen ordeal a few weeks back. I'm not against monopolies, but they can be quite dangerous in the wrong hands. Who I have always disliked is Senator Schumer, and his thought of "unrivalled power over concert-goers and the prices they pay" is rather concerning, methinks. With competition, there was balance.
  7. YELLOW "by the church"
  8. 1. Clocks - The definitive Coldplay song, being more about the band as a whole than simply Chris. The song itself is beautiful, but a live performance of it is spellbinding. 2. Viva La Vida - Because I'm required to like it, especially since it's the only Coldplay song the rest of my family knows. Seriously, it's lively, upbeat, majestic, and fantastic fun to sing along to with others (especially that *one* part...). 3. Trouble - Note that this #3 slot often rotates between Trouble, Talk, Speed of Sound, and Politik, depending on how I feel. But Trouble is perhaps my favorite of the more melancholy tunes. I even made a video to it for a class. And about the guy-to-girl ratio here, us guys exist to prove that you don't have to find the band sexually attractive and can still think they're totally awesome. :D
  9. Swallowed in the Sea (again) "your way down"
  10. The Grammys generally have at least one "dark horse" winner, and Plant/Krauss were certainly that dark horse, but to give them both Record and Album seems like that's pushing it to me. I always felt that best Album was going to be the biggest challenge for Coldplay, especially since Radiohead and Ne-Yo provided some excellent competition, whereas Song and Record weren't as competitive. But I didn't consider Plant/Krauss fair game. Meh, 40 years from now, Chris Martin could very well have skin sagging from his face just like Robert Plant and will be accepting a set of Grammys. ;)
  11. Just watched it on coldplay.com I kept trying to crack a smile at Chris's comments, and it finally happened whenever he talked about Will. I was about to request a screencap of the "rules", so thanks Jizo.
  12. Heh, I kinda wish he wrote this 2 months ago to have it produced in time for Christmas. Would have been way better than the VLV mix. And sometimes I really wish Chris passed that penmanship portion of elementary school. :P
  13. Need a beer, Phil? Don't we all.:) Gonna go out for a bit, but I'll be back later for more post-show hooplah and post-mortems.
  14. "Guy Champion" is my favorite "drummist", just like how "Will Berryman" is my favorite "basser". Also, one of MSN's Grammy pages talked about one of Will's comments, but said they were muttered by Chris. :inquisitive:
  15. I wish I had known that I could have turned this darned thing off two-and-a-half hours earlier. Now that my initial RAGE has subsided and is now morphing into the slightly more rational POST-RAGE, at least the band can now say they have won a Grammy for Song of the Year. Their two biggest songs have won Record and Song, respectfully. Sadly, I think it may take until Chris and the gang start having chunks of skin droop from their faces like Robert Plant until they are recognized as "legends" by the academy. Same with Radiohead.
  16. Will sleeps with one Grammy tonight. Guy sleeps with one Grammy tonight. Chris and Jonny take turns sleeping with the 3rd Grammy, and if they fight over it, Phil takes it away and sleeps with it for tonight. :laugh3::laugh3:
  17. Robert Plant's face is so close to melting off at this point that this may be the last award he is ever able to see. So enjoy it, puss bucket. I'm now going to eat a giant chicken drum and pretend its made up of vital organs of the academy's voters.
  18. FUCK YOU ROBERT PLANT AND SKANK Gonna go eat now. IN RAGE.
  19. I love Zooey Deschanel about as much as I hate Ben Gibbard for stealing her. And believe me, that's A LOT. Yeah. She's hot. Way hotter than this Alison Krauss babe who I want to GTFO the stage already and not win the award.
  20. Coming up next? Better well be. I'm so hungry I could eat M.I.A. a cow.
  21. I'M HUNGRY.:veryangry2: If Coldplay doesn't win, however, I'll be hungry for vengeance.
  22. - Awesome jump shot. Methinks chris should don a plumber's outfit and a red cap, if ya know what I mean... - Doofus has Obasm (Obama orgasm) on stage. Typical. - Waiting for Album to be announced so I can turn this off and finally eat. >.<
  23. Hmm...must have not paid attention to the wink. Damn, does Radiohead normally sound that good live? I admit to not having watched many live videos of them.
  24. Album of the Year. That's it. 3 for 6 so far. They need 4 so each of them can sleep with one.
  25. Coldplaying hasn't been loading for me well, so here's are my overall thoughts so far: - Better performance than expected, though I'm still not keen on Jay-Z's contribution to Lost!. - Extremely pleased VLV got Song of the Year, though I thought Record of the Year would have also been a sweep. Guess the panel wanted to "mix things up" by going with the most unpredictable thing. Bleh. - I always thought Album of the Year was going to be the biggest toss-up award, but with that Record snub, I'm even less confident.
