3rd? Okay, at least that means Chris isn't gonna be all sweaty for having to follow Radiohead.

Guess the song!
Swallowed in the Sea "let me come in"

U2
I only listened to each clip once so that I wouldn't keep them stuck in my head and so that I wouldn't be driven to insanity wondering what the rest of each song was like. Much of it sounds pretty laid-back. Though I seriously have no idea what's up with "FEZ - Being Born", which sounds experimental to the core. "Stand Up Comedy" and "Cedars of Lebanon" strike me as the "statement" songs judging by a few lyrics. But yeah, that's all I'm listening to until the inevitible album leak in the final week of February.

One of Jay-Z's lines in Lost+ goes: Media meddles, [censored] sue you, you settle They could tweak that whole line into something hilarious.

They've performed Lost! quite a few times on TV, and as much as I dislike Lost+, I don't believe they've performed it live ever before (correct me if I'm wrong). I suppose I wouldn't have minded if this weren't the GRAMMYS, which I believe they need something far more spectacular for. *was also on LITii bandwagon* The fact that Coldplay performs after Radiohead is gonna send Chris on a spiel beforehand about how he won't be able to live up to their performance and how the audience should prepare for a disappointment. Damn it.

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
You know, while another set of UK dates would not surprise me at all, something else that wouldn't surprise me is possibly a couple more U.S. shows being announced last-minute. It's happened before, so somebody here may get lucky. :) But I'm not gonna let this thread's depression get me down today. 2009 - new material or not - is gonna be just as awesome as 2008 for Coldplay.

16-Jul-09: Wireless Amphitheatre, San Diego, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Pho
I've never "concert stalked" before, so while I'm undoubtedly hitting the Carson show, I've got quite a few relatives spread out across San Diego (including cousins in Spring Valley) that I could easily stay with if I really feel so obsessive to go to this, too. Economic situation says no, but the thought of Coldplay probably negates any thrift store shopping I'll be forced to do for a month. I'll sleep on it. :D

18-Jul-09: Home Depot Centre, Carson, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Photos/Vid
I am absolutely going to this concert and am going to plan work and vacations accordingly around it. Not listed on LiveNation yet likely due to the pre-sale being two weeks away, but I've got to get friends' summer schedules ASAP. The Home Depot Center is a very interesting (outdoor!) venue consisting of a tennis court, soccer stadium, and track facility. I've been to the tennis court a few times for non-sporting events, but it seems too small for a concert. And the problem with the soccer stadium is that with its sheer size and ability to hold 27,000 people (and that's just seats above the floor), I truly hope Coldplay is ready for their biggest California concert ever if they use it. Methinks the tennis court would be a lot more feasible with the floor stuff (rallies I've been to there were all great). Further info: http://www.homedepotcenter.com/

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
Well, now that I'm less shocked, I'm very excited in spite of this being something you wouldn't think they'd do such a type of announcement for. I've been to the Home Depot Center in Carson a few times (most recently to see - believe it or not - Sarah Palin), but never for a concert, so I can't tell if it will be a good venue. It has a tennis court, soccer stadium, and track facility, and I'm predicting the soccer stadium will be used. But holy shit, I need to round up my buddies and inform them...when they're awake. Actually...scratch that. They deserve to be woken up for this. :D

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
Part of me wanted something that all of us could enjoy. But most of me is just really fucking happy right now, and I know Carson very well... :D:D:D How can I feel so sorry and so happy at once? :stunned:

Coldplay's Twitter
I can't decide whether I should set my alarm for 4:00 AM my time or just wake up normal time and miss all the initial spazzing and hooplah. Problem is that we don't know just how big the "quite big" news will be. I'll definitely consider it, seeing as how I can always go back to sleep and can afford to sleep in on Fridays. Methinks something related to the Grammys is certainly possible, seeing as how we don't know what will be performed yet, but the text seems to indicate that it will be more significant than a few-minute appearance at an awards show.

Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
In spite of me living relatively close to L.A., I stated that I'd rather not stalk the gang on Grammy night in fear of being mowed down by mob rule. But now? I'm suddenly tempted to do it; not to mob the band, but rather to be their blockade against the lawyers. How, you ask? By using the one thing that lawyers fear more than anything else - OTHER LAWYERS. Although, having those very lawyers get sued for harrassment might be quite ironic indeed... Before I said that Joe Satriani probably has better things to do and that he shouldn't waste his time with the process, but not only has this latest press release made him look like a dickhole, but it gives the vibe of him just being a loon.

U2
So in spite of me tuning in and out of the game repeatedly, I caught the ad. Just the end of the song playing while some player makes a mad dash with the NFL being advertised. Nothing big.

Next Coldplay Music Video
If Coldplay is doing any more videos for the VLV "era", I could only see it being Glass of Water (which I actually thought would come before LITii). Of course, there's also a good chance this could be all we're getting, as 5 videos is quite a bit.

U2
I take bathroom and beverage breaks when the actual game is playing. I only stay attentive for the commercials and maybe halftime. Heck, I just found out only two days ago what teams were playing.

The Snow Patrol Thread
New video for latest single - 'If There's a Rocket Tie Me to It'! http://music.aol.co.uk/snow-patrol-video-exclusive/article/20090130112609990001 Like it a lot better than the vid for 'Crack the Shutters'.

Stage Invasions!
^ Personally, I was thinking more along the lines of "Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground". We could all coordinate a Coldplaying.Com stage invasion, in which each member strategically is assigned to rushing an assigned point upon the same cue. This would have to include a few members para-sailing from above in order to leave the band no route of escape even through a balloon. Oh, what fun that would be (unless it suffocated them). :D

U2
Holy cow, that is one tripped-out, psychadelic, massively overproduced video. Awesome. :stunned: Actually makes me like the song. :P

Chris Martin voted one of Britain's moodiest celebrities
I suppose I'm the only one who never thought of being "moody" as something negative.

Official Coldplaying:Coldplayers' Wallpapers
Really freaking cool. I know a few people made Viva wallpapers (mostly based off that iTunes ad), but this is really talented. By comparison, my digitial graphic abilities are rather...blah. Is that the only size it's saved in, though? My screen's resolution is a bit smaller, and I don't have Photoshop on this PC to resize it well.
