  1. Oh yes, he is exciting. I truly do love him. And I'm British! Haha. But America does hold influence on the world and the Anglo-American empire impacts my life. Hey, I found this - relating to Student/Children issue....it's no about loans but it's great to see him talking about such things. QUOTE FROM RON PAUL.... "The federal government does not own our children. Yet we act as if it does by letting it decide when, how, and what our children will learn. We have turned their futures over to lobbyists and bureaucrats. I support giving educational control back to parents, who know their children better than any politician in D.C. ever will. The federal government has no constitutional authority to fund or control schools. I want to abolish the unconstitutional, wasteful Department of Education and return its functions to the states. By removing the federal subsidies that inflate costs, schools can be funded by local taxes, and parents and teachers can directly decide how best to allocate the resources. To help parents with the costs of schooling, I have introduced H.R. 1056, the Family Education Freedom Act, in Congress. This bill would allow parents a tax credit of up to $5,000 (adjustable after 2007 for inflation) per student per year for the cost of attendance at an elementary and/or secondary school. This includes private, parochial, religious, and home schools. Another bill I have sponsored, H.R. 1059, allows full-time elementary and secondary teachers a $3,000 yearly tax credit, thus easing their financial burden and encouraging good teachers to stay in an underpaid profession. Many parents have already shown their desire to be free of federal control by either enrolling their children in private schools or homeschooling them. And students enrolled in these alternatives have consistently performed better and tested higher than those in state-run schools. Years of centralized education have produced nothing but failure and frustrated parents. We can resurrect our public school system if we follow the Constitution and end the federal education monopoly." http://www.ronpaullibrary.org The quotes in that Stop Dreaming video are amazing......and he means them, which helps.
  2. Awesome man. I've been spreading Ron Paul's mesage for a long time.. He's truly amazing.
  3. A tree photo I took. Look like veins/arteries. And a rather inauspicious photo of London I took a while ago. Just the way I like it.
  4. Well, cute might be a word few people use to describe him......haha. I loved him though.
  5. Just one of the many Cats I looked after for a year in London. Felix was his name, how typical but I didn't name him. Very funny cat.....seriously - one of a kind. His face is wet from drinking the water out of my tiny pond - the little devil.
  6. Ron Paul Smashes Record With $6 Million Plus One Day Haul Expect hit pieces to go into overdrive as media tries to spin momentous day Ron Paul has smashed the all-time primary record for political donations on one day, beating John Kerry's previous effort as he hauled in over $6 million dollars during a 24-hour period that coincided with the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. The true figure could even tally up to near $7 million once all donations have been fully processed. As of 12 Midnight EST, Paul campaign headquarters confirmed the total to be over $6 million while others had the figure at around $6.4 million. That total just represents processed credit card donations. The final total is likely to be closer to $7 million once checks, Paypal e-checks, and money orders are fully processed. At 6am CST, several news agencies such as Reuters were still reporting that Paul had raised just $4.5 million, which is a little odd considering the fact that writers are employed around the clock. Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton confirmed that the average donation was around $50 dollars. Over 107,000 individual donors contributed to the sum of almost $18 million for the quarter and counting. The Congressman is on course to quadruple his fundraising in comparison to the $5.1 million raised during the third quarter which itself was a doubling of the second quarter total. We now expect the media spin machine to go into overdrive and hit pieces to swarm in the final week before Christmas. An early CNN report on the record breaking fundraiser still sardonically refers to Paul as a "long shot" and fails to underline the true significance of yesterday's watershed and history making events. Silly media.
  7. Yeah, 18th Jan 2008 I think. 1st February 2008 in the UK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloverfield
  8. Yeah, I do know what you mean. It's something which I spend time pondering over myself.

  11. My Mam loves them and my Dad likes them a bit too. She's listened to Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer loads - knows nearly all of the words for gods sake. 'Let Down' is one of her favorites.
  12. I almost had coffee coming out of my nose when I saw this.
  13. Ron Paul "Obliterates Field" In National Presidential Caucus Ron Paul "Obliterates Field" In National Presidential Caucus Texas Congressman the outright winner in collation of 19 caucuses throughout US Infowars.net Wednesday, Dec 12, 2007 Congressman Ron Paul has been declared the emphatic winner of the first ever National Presidential Caucus, a collation of results from Democrat, Republican and "open" caucus groups that were organised independently online and caucused face-to-face across the nation on December 7th. Results were tallied from 19 independently formed caucus groups (Republican, Democrat, and open) that met on Friday, December 7th, 2007 in the following locations: Dallas, TX (2D); Sarcoxie, MO (O); Boise, ID ®; Needham, MA (D); Carthage, MO (O); Manhattan, KS (D & R); Pineville, MO (O); Richmond, MO (O); Costa Mesa, CA (O); Springfield MO ®; Winston-Salem, NC (O); Overland Park, KS ®; New York City, NY (O); and Joplin, MO ®, Warrensburg, MO ®, Roselle Park, NK (D), and Philadelphia, PA (O). While some groups were small informal gatherings, others attracted hundreds of people including some party officials and campaign staff. Before voting was undertaken, discussions were held on several key issues with deliberation on the stance of individual candidates factored in. The NPC's official press release announced the results: Barack Obama wins over Democrat voters generating 40% of Democrat Caucus voter preferences. Obama was followed by a three-way tie for second, with John Edwards, Bill Richardson and "Undecided" each generating 20% of Democratic Caucus preferences. On the Republican side, Ron Paul obliterated the field for the GOP generating the preference of 50% of GOP Caucuses. Mike Huckabee and Fred Thompson follow, generating 33.3% and 16.6% of Republican Caucus preferences, respectively. Among votes in Open Caucuses, Ron Paul wins with 62.5% of Open Caucus votes, followed by Barack Obama (18.75%), Fred Thompson (12.5%), and Hilary Clinton (6.25%). The National Presidential Caucus describes itself as "the product of a consortium of partisan, bi-partisan and non-partisan interests who seek to demonstrate how local, self-organized, web-enabled face-to-face gatherings is the new basis for participatory democracy". Supporting organisations include Stanford University's Center for Deliberative Democracy, popular political website Politics Online and the University of Virginia's Center for Politics. The group has received endorsements from former US Senators, university professors and chairs of independent political organisations. The group has also received mainstream attention from outlets such as CBS, the Washington Post and the New York Times. The results once again show that Ron Paul has widespread support all over the country as he continues to dispel the mainstream media perpetuated myth that he is a second tier candidate. Meanwhile with 4 days still to go before the Ron Paul Boston Tea Party fundraising event this Sunday, the Congressman's coffers have soared to a total of $11.3 million for the quarter at time of writing. This means that Paul's campaign could hit its target of $12 million before Sunday's event, which has so far seen almost 30,000 people pledge to donate at least $100. Given that last time 17,500 pledges equated to 4.3 million, 33,000 pledges could equate to just under double that amount, meaning an unprecedented record breaking $8 million super haul is definitely on the cards. At the very least Paul looks certain to break his own record of 4.3 million raised in one day on November 5th. Ron Paul's campaign is also urging supporters to take a christmas vacation in Iowa to help the Congressman place high in the caucus on Jan. 3rd. Ron Paul's Schedule and voter registration information can be viewed here.
  14. Typical....Been in the audience for that show a few times (mostly for a laugh when I lived in London) and I must say it's absolutely terrible (now it is anyway). The way they discuss the issues is a laugh a minute....acting like they know what they are talking about - while all they seem to do is share anecdotal stories most times.
  15. That's global warming for you.... :dozey:
  16. Lies. They are pushing a global carbon tax based on seriously misleading information - and a whole lotta lies. Add pictures of falling ice and some polar bears and the masses are sold. It's unbelievable.
  17. Hmm, I'm staying out of this one...for a change. They are using the IPCC report to draft the new agreement and it's not a valid framework. Not scientifically either. (In my opinion of course) So much for me staying out of this.
  18. Yeah, it's China. There's so many stories about 'second child' snatching over there, it's disgusting. Some families even try to have a second child in secret.....sometimes resulting in death to mother and/or baby.
  19. hahahaha :laugh3: I know what you mean.
  20. I don't know/care...but Ssomeone chop her head off and be done with it. Wouldn't have to see her face or hear her speak/"sing". No more, no more, no more....please.
  21. Yeah. It is nice to have them at higher resolutions.
  22. Eventually got my Discbox after I missed the first delivery. Very nice. I must say the Photos and Artwork contained on the second Disc are really great.
