There is some good music out there today, but 90s alternative music was a great scene. I miss it, too. Soundgarden are a great band, and Chris Cornell is one of rocks great voices.

^ Yeah, I saw them a couple of weeks ago. Acqueous Transmissions is always their closer. It's a killer song. I think Incubus are one of the best bands going, however, there never is much discussion about them on this board. It's to bad :cry:

It's pretty good. I am kind of shocked that the song appears to be so radio-friendly. I can't remember the last time PJ did that.

Thom is such a great guitar player. Love that version of True Love Waits. That song is just mesmerizing.

^ To me, it didn't seem dark enough. That's always the feeling I get when I listen to that song. Part of it was due to the fact that it was daylight in the video.

I don't think Weird Fishes/Apreggi was that good. It's a brilliant tune, I just need to see someone playing a guitar. I don't know, it was just missing something. And the beat in the background was distracting. Also, I was disappointed with Harrowdown Hill. I have never heard that song live, and it is my favorite song from the Eraser. But True Love Watis...Wow! That was sure good. I wish we could get a studio version of that song. I am just curious to see what the result would be. I wish he would have played Paranoid Android. That is so fucking awesome live and solo. That version for the Bridge School benefit is top notch.

^ absolutely. I just have a problem when people try to censor my opinion. I don't even care if others love his haircut. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I don't need someone telling me what I should and shouldn't say.

I don't want to be his mum or dad. I want to discuss what I think on a message board. Bad haircut IMHO...deal with it!

I would love to get MLK in the setlist when I go to see them. I love that song. Also, I am really missing 40. That was such a great closer on the Vertigo tour.

Is a band still a band if everyone leaves? I will have to ask Axl Rose.

Yeah, I have not heard a thing from this band in a long time. Not a big fan, but I never gave them much of a chance. I just remembering hearing so much about them and then nothing at all.

I don't like that haircut on Thom. He looks like a shaggy dog. Someone, he always made the receded hairline look good with some type of odd cut. He should go back to it. By the way, I love it when he goes acoustic. I love Jonny, but sometimes I wish we would get more of this type of stuff. Sometimes, I think their songs would be better served if Jonny left his mad scientist sound kit at home.

I like her, too. Good pop tunes. She is tone deaf when she sings live, though.

^ Yeah, after further consideration, I guess a solo album would be interesting. I just can't help but think of it as a distraction from what I really want....a new Strokes album. I've waited long enough. I am a big fan of Julian's as well. The Strokes are one band that I will always follow no matter what anyone else thinks. That said, I still hope this album is both a commercial and critical success. It would be nice to experience the same excitement I felt during the "Is This It" era. If not, no big deal.

That video is intense. Especially the spot on his head after the burn. I think his addiction to prescription meds following this accident, and subsequent death, will cause major reform in the Rx industry. These MDs who act as facilitators must stop.

Velvet Revolver was always a train wreck, IMO. I don't know how I can love two bands, STP and GNR, however, dislike the combined efforts of the individual parts.

I want a new Strokes album. I don't care about percentage of contribution, and I certainly don't care about any solo projects.

Damn it, Julian. I don't care about your solo project. Get to work on finishing up the new Strokes album.
