  1. http://www.coldplay.com/newsdetail.php?id=850 This is priceless stuff.
  2. Good thing: Paradise Bad thing: We already heard most of the songs prior to the album's release
  3. I got it with the original cover facing outward, but I like the silver cover better. So now, that's my cover. :)
  4. Whoa... that's the biggest surprise of all these lyrics. I figured we'd find some changes to what we originally thought, but we were way off on this. Now that "LUMINOUS" on the graffiti wall makes sense! By the way... I just updated WikiColdplay with the official lyrics. :)
  5. Don't worry, Paradise... I've got your back! Looks like I'm the only one so far, though.
  6. Viva la Vida is more epic. In time, this may change... but I kind of doubt it. At least on a personal level, Viva la Vida means a lot to me.
  7. Bump... lest we forget. :) I'd ask for a sticky, but I don't think I'll get one. :P
  8. I never understood the hate for it... it's easily one of the most beautiful songs they've ever made. Your hate for U.F.O. saddens me, though... it's a nice little song. :(
  9. When was this used?
  10. ^ I did laugh at that comment, though.
  11. Definitely. However, I like Things I Don't Understand much more than Don't Let It Break Your Heart. Honestly, I'm completely not understanding everyone's obsession with this song. I'm very unimpressed by it... it's just a plain song to me. I guess I'm in a very small minority.
  12. I was going to do that, but I figured I'd just do the whole thing. It's hard to associate M.M.I.X. with Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall since we've gone five months without hearing it with M.M.I.X. Plus, if the band is willing to put them as separate tracks, then I'm willing to rank them all separately. The thread I saw ranked the tracks in categories, not as I've done here.
  13. 1) Paradise 2) Charlie Brown 3) Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall 4) Hurts Like Heaven 5) Princess of China 6) Us Against the World 7) Up with the Birds 8) Major Minus 9) U.F.O. 10) Mylo Xyloto 11) Up in Flames 12) Don't Let It Break Your Heart 13) A Hopeful Transmission 14) M.M.I.X. What say you?
  14. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UepT2qvjLVQ]2011 World Series Highlight Reel by Fox. Music By ColdPlay - YouTube[/ame] Aren't you lucky... I was going to record it, but I figured someone else would do it. I was right. :)
  15. For their closing montage to the World Series, they played Paradise in the background! I thought that was a nice surprise. :)
  16. Yeah, that is kind of lame... I'd rather be a comma, myself. That was the idea.
  17. Holy cow... I had no idea! Epic find!
  18. I mean honestly... that's the first thing me and Jonathan thought of when we heard it. Certainly you all agree? Not really a fan of it, by the way.
  19. First of all... it's great to be back! I stepped away from Coldplaying for a couple of weeks to avoid any spoilers since I knew a leak was inevitable. But now, I can tell my Mylo Xyloto release night story: The evening of the 23rd, my friend Jonathan (who loves Coldplay just as much as I do) drove over an hour to get up here, and we had planned to go to Wal-Mart (virtually right across the street) at midnight since it would be the only place to buy Mylo Xyloto that would be open when the calendar officially hit the 24th. When we got to the music department, the employees (including the manager) were not very friendly... and after like 20 minutes of talking to them, they wouldn't bother to go look in the back despite the fact that the CDs were obviously going to be there. So, not wanting to go to sleep MX-less, I suggested that we make a last-ditch effort to go to the next-nearest Wal-Mart about 10 minutes away. Nobody was in the music department except for this one stocker... and after being a little reluctant at first, he went in the back to look. Then he came back out... AND HAD A BUTTLOAD OF COPIES OF MYLO XYLOTO. There was certainly happiness all around, and I told that guy he is now a Wal-Mart legend. So we headed home all excited, ready to enjoy this masterpiece... and then got pulled over by a policeman very shortly after leaving Wal-Mart. Great... just great. But it turns out that it wasn't anything too serious... the expiration date on my mom's driver's license had passed (honestly, who remembers to pay attention to that stuff?), and the policeman said that if my mom got it renewed in the next couple of days then there shouldn't be any charges. Still, me and Jonathan were sitting in the car holding our copies of Mylo Xyloto while blue police lights are flashing behind us... and in view of everything that had transpired in the past hour, I said, "It's almost fitting... such a night like this deserves to be this epic." Then we finally went home and enjoyed the 44 minutes we've been waiting for ever since the Viva era ended. What a crazy night... I'll never forget it. Here's some pictures (and a video) from this memorable night: https://picasaweb.google.com/goheels88/MyloXylotoReleaseNight?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCPSEzMX5tOHBJQ&feat=directlink
  20. With my friend who is also a huge Coldplay fan, my girlfriend, and my mom. It shall be a massive party! And we'll listen to it in its entirety... duh.
  21. Already knew this... but thanks for your eagerness. :) EDIT: 200 posts... BAMBOOYOW!
