  1. ^^Yes! It could be and hopefully is super exciting and good. I'll go to sleep now, Jules. See you later! :)
  2. I've been considering to install myself in front of the Reichstag with a banner and plea as to fucking stop this kindergarten attitude of bashing EVERYTHING, just because... I'm just afraid I couldn't handle the media thing. Imagine me getting reduced to a dotty mascot. :/ Wanna join in, Julia? Because, if there were a couple of others with me, I'd do it!
  3. Oh ya, i forgot that the country might be plastered with thousands of windmills and overhead power cables. I would actually endorse that as an interim solution, and be it for some decades, also next to my village. I understand resentments though. I suppose that this bold/ maybe crazy decision will activate an ever speeding up dynamic towards sustainable engineering-art. Where is that mind, that will come up with a simple and utmost sensible way of producing energy? Chuck Kottke, would you have any ideas? :D
  4. Yes, that's what I find so intriguing about it too. I love the idea of not giving in on the same old killer arguments of the world's irresponsible old-school merchants any longer. I feel my english kinda sucks all the verfluchte time. :disappointed:
  5. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/30/germany-to-shut-nuclear-reactors Being me, I'm certainly positively excited about this. Do you think Germany will need to proceed to import atomic energy from abroad (it does at the moment), energy-prices wil rise enormously, coal-power-stations will have to be restarted (aka co2-emissions rise), Germany's industry and jobs will run down massively, atomic plants are the safest, cheapest and cleanest way of producing energy, there will be black-outs in peak hours and all of the winter seasons? :p I know all these arguments. They make my brain feel drowsy. I hope the decision to step out of nuclear energy will lead to a boost of green engineering, economic and ecological sustainability, more jobs and nothing less than a better world. Call me a retarded hippie, I'll love it. :wacky:

I think I had it on a tape somebody had made for me. I quite liked it, 'twas pretty accoustic, I think?
  12. Yeah right. I always wonder why I post here. It's a challenge to find arguments which would deffo make (what I consider to be terribly stuck) people start thinking. Futile, I know. Yet quite handy so to enter real life discussions about religion well prepared. ^ Could someone rewrite that last sentence in proper english, please?

  17. ^^ Exactly. Baggins, listen, please. Believe in God, if you so wish, and believe in a God who is exclusively christian, if you like and need that. What is more, believe in a God, though infinetly great and loving and wise, who still only understands little human souls who talk in christian prayers to him, and go to christian churches and sing christian songs. If you are not offended by that, Baggins, just go on believing. But understand, accept and tolerate, that this is your choice and other people may think that allahu is aqubar or jahwe is wonderful or just nothing at all but still are great, good people, which is the most important bit, non? Could you get your brain to work that out and stop being melodramatic and so worried. To use your slang: Since God has given you a brain, he want's you to use it, non? :wideeyed:

  19. Mine would have to be (I'm not sure how to put it in English) the evening song of a blackbird. And thunderstorms and the sound of rain when I'm underneath a roof. Hmm, and waves on a shore. And the voice of somebody I love.

  23. Oh drama, oooh la guerre. The very acid? Hm, apart from some crusades of his, that were far too much even for my shit humour, I quite miss Nathan's funky impact as someone, who'd polarise people and force them to reflect -if they had the capacity for that, that is- on their illogic mercilessly and all the fucking time. Not that he wasn't being illogic himself, but at least he seemed mostly aware and passionately loathed himself for that. Or so I sometimes thought. Feel free to vent whatever your impression of him was. I, as a proud member of the 'Massive Penis' elitists am certainly biased, but support all sorts of emotional release. :nice: Discuss, or let it be. The lounge needs some excitement though. =)
  24. Regarding the rest: I seriously don't know what to say to that ongoing senseless madness. And you're right, there are enough people who endorse such politics to make you and your pile of co-marchers feel very miserable. But it would still be the nicest thing to do. As we see from certain elements from this board ( and no, I'm NOT refering to Nathan), stupidity prevails, no matter how nice or logical or scurrilous and angered you'll try to reach them. That's so annoying. :bigcry:
