It’s a tricky mix, I know. I do wish Chris would stay put a little more….then he could sing properly and not be out of breath so much.

I went to their VLV show, and loved it. But does anyone think it's too stagey? It's a thought that's been at the back of my head for a while. It's almost like a pop concert with a huge production behind them - butterflies, lasers, balloons, giant video wall, stage a/b/c.... Chris even moves around the stage the same way for most of the shows. It's a great show and possibly the most fun I've had, but still....Would u prefer their 'older' type shows? Without the fluff, and just straightforward (soft) rock gig? Do the props distract from the music? I was comparing Coldplay's older live stuff & other bands and kinda think so.

…when u know u had the perfect weekend, after accidentally stumbling upon Coldplay: Live in London show on Fri night, the movie Once on Sat, and MTV World Stage with Coldplay on Sun night. And as I’m typing this, VLV comes on the radio. Bliss.

Not sure where to post this but.... OMG! People! Starworld is showing Coldplay: Live in London! (starhub channel 18). They just showed it just now at 10pm. It's a studio performance...I can't remember where it was recorded but I've seen it on youtube before. It's just great to see it on the big screen in good quality. It's only half hr, about 5 songs I think. LIJ, Lost, Fix u... I missed the first 10 mins....but they'll repeat at 7am tommorrow, Sat, 9 May. I'll be setting my alarm clock....

My only beef is that Chris sometimes screws up the singing or plays the wrong key, and then says oops that was a mistake and apologises. Sometimes I think it's just better to play on....cos most people won't be able to tell.

Can anyone help me out? It's been nagging me the past couple of days. I specifically remembered seeing Coldplay on Jay Leno but it was a studio performance. I can't remember the song (!) or the date it was performed. Was there any such appearance for their VLV album? What was their last performance prior to this outdoor one?
