QUESTION, as I was voting, I noticed scrolloing around this site a Chris Martin??? Is this a DJ or our Boy? Don't laugh, I didn't know, I would assume it's a DJ, but had to ask. I've been a busy boy recently, chatting to The Maccabees and announcing the NME Awards Shortlists last week and lining up an interview for this week with Japanese Voyeurs, probably the greatest pretenders to the Hole crown Britain has produced. But darker, if you can imagine that. I played a track on the show the other night which never fails to reduce me to a quivering ball of barely contained fury and excitement before detonating and sending me bouncing off the studio walls. It's possibly the greatest intro to any song ever. In fact I'll be bold and say it DEFINITELY is. Have a listen: It's the sheer apocalyptic lupine growl of those opening three chords that does it. It got me thinking, "Can this be beaten?", which was swiftly followed by "I know, I'll ask the good people of the blogs". Add your suggestions for Greatest Intro Ever below. Here's another of my faves, The Clash's 'The Guns Of Brixton'. Paul Simonon gets right in with one of the darkest yet most infectious bass lines ever. It's so simple but insanely effective. Eventually, after a bit of creative sampling from Norman Cook, it got to number 1. In fact any bass-led Clash song's pretty amazing, particularly 'Magnificent Seven'. My final choice for best intro would be the delicately haunting guitars at the start of this:

Well I am a Big LOst watcher, love the show, and reading this article, the guy had some good references to the album and the show, except the line.... And certainly “Violet Hill’”s lyric, “And a fog became God” presents us with as good a piece of imagery and explanation for the Smoke Monster as any Lost fan has offered thus far. And a Fog became God, I guess he didn't pay attention to the lyrics very well:rolleyes: There is a black fog in the show, but The Fox became God:dozey:

Yes the next phase, and it's a huge band ,of course they have instruments to replace, they probably already have them in the beehive working on the album. I have my fingers crossed, but not getting excited about it, until Coldplay themselves announce something. I think maybe when I spoke to Chris at the after party about The Tampa Fans being so disapointed and that I had to win a contest to come to London to see them he thought about it..... Yeah that's the ticket!!!!!:D

Not sure about English backyards, (gardens), but in the US people who have 2 story houses can see into others peoples backyards from the upstairs, maybe it's where the kids will play and they don't want anyone looking down into the garden?? Or maybe naked meditation is on the books:laugh3:

I am not sure where I read it this morning, but one article said Sammie lee Smith was from the UK, so why is he in LA? Maybe he lives there now? I think this is such a waste of our court systems here in the US, it's sad cause so many people are gonna believe it.:angry:
