Michael and I live in the same country, but we're still two time zones apart, and my conservative family gives us a few more hurdles to work out. We're trying not to worry about that right now, given we only got together yesterday, but it's something we're going to have to address eventually. You and Rebecka are much farther apart than we are, and yet you guys manage to make it work, and the patience on both of your parts is outstanding. Hmmm. Probably around kindergarten. Before that, from what my parents told me, I had some huge communication issues. I wouldn't talk to anyone. They had me go a full day in Pre-K instead of the typical half-day in an attempt to get me to be more social with people.

You shouldn't feel that way at all. I feel like this is part of what the Lounge has turned into. It's a place where we can talk about things like this and have it be completely OK. It's funny how it works that way, but it's true. I know you said it wasn't my fault, but I can't help but feel at least partially responsible. :\ You know, Anette, stuff like this in general is about trial and error. You try something, and sometimes it doesn't work. All you can do is keep trying different things until something works. You're still young, and you have plenty of time. (Ironically, this is what people were telling me a few weeks ago when I made that thread about how lonely I was. Funny how that works.)

Oh, goodness no, child. That's what usually happens to me when I say that I'm interested in a guy. It just so happens that this time, I got lucky. I didn't mean for my thread to make you feel bad, Anette. I'm really sorry. :sad:

He officially asked me a little over an hour ago, and I accepted. It's really weird how it all happened, but we're both very excited. I wasn't going to bother people here with this thing, but I'm extremely happy about it, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He's the one who made it Facebook official, after all. Even if he did mind, I'm pretty sure he would forgive me, because he's pretty much the sweetest guy in the world. :heart: So yeah. HOORAY.
