Yeah, I didn't like her cover. I felt liked all the soul from the original was sapped out and replaced with some uptempo beats. I was disappointed. Not that the disappointment is surprising, since AGT as a whole has gone downhill, anyway.

Older sisters can be pretty good at that. (Of course, as I'm an older sister, my opinion is somewhat biased. :tongue:)

Actually, you can put 1 and 5 together (fashion sense), 3 and 9 together (song titles), and 2, 4, and 7 together (stage presence). So really, you only have six reasons, and five out of the six aren't even relevant. ("8. She covered the band she was supporting." OK, what's your point? Why is that a bad thing? It's not like she's the only person in the world to do a Coldplay cover.) Really, you could've just said that all her songs sound the same and called it a day. I myself would've gone with the "I find her voice extremely annoying" bit, but I would've just put that in the Robyn thread in the WoM and not bothered to create a whole new thread bashing an artist.

Yeah, I was along those same lines as well, I think. My college stuff really took away from my posting this past year, though. I think my daily post count now is like 14 or something.

Very nice! :awesome: I've only heard "Jupiters" and "Ocoras" myself. They sound pretty sweet, too. I'd be perfectly fine if all eight tracks were like that.

Since nobody has brought it up yet, I suppose I should mention that he has a new album coming out next month. It's gonna be called "The Midsummer Station." I believe Bloc Party's new album comes out that same day. WHOOP.

Actually, the E-flat minor doesn't kick in until after the song starts on B-flat, goes into E-flat major, and goes back between those two keys again. Also, after USoE starts on E-flat, it goes into an Fm7, then E-flat, then A-flat minor (which makes more sense than saying it's in G-sharp because E-flat doesn't have any sharps in its key. Yeah, they're enharmonic, but I'm choosing to be pedantic right now.). At any rate, even if you WERE right, it takes more than two chords to make a chord progression. (You can make a cadence with two chords, yes, but not a progression.) Oh, and about that other stuff. Just because you have the same chord progression going on in two songs (OMG, because that NEVER happens. /sarcasm), that doesn't mean one's trying to imitate the other. Yeah, there's the same foundation, but it's not the same song. Matt's vocal melody isn't in Chopin's work, y'know. Neither are the string bits or anything else they added to it. They might have used the chord progression, but they didn't use the melody, so it can't be called an "update," or whatever the hell it is you're calling it.

WTF? No it's not. The only Chopin bit in there is "Collateral Damage," which of course makes sense because "Collateral Damage" is just a Chopin nocturne with a backing string arrangement and some background noise. USoE being in the same key as CD doesn't make it an extended version of the Chopin nocturne. Also, you need to learn the definition of chord progression; this is the second time now that you've used it incorrectly.

I think there's one of those months every year, although it's not necessarily the same month. Last year, I remember having a substantial list for March.

Excuse you. The music they used for the coda is part of public domain. They can use it if they want. At any rate, they only used a portion of the piece, and they added a thing or two to it. It's not a complete ripoff. That's like saying hip-hop artists who use samples are ripping off the people who originally wrote their samples. It's ridiculous.

"Ladykiller" bores me. I doubt I'll play it that much (if at all). If all else fails, just skip it. You'll have to endure "Fortune Teller," but then you'll get to "Sad," which is the best song on the album, IMO. As to your album question, I don't see the point in getting either album. They released it as a standalone single, and since they only have the song on certain editions of the album, I'm assuming they want it kept that way. Personally, I feel like it'd fit better on "Overexposed," just because the track was sort of a precursor to the style that we got with that album.

It's part of an all-inclusive collection of all the Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I'm going to pick up tonight at "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches," the last story in the first collection of short stories.
