  1. Haha, I completely missed this the first time I read that post :laugh3: I always drink water when they pass it around! It makes you feel so much better after the end, especially after a high-energy gig like Muse. Haha yeah I'm about 5'2... I've never been carried forwards before though :surprised: Once a guy let me go in front of him which meant I got barrier (he was a little intoxicated at the time)
  2. We have a fake tree because it's too hot here to grow real pines :disappointed:
  3. I've only listened to it once... didn't really grab my attention.
  4. I agree with all of this!! I've only ever actually left a mosh once, but even then while I was in it all the guys around me kept checking that I was OK and didn't want to leave, which I really appreciated. It's for this very reason that I usually go for barrier when I go to concerts, because otherwise I can't see and am stuck staring at people's sweaty backs, plus I'm to small to keep my spot and end up getting pushed around all over the place, neither of which I find particularly enjoyable :P As for crowd surfing, I think it's stupid. If you do it here you're likely to get kicked out, and for good reason I say... once I was at a show, front row and centre, and the security guards pulled this crowd surfer out over the top of me and he landed on me and I hit my head on the barrier... that wasn't nice :\. Finally, an advantage of being short - people can see over me! At the Muse show I went to on Sunday night, I was on barrier but I had this (rather large) girl behind me and she was trying to push in beside me, and when she figured out I wasn't going to let her in (I would've been pushed back) she just leant against me so I could barely breathe. I ended up with a bruise on my chest because of it. But of course, you can't really go into a mosh pit and not expect things like that to happen, that's really just the nature of the beast.
  5. Well I kinda learned it yesterday, but I learned that U2 is so much better live than I had expected, and I'd expected them to be pretty good! :surprised:
  6. Hey everyone! It's been a loooong time since I've been in this thread, how is everyone? :awesome: Haha, I used to be quite a big fan of Mika's :P
  7. That can't be right. According to the site, the maximum concert capacity is 13,500 including the standing area...which means that 27000 tickets available would mean they were playing to a completely empty arena :P
  8. Haha no, not quite that crazy... I'm more likely to just lose the ability to speak properly
  9. ^ :freak: :freak: :freak: How on earth do you accidentally come across a hotel and just find out that Damon Albarn is staying there????? ...is that the Hilton? :sneaky: :P
  10. You will have such an amazing time, believe me!! And I agree, definitely one of if not the best band I've ever seen play live! I really want to see them again! :bomb: Oh and Lore: U2 + Muse = YOU HAVE TO GO :awesome:
  11. Glad you had a great time!! AHH YOU GOT SUNBURN AND CE??? :bomb: :bomb: I don't think you realise how jealous I am of you!! *ignores any talk about 2nd brisbane gig* Awww, that's a shame  But when you're as short as I am, if you don't get barrier or second row then you have no chance of even seeing the band, so it's well worth it for me! No worries :nice: Sorry they're not GREAT quality, but they'll do :P
  12. I went to see U2 last night, and WOW. I can't describe how amazing they were, I was completely blown away! It's well worth a two-year wait, believe me!! :awesome: I'll post up some pics when my internet starts speeding up a bit... :D
  13. I went to see U2 last night, and WOW. I can't describe how amazing they were, I was completely blown away! It's well worth a two-year wait, believe me!! :awesome: I'll post up some pics when my internet starts speeding up a bit... :D
  14. Day 10, another picture :awesome: Edit: OH AND conformation that the new album will be released on Christmas day... FREE!! :bomb:  http://www.nme.com/news/gorillaz/54191 :awesome:
  15. I know! :bomb: If only you could! Go win the lottery or something  Haha, advice... where do I go (I know you can't really answer that one)? What do I say? How do I not come across as a complete nervous wreck?
  16. The fact that I'm going to see U2 tonight :D
  17. Thanks :nice: Yeah I got barrier!! Totally worth the 8-hour wait... :uhoh:  Going to try and do the same thing when I go see U2 tonight, just got to wait for my bro to come home... Edit: I don't know if it because I haven't watched as many videos as I thought I had, but I've never heard Matt sing the second part of the intro to KoC like he did on Sunday night :wacky: 'twas SO amazing :D
  18. OK! So, my pictures are still uploading (they're taking FOREVER) but my videos are up! Sound and picture quality can be a bit dodgy on both, but they're not too bad. Please excuse the awful singing/screaming of my friends and myself... Im pretty sure in a couple of them you can hear my voice give way :embarrassed: (it's still recovering ) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKzLPWpqcq8]Intro + Uprising[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKfHu2ZMt0Q]Undisclosed Desires[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhSzBlbMUHg]House of the Rising Sun Riff + Time is Running Out[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0S1lHP89Wo]Plug in Baby[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggdQksckEq0]Exogenesis 1 + start of Stockholm Syndrome[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzV4hOgQz4Y]Man with Harmonica + Knights of Cydonia[/ame]
  19. ^ Oh my bad, I didn't realise some of us hadn't improved their taste in music since they were 9 years old... :P
  20. IKR! Ahh, the nostalgia :nice: ...and here I was thinking it was an Australian show :embarrassed: My memory clearly fails me
  21. ^^I've seen a few videos from that site and I agree, there are some great ones! So it seems that SUPER DECEMBER () is well and truly under way! U2 tonight for me, and I've been confirmed to be working at Jack Jonhson (who played last night in Melbourne, I believe) on Monday night, Muse are playing their first night in Sydney tonight, and Gorillaz kicked off the Aussie leg of their tour on Monday night. Whew! :awesome:
  22. TONIGHT!!!
  23. ^ HAVE FUN!!!! :awesome: You will have a blast!! :D Art Attack!! Man I used to love that show
  24. Seconded, GOOD LUCK LORE!! :awesome: Haha, those Christmas baubles do look a tad expensive lol. I kinda want to get the coasters, they'd sold out of them after my gig :disappointed:
  25. I also really like it, and your voice is great! Now I really want to hear what you 'normally' sing like  SCAVENGER HUNT! :awesome: They just keep bringing out the goodies don't they? :laugh3:
