  1. as i've said on Twitter to Aurelie & Virginie, can you imagine Gary's "inner dance monkey" moves on a VLV-style iTunes ad? :wink3: if any of you are wondering, this thought was inspired by the amount of Apple products in that main image...i spotted 2 Macbook Pros, 2 iPhones, 1 iPad in there + i'm fairly sure that computer behind Jacknife Lee is running a Mac OSX :P & while we're at it, can i have that pair of AKG headphones you're holding, Gary? i promise i'll take gooooooood care of it! :D btw, any of you got an email from SP (or Universal Music, rather) to do a survey about your online habits?
  2. ^^ THIS!!! especially the one where she pretty much hogged all the appointments for herself & made a point of emphasising how they're all hers cos she set them up...blahblahblah wotta team player! i don't think she'll win tho...she'd be a threat/liability to Lord Sugar as a business partner going by her self-centred behaviour so far. & he seems to have noticed how she goes about doing her "market research".
  3. they're streaming almost all the acts for the iTunes Festival live, with the exception of Bruno Mars, Chase & Status. but it's only viewable on iTunes (PC/Mac) or the iTunes Festival app on iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch....it's the iTunes Festival, after all. :P watched the live stream for Linkin Park last night via iTunes on my Macbook...was impressed with the audio & video quality. occasional lags, freezing but otherwise it was simply awesome! :D
  4. & not just any strings! the same guys who worked with The National for High Violet! :D
  5. my videos...from last night... :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0MU1v3vDYc]Biffy Clyro - Little Soldiers (acoustic) -- London, 30 June 2011 [/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCPE5bkLfiA]Biffy Clyro - Hope For An Angel (acoustic)[/ame] there's another one that's 19mins long, but it alternates between blackness/darkness & the lads...need to figure out how to either edit it or extract just the audio from it.
  6. my tinset FINALLY arrived the night before the London event! & luckily for me, the UPS guy had left it with my neighbour...who was in when i came home! *phew* 1st thought upon unboxing: bloody hell! that's A LOT of confetti! 2nd thought (after rustling around the confetti in the tin & getting confetti all over my floor): ARGH!!! i have a piece of Simon's Strat!!! *spazz* [ NOTE: this is solely based on 2 small chunks of wood, the bigger having a red front surface...the smaller is a black chunk. i.e. i *may* be wrong. :P ] now...the London event! sorting thru the photos. have 2 videos...in an attempt to try & at least record the audio with some glimpses of the guys in between. + Hope For An Angel...played ACOUSTICALLY!!! *major spazz attack* ...totally unplanned for by the lads & all thanks to that legend of a guy who asked during the Q&A if they could possibly play it for his bro who was with him & has been a fan of theirs for 11 odd years & first saw them playing to crowds of 50 (i think...he could've been saying 15 tho) or so only. what an incredibly rare treat! :D the setlist: Little soldiers Questions Loneliness Breather A Whole Child Ago { Q&A Session } Hope For An Angel :wacky: :wacky: :wacky: & them ginger twins! i swear it's death by twinnage! XD was at 3rd row on James' side (once again! & unintentionally once again!) at some point during the Q&A Ben somehow noticed me pointing my camera towards them snapping away. he seemed to point right at me & my camera & smiled. :wacky: James turned his head & also looked right at me & gave a big smile :wacky: .........................& i totally fudged up both attempts to photograph them! oh! & Ben has a lovely voice. he sang a wee bit of Lionel Richie's 'Hello' on his own when they were asked what song would they have liked to be their entrance/intro song, if given a choice. that got everyone laughing. especially following right after Simon's answer, which was some hardcore rock/metal sounding song, that i didn't quite catch the name of. *lol* :laugh3:
  7. i have a feeling it's gonna be High Violet-y / The National-y...which'll be interesting to see how SP pull it off. as long as the whole album doesn't sound *too* similar...but then, they've got songs with gospel choirs in them. that's different already. :) soon...excited for the album's release! *rubs hands in evilish glee*
  8. if that was the intentional U2 tribute in return, then it's not the most immediately obvious one... :dozey:
  9. eh! mine's still not here......... :(
  10. yeah. mine was like a mix of ppl whinging away about how overrated U2 are or how shite Bono is in between banter about how great the songs are & excitement when a song's played. tho having seen their post gig interview (& i admittedly have hardly ever really seen any of U2's interviews over the year...i just focus on their songs & videos of their gigs), i guess i can see why ppl'd, particularly the "youngsters" going by my twitter feed, hate them & Bono especially with his ego + preachiness. & even Larry was a bit preachy, talking about "pointers" & the saying "the audience being too far away" (this coming from the drummer!). :dozey: ^^ this! i was thinking that if that's what they want to protest about, then why didn't/haven't they said anything about ppl like them too rather than just squarely targetting U2? i vaguely recall reading interviews with British F1 drivers who say they choose to live in Switzerland because of the taxes. as a side note, i realised they didn't play that new song that's called Glastonbury last night...
  11. ugh! that's just plain confusing then! so she was just joking to go along with the crowd/team sentiment on the show?
  12. neither is Jo Whiley, from what i recall. she's mentioned on Never Mind The Buzzcocks that she can't stand Coldplay. but i guess she had to compensate for Zane's lack of enthusiasm. heh :P
  13. yes! totally unexpected, for me... i was like :stunned: ...followed by a "SQUEEE!!!"
  14. OMG!!! YELLOW!!! XD
  15. With or Without You kicks off the encore!
  16. BAD!!!!!!!!!!! SQUUUEEEEEEEEE!!! :wacky: :wacky: :wacky:
  17. good gawd, all this swapping around channels is doing my head in...& that seriously made it feel kinda anticlimactic to suddenly cut off like that after a song. :dozey:
  18. darn...off by 2 tracks, TwistedPolitik!
  19. probably the mud...i noticed the crowd didn't really jump around for the earlier acts either.
  20. *lol* Adam's really busting out his moves in his corner for Get On Your Boots :D
  21. Elevation...my 1st single. still have it! :)
  22. doing the old ISS live message/greeting for Beautiful Day lead in... :D
  23. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!! I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For!!!! :wacky: :wacky: :wacky:
