you should. or at least get your S'pore driving license before you go over for your studies. you can then get a Brit driving license that's valid til you're 70. :wink3:

Best Song to Listen to On a Rainy Day?
to re-state the blatantly obvious choice for the umpteenth time : RAINY DAY yes, it's a very upbeat Katamari-ish song for an actual rainy day. but i love rainy days. so there. :p

Does Coldplay allow for Bootlegs?
different artistes tend to have different views on things like bootlegs, really...depends on whether they openly make it known. tho i find that it's the newer/younger generation & tech savvy artistes who tend to openly support/encourage these sort of things. unlike the Metallica bunch... :p

The 2012 Motor Racing Thread (F1 & More)
wooo....right on there. Button + Brawn GP look unstoppable right now. but what's this stir about Ferrari (& possibly Toyota too) quitting F1 next year? i only heard the bit about Ferrari quitting...details! it's something about the rulings, i gather?

Chris Martin's Air Miles vs. Charity Work
heh...your avatar's very well suited to your post! :laugh3: & i'm with you & Jamesy there. if the OP's article is talking about shuttling between UK & US practically everytime in between gigs even if for just 1 day, then that's quite a stretch. i've flown between London (UK) & Miami (US) once before & that is not a flight anyone'd want to be doing on a daily/regular basis in this post-Concorde era. you'll just be wearing yourself thin, what with the jet lag & all.

Jonny's (& Chris') Guitars
"collect the guitars" as in just have a list of their guitars or really physically collect the guitars? cos that's gonna be one costly hobby there... :sweatdrop: you can have a lookie here http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/article/3071-the-sound-of-coldplay.html tho it's mostly about Jonny's gear. haven't really seen much around written about Chris' gear really. good luck in your search! :)

The Hugh Laurie (Greg House) Aprecciation Thread!
hell yeah! cos nobody can do diagnostic medicine (or whatever his branch/specialisation is called) like Gregory House! & conversely, methinks, nobody can play Gregory House like Hugh Laurie! :D

19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
yeah, that's why i added that it's not very likely to happen. same goes for Snow Patrol, cos i think they're supporting U2 that period. :disappointed: maybe i should try writing up a list of bands that i wanna see support Coldplay in Wembley, toss them in 1 of my caps & see what comes up. :P oh, & this is for [email protected]. : CONGRATS!!! Coldplaying karma at work, indeed...as Min's said. :D

What do you wear to a Coldplay Concert - Girly question I know
there's 2 designs for the tour t-shirts. 1 is the Viva La Vida album cover painting & another with a print of the band in Viva-themed clothing. both with the tour cities behind. then there's a red '42' t-shirt with a paint splatter type of design, but i think that was more of a girls' cutting t-shirt. that's all i can remember off the top of my head. can't remember there being any other t-shirt designs...

[6th May 2009] Will Champion interview: "Only our successful songs are linked to plagiarism" (update
meh. it's just got to (always) be the popular/famous/Grammy-winning/Grammy-nominated one that gets picked on. poor guys. :\

Chris Martin's Air Miles vs. Charity Work
seemed like Coldplay do have a private jet from the video footage in the 60 Minutes interview. tho i don't recall them specifically saying it was Chris Martin's private jet. well, in all fairness, it looked like a small commercial plane really...not one of those fancy schmancy jets. there were the band + other ppl onboard the plane, tho it was like pretty much 1 person : 2 seats (the plane only had 2 rows of 2 chairs each with 1 aisle in between, not very 1st/business class looking if it was a commercial flight).

Coldplaying. com Wembley T-Shirt Design! WINNER IS NUMBER 4!
we should just keep it frozen at 42 votes for #4...just for posterity's sake! :D

Name for my band?
actually, in reference to the interview quoted in your siggy, methinks "Liquid Amber" has a nice & cool ring to it as a band name...heh

Hello Malaysia!
couldn't go for the launch too, Pai. i'm still in Singapore right now. tho that shall be remedied by a visit to the Krispy Kreme shop once i'm back this month end-ish. :D

Chris Martin's Air Miles vs. Charity Work
i'm not sure how the logistics arrangements of a music band for overseas concerts go, but i would imagine that it may be more cost effective to use a private jet/plane than booking up seats & cargo space on a commercial flight just to get the band + roadies + equiment (technical + instruments) all around the world? not to mention that some of their concert dates are pretty tight. i was recently looking up airline policies on bringing musical instruments onboard a flight & unless you're checking in your instrument (chance of mishandling/loss), some expect you to buy another ticket just to get an extra seat for the instrument. & he's married to an American actress who works primarily in the US/Hollywood...he's bound to rack up air miles one way or another when going over to visit the wife.

19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
SQUEEE-ness!!! another month closer... is it a bit mental that i've kinda taken to somehow hoping that they get another support act & it'll come down to either Snow Patrol or Kaiser Chiefs? cos realistically, i don't think this is remotely likely... *sigh*

Name for my band?
how about "Starfish"? ;)

How many offical cd's of Coldplay do you have?
hmmm...yeah, i guess the credit crunch kinda messes things up these days. but will definitely drop you a PM next time i'm eyeing any Coldplay goodies online. :)
