Sorry, but Coldplay is a band. And this band has a strongly planned show with several live effects includign laser shows. Its impossible to change the setlist completely. It was just a unrealistic wish, that they will play PoC and some other new song. Hey, they will release a new album! And of course they aren't there to fulfill our wishes, that they will play LP5 and LP6 during one night. Be realistic - it was clear, that if there are changes, then only 2-3 songs. CoL for example...

What do you mean?

The new VIVA LA VIDA
As I said, it depends if they decide to release the song as a single or not. My thoughts.

Arcade Fire
In my honest opinion, Arcade Fire is a very good band but I can't understand the hype around The Suburbs, because I enjoyed the first two albums much more than the actual. But thats a matter of taste...
-
The new VIVA LA VIDA
For me the song is much better then The Scientist which I love also. Its a great great song, but Us against the world touched me deeper than The Scientist (which touched me also very deep!) ;). Its my personal opinion about UatW.

Don't hope so, because LP5 should be a surprise... but thats my personal opinion. I don't like it to know 3-4 songs of a album with 10-12 songs.

The new VIVA LA VIDA
All these slow and emotional Coldplay songs of the last two albums like Reign of Love, Now my feet won't touch the ground, Prospekts March/Poppyfields, Til Kingdom Come... aren't really big, yes, thats true, but none of them are released as a single which is important to grow to a big hit. I'm sure if Us against the world would be released as a single it will be besides The Scientist one of Coldplays biggest "slow songs" and a huge number at live perfomances. Personally I hope that UatW will be released as a single but don't think that they will do that, because Hurts Like Heaven, Charlie Brown, Princess of China and maybe a unknown song will steal the show.:\

Now my feet won't touch the ground
Hmm...at the beginning there are some little similarities but Us against the World envolves clearly different to Now my feet won't touch the ground. Plus, the structure and the used instruments aren't the same. For me, Us against a World will be one of the best songs of LP5, a huge number. By now, I'm really satisfied with LP5 era because I have Moving to Mars, Major Minus, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, Charlie Brown and HURTS LIKE HEAVEN and I like at least every single song. But I really enjoy and love most of the songs.
-
Arcade Fire
No, this comment was about Hurts Like Heaven, which actually has a Arcade Fire Touch, but not about Charlie Brown.
-
Rate 'Major Minus' now!
I strongly disagree.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I'm still bewitched of UATW. :dazzled::dazzled::dazzled::dazzled:

What song(s) we've heard do you think will be put on the new album?
Thats my boy! :);):laugh3:

Great / epic song :D!?
Thats exactly what I said. I don't want to say: Hey guys, listen to me: UATW is better than The Scientist. I just said that UATW is for me the better song because it touched my soul a bit deeper than The Scientist (which is a great song and touches my soul every time again).
-
What song(s) we've heard do you think will be put on the new album?
Maybe as a kind of hidden song? This is the only thing I missed in Viva - such a lovely, deeply emotional, stripped down song. Reign of love is very good, but I expect something different.
-
Great / epic song :D!?
Yeah, I really accept your opinion, the taste is different, but for me the Scientist is more predictable and more simple in the whole arrangement. The Lyrics are a way better, I rarely see better Lyrics then in Us against the world. Don't get me wrong. The Scientist is a great great song, I will never say something against it, but for me, Us against the world touched my soul a bit stronger. @The Champion Nice to see that I'm not emotional "disabled" ;) - and that there are some other guys who think the same way.

What song(s) we've heard do you think will be put on the new album?
No, no, no, no, no, no my dear coldplayingfromkansas, There is no chance for Us against the world that it will be just released as B-Side! No way! Anyway, I will force them to put it on LP5 or I just add it on LP5. I will find a way, that this song will be on LP5! I promise it! ;) On LP5: PoC, CB, HLH, UatW

Great / epic song :D!?
Sorry guys but I have to tell you a long story about my experience: Last night I was in such a romantic mood that I decided to hear Us against the World right after The Scientist (Live at Glastonbury) to end my day. I didn't hear Us against the World because I wanted to safe some songs for October... but as I said, yesterday I wanted to hear the song. So, back to last night. While I lied in my bed, every light was out, just me and my bed and my mp3-player. I selected the Live @ Oxegen ordner and pushed the play button of Us against the world. After the second line I was sure that this song will be great and it created such a warm feeling inside, can't describe it, but I simply was happy, because this was a proof that there is another new song which I will really love. Then the songs goes on, the little refrain "Through chaos..................................... its us against the world......" blow me away. Then this little pause and Will comes in...just wonderful. At this point I noticed that I get teary-eyed... Will have such a lovely voice and in combination with Chris its amazing! Then this great part "And If we could float away, fly up to the surface and just start again" and I have to say: at this point I cried and cried and cried... the tears just came streaming down my face. Also when Guy follows them - his bass is so breathtaking and I love that little instrumental part so much...and the tears came down my face again... and then: this lovely ending of the song.... oh my god, maybe you can't believe it (I still can't believe it) but I had to cry 15 minutes long after the first listening to Us against the world! Really, I don't know why. The song is simply mind-blowing! In fact, I cried also because I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the new song and this made me really happy but on the other side this song is so deeply emtional and it deeply touched my soul in a very special way. From this point, for me this song is better and more emotional than The Scientist (which I love without reserve) and I swear you: If Us against the world is just a B-Side or not on the LP I will find a way to make Coldplay cry. I swear it! I want Us against the World as a single, it would be interesting how the audience react on this song but I hope it will be a constant in the setlists of Coldplay! Now I finish my little story, it was a very emotional night for me. ;) Sorry for all my grammar mistakes. :P EDIT: I forget to mention that UatW is another great song of the new songes which prooves that LP5 is going to be perfect. I'm really sure that this song will be one of Coldplays best and biggest numbers.

[10-July-2011] Coldplay @ Oxegen festival, Ireland
Really, the mp3 songs of the gig are absolutely brillant. Ok, at Glasto I heard the crowd louder but this is possibly a problem of recording. But the sound mix is incredible good, never heard such great versions of Major Minus, Lost, ENL (except 2003), Viva la Vida, Charlie Brown. Stunning!
