Do you really consider CB as "pop song"? For me, the structure and arragement is too difficult for a pop song (no real chorus, no really easy lyrics to cry out live...). It seems more like a "alternative rock song" in my honest opinion.

ETIAW is for me LiT2 - the lead single of the EP, the only single with a video. Don't believe that they would include the song on the new record in OCTOBER after they melt every dollar out of the song. ;)

For me, the structure of Yellow and CB are to different from each other to say that they are similar in a way and HLH has a strong Arcade Fire influence which I can't see in Life in Technicolor. Major Minus reminds me not in any way of Violett Hill. :P Really. But its hard to find any Coldplay song which goes the same direction... PoC is a song which I didn't hear until now, so, hard to say something about it, actually its a mix between Violett Hill, Lost and Viva for me.

Hahaha....so true! :laugh3: For me, I hope on the new record won't be a Viva la Vida in terms of structure. So I don't think we can say that CB will be another Viva because like other ones here said, its to difficult for a radio friendly song and actually it reminds me more of songs like Violett Hill then Viva. Viva is a great radio song but I hope that the new Coldplay album won't have such radio friendly songs. Btw, ETIAW seems to be the new Viva for me, althought the structure is also too complicated for a comparism with Viva la Vida...

I'm really sure that Major Minus, Hurts Like Heaven, Charlie Brown and Us against the world (and PoC) will be on LP5. Chris said some words at Glasto about the new songs just before the beginning of Major Minus ("One day these songs will be your favorites...") or about Us against the world: "This song will be really famous...maybe". So I guess that these songs will be on LP5, besides Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown which are just great songs which can't be B-Sides.

Firstly I felt the same but I noticed only 3 weeks later that this is a beautiful piece of music...

Yeah...I meant "overproduced" a bit sarcastic because it seems that every song which isn't played live and have a backing track is overproduced in the eyes of some users. I really like these detailed studio versions of the new Coldplay songs on Viva and LP5. And detailed is often called overproduced in my honest opinion.

Waaaaah...I hear ETIAW in German radio since last week... no Major Minus... :(

Just a great song...I enjoy every note of the song!

The problem is the high pressure to release the perfect album. So, as roadie said, after all the work for the new record is done there are some suprising but genius ideas of new songs and so on and they consequently change the setlist.... Hope we will have some clear and official statements about SOME things of the new record. Then I won't have a problem to wait until October but at the moment there is just speculatius and THIS is killing me!

Hurts Like Heaven is so great! Really...I really love all the new songs, I can't describe. Please don't call me a Fangirl or so but I honestly love all the new songs... some of them more, some of them less. Hurts Like Heaven is a favorit and I looking forward to hear the studio version with all the "overproduced" details... :)
