  1. I agree, Briggins. You speak the truth.
  2. Mhm. I believe it was for festivals only. But, I still like the song.
  3. You are a scholar and a gentleman. Thank you. Oh my God! They played Life is For Living?! Glorious!
  4. Can I claim "Princess of China"? :)
  5. I like the music a lot, but cannot make out most any lyrics. Side-note: remember the video CP posted to their Ping page with Chris and Guy playing a xylophone? Could that possibly be used in Princess of China?
  6. EVERY SONG THUS FAR IS BRILLIANT. Coldplay is back. :awesome:

Reminds me of Sgt. Pepper's for some reason. I like it!

    I absolutely love this song.

    Oh God. So beautiful.
  10. Can I have, "I have my records on." from ETIAW. That, and: - Chris' acoustic guitar for the new festivals - Jonny's new, red jacket in the photoshoot
  11. LP5 is shaping to be fantastic, and we've only heard three songs.
  12. Holy crap. Jonny really has come out of his cocoon. I'm beginning to believe LP5 will be quite rock-heavy, with Every Teardrop being the stand-alone song.
  13. From the few things I can hear from Hurts Like Heaven, I am really liking it. Sounds better than ETIAW.
  14. I suppose Jonny, as well as the rest of the band, was quite nervous. I know I would be.
  15. Of course the new sound is something that creates a diversity in the fanbase, but I still really like it. The behind-the-scenes work in this song is quite good - the acoustic and electric guitars, primarily - and even though the lyrics aren't necessarily the best, the build-up makes up for it. 7.5/10
  16. I don't think a lot of people realize that bands who stay with the same sound for their entire lifespan will eventually lose two things: interest by the fans and a sense of their musical talent. Evolution in music is a must have, and as fantastic as Coldplay has been with their previous releases, the band needs to continue on with another sound that will further develop who they are as a whole.
  17. I believe this is the song Chris mentioned in an interview 'bout a song with two chords. (Can anyone direct me to that specific interview?) I believe it is Dsus2, like Dan said. Dsus2 and A.
  18. It was a user here on Coldplaying. I meant to reply, but I don't have the slightest idea who it was or what thread it was in.
  19. I remember reading a post about slower material on LP5, and just from their track record, I don't carry a doubt we'll have plenty of it. Coldplay won't let us down.
