Chris sang VLV like that quite often, even during the VLV tour. To me, it sounds like he's going up one note on those words ("eyes" . . . "dice", etc.) instead of a note down (like in the studio version). Or something like that. You're right, though. His voice does sound a little off-tune and pretty strained. Or maybe it's just the YouTube video? But even in some professionally-shot videos from back in 2009, Chris' vocal performance on VLV sounds pretty off-tune to me. :\ For now, I guess he's just nervous singing in front of people again since it's been a while since the end of the last tour.
