Hey all I was putting together another version of the Viva La Vida tracklist (including a couple songs from Prospekt's March and "School"). I'm wanting to put the artwork from that "Viva La Vida Sketchbook" discovered a while ago (who uploaded it escapes my mind but thanks to him/her!). There are so many of the songs which have amazing artwork, so what I'll do is, I'll post the tracklist, and the possible names and whatever sounds best I'd love to be recommended! 1. Life In Technicolor 2. Cemeteries Of London 3. Glass Of Water 4. 42 5. Violet Hill 6. Yes 7. Reign Of Love 8. Lovers In Japan (the acoustic version) 9. Viva La Vida 10. Lost! 11. Strawberry Swing 12. Rainy Day / School 13. Life In Technicolor ii 14. Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground 15. The Escapist Here are the possible names... Viva La Vida Lovers In Japan 42 Lost! Famous Old Painters (regardless of the fact it's not even in the tracklist, there's still a painting of it!).

Honestly, I think if Hurts Like Heaven is going to be on the album, "MX" will be part of it, and merge straight into it like it does live, as in not a separate track or hidden track, just as the same song, that's what I think but I could be wrong...well it's what I hope.

Just get absorbed in the music you're playing but don't forget there's people in front of you. What I do for comfort on stage, is think about the number of people there, weirdly the more people the better for me, it's an odd feeling. Give it a try, just think to yourself "there's quite a lot of people watching me...this is great!" And no, I'm no egotist anxious to be the centre of attention, I just like people watching me, but I would never push it, (y'know saying something like "hey look at me!"). Essentially what I'm trying to say is enjoy the attention because it doesn't last, but don't let your ego get the best of you, because then you can become somebody who's so far up his own arse that he doesn't know whether to speak or fart. But don't do just coldplay covers, unless it's a coldplay night, you should do something else as well, like The Beatles or Simon and Garfunkel, something like that that people want to hear (as well as coldplay OF COURSE). Hope I helped out a little bit.

Maybe it just so happens that it was Viva La Vida which was missed out? It could have been Lost! or Glass Of Water for all we know. And to the idea they were saving it for later, I remember reading that it has been through several incarnations before they settled on the final result, and during the time Prospekt was posting to the website, it was way more than a year before the release so there's lots of room for change. We could have been listening to the future "hit" of the album from their Glastonbury or Rock Im Park set, it could be Princess of China, Hurts Like Heaven or Charlie Brown, but I doubt it was Us Against The World...I'm not really feeling it with that one :L

Don't Panic beats all of their newer songs hands down. Not that they're bad, just that Don't Panic's better, I think. Honestly, I'd be happy to see them just perform Don't Panic because it's just brilliant!

How about the songs not being "the new" anything? Maybe we should just see the new ones as something completely different and not to compare them with previous efforts, after all isn't that what Coldplay want to do? Move on from previous styles and feels of songs? Maybe it's just me but I don't like thinking of the newer songs as "the new" anything, be it Viva La Vida, The Scientist or No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground for all I know. Just saying...

No way, it's a close run between Politik, yellow and Amsterdam for me.

Oh and I've got a Berhinger mixer too!!! What are you using for your acoustic treatment?
