I mean , she has a movie out .. She has to promote it ... Specially If its something as big as the Grammys/Oscars .. I doubt she dosnt wanna do the oscars , i bet she must feel quite proud to be up in that stage , and you never know how many chances will you have in your lifetime to be singing in that stage .. Tbh , i feel it would be really stupid of her to say " Oh im not performing at the Oscars , im overexposing myself" .. Its not like she does it all the time , and when you sign up for a movie , you also have promotional duties to promote the song/movie everywhere , its her work .. Then again , we will not see her until she releases another movie ..

Yup .. Plus , believe it or not , Beeing on an Arena/theatre/stadium , Singers tend to feel more comfortable. Specially because everybody there is their fans and they just feel more comfortable .. Doing a TV show always puts them more nervous . You are not only performing for the people in the recording studio , but also to million of people who are watching live + youtube viewers etc .. Every mistake that you make , could be your biggest mistake :p ;)

Well it depends. Generally of someone dosnt like the music I listen to and it's only that , I'm okey. I mean people have different tastes , just deal with it. Not everybody likes the same If someone talks like my music is shit or inferior to them or talks badly about it , prepare yourself cause in ready to drag you and snatch ya wig :cool: . I mean , they should cause everybody is watching , but you can not put that weight and pressure on someone's shoulders .. I mean , its their life , and they have the right to live it ( the same as you ) without beeing judged. Primary education and values should be taught in School and your houses and shouldnt go down from there but thats my opinion . Although yes , they have an incredible ammount of influence Maybe its the way I see it , but gaga has done lots of things . She embraces her fans and people who follow her , to be who they really are , to not stick to the "norm" and not follow what society does or is .. just be youself and be happy ,and dont let anybody discurage you .. you can achive everything. Thats the message people/ fans see when they see gaga , maybe you dont get it , but its quite a fair message to give. She has been influencing a lot of people to become more like this , specially gay people and outsiders ( diferent/rare people ) to feel better. She has done some incredibly work done in the US with polices against Gays and others , which its quite considerable. Anyway , i dont know how we got to here , but the fact that you dont like gaga's music , or other generes apart from Alternative/ rock , like for example pop , does not mean that everything they do is shit and have to trash them and talk to them like they were inferior :) . that's all , show some respect and be more open minded :P

umm yes ! Though the dream's productions in songs is always the same. Im kinda over the recicled beats + finger snaps on songs . They need to spice it up The Dream / Tricky bascially write and produce every hot R&B artist . Basically everything that tops the charts now a days :lol: I like their songs.. But , The dream has been making albums like since 06/07 , he has like 4 or 3 albums ... I know that he had one Love Vs Money ( the one i have ) and its really critically aclaimed

yup ,its true .. Gaga writes , produces , sings , and co-directs her music videos. And btw , its one of the few artist ( i would dare to say the only one now ) how can sell both Singles and Albums... Not only her first album has sold over 15 million copies worldwide ( which is completely amazing ) but has had a little more than 2 hit singes ;)

Ya , that's what i say that i find it hilarious that coldplay continue to sell albums instead of singles . Its kinda sad that singles are so low tbh . People buy only singles , and you see artsits like rihanna who sold over 70million records , and those are 50 singles and 20 albums :confused: Plus the fact that the singles only cost 1 dollar makes it more afordable , makes that lots of records , previously held by the beatles for example , Elvis , and other artists are beeing broken because of that. So now , you see that Glee has more entries on the United World Chart and Billboard Hot 100 than The beatles , because of digital downloads. Or Ke$ha debuting at number one on charts , breaking records by michael jackson ( which back in the day to debut at number one was ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE , now its more common ) and things of that order :(

Sorry , its not like Rihanna is the greatest talent on earth. First , the last time i checked , out of her 5 cds , she has only written for 3 of them ( and only a few songs , like 2 per album ) so its not that she writes all of her stuff. In addition to that , all of her singles , have been written by someone else , and her 2 most succsesful albums to date ( LOUD and GGGB ) don't have ANY of her written songs. Yup , basically that . I think its mainly because people see rock artists as a whole artists , and they usually go to buy their "whole" piece of work (instead of buying just one single ) . So for this artists who only sell singles , it takes them a while to start selling albums . Example , again rihanna .. after 4 albums ( who had lots of succsessful singles ) she just started selling album with her leatest ( just because she builded a fan base after all of these ) . But again , almost all of pop acts fade away after a couple of albums Its also releated to the audience the band/artist is targeting. Older people buy albums , teenagers buy singles.

I know.. Actually i was saying it as an acomplishment. People don't see anymore artists as a whole , they just download the current single or whatever .. But beeing one of the few people who can actually sell albums in this digitalized-singles era its quite amazing. I hope they do that too :p . Though as long as they have a hit (a la viva la vida , speed of sound type of way ) they will be slayin the competition :cool:

Im referring to Records As ( singles + CDS ) and album sales as album sales only :p . I mean , of course its impressive to sell 50 million of both , or albums or singles or both . Its quite an impressibe achivement that is way to hard to surpass ( thought there are quite a few artists that have done that ) but what i was saying is that , now a days its easier to sell singles than albums . For example Rihanna. Rihanna has sold like 70 million records . 50 million of those are coming from single sales , and 20 million from albums . (rihanna has released 5 albums + re releases etc in her career ) i find it hilarious that coldplay are the ones who actually continue to amass album sales instead of single ones :p

ya + the fact that , usually when you buy a record , you are giving 80% of that money to the record label , and actually only about 20% ( if they have a very good deal) to the real artist . So there is no way the record label its going to give away that 80% away , and give all of the profits to the artists ( plus its not fair , they usually pay the producers , the making of the booklets cds , promotion ( they fix arrange dates) tour costs etc .. ) . There is no way that is happening , at least soon
