Sure they will. They will see a huge increase in sales WW after the grammy's performance. Specially in the US. And after the Brits ( In the UK too )

Umm.. It's true but , it wasn't really sucessful commercially in the States. And I doubt it has that much airplay. The song was really unsucessful in US radios although it does have amazing longevity on the Itunes store. Maybe in tripe A stations or Rock stations :rolleyes: . And btw , at this point , I think that making POC a top 10 hit on itunes ( even though it already is ) it's going to be easier. It can easily be Coldplay's second #1 on the Billboard Hot 100

I thought about it too .. or maybe just releasing POC in the United States and CB around Europe ?. Maybe they perform CB at the brits and stuff. Hope they go with POC first. I wanna see a vid of that :P

It's not that .. Certifications aren't based on the actual sales , they are based on the shippments of the CD. Mylo was certified platinum cause if it has sold 930k so far , it's clear that there are more than 60k MX copies in stores . The actual shippment must be like 1.2 Sometimes record labels think that the album will be huge and more successful and overship way too many copies. Let's say Britney's Spears Femme Fatale was certified platinum cause they shipped 1 million copies the first week. It still hasn't sold 800k

Bascially cause it hasn't been released as a single not to mention added to Radios. It actually has like 4 million impressions without even being a single and that's quite good. The song is catchy enough + has rihanna on it = smash

That sucks . Struggling to sell 200k in 7 days is a massive drop off for them. The lack of a hit has really cost them debut week. But then .. longevity is the key .. VLV was huge at the begining in the UK but dropped quite fast

I think the UK was actually quite turned off with Viva la vida .. They weren't the same Coldplay as they were used to hear and that hurted sales .. It's the lowest album there and the one that is far away from topping the 2 million mark. To be honest , I was really thinking that they would open HUGE . Specially since MX was released in the 4th quarter that is usually where albums sell more. Releasing POC ( that will help them LOTS .. Both in the US and the UK . Rihanna is completely huge there right now ) will keep the momentum going .. Specially with 4Q and christmas sales around the corner

They won't beat Adele's record. She dosn't have one for the first week actually. And Paradise will .. I think it's at #12th on the Midweek charts .. It won't. It's not likely that it will surpass gaga's sales ( 215k) so it should be arround that. 250k at best IMO AROBTTH is their top selling album in the US .. In the UK too . Although You might be talking about the first week sales .. But I think X&Y had such high week sales cause of : a) Speed of sound smashing all over B) AROBTTH created enormus hype for them LOL , they make certifications out of shippments .. and believe me , they have already shipped over 500k of mylo Xyloto to US retailers . I bet that is already eligible for Platinum status ... Umm .. They are still selling . Actually the market is Up from last year .Uk's market hasn't suffered such a big drop in album sales since 08 . The problem is that X&Y and Viva la vida , both had huge singles at the moment the album was released. Specially in the US both were big radio hits for them .. So it really helped. ETIAW did poorly and Paradise even worst. Radios are waiting for POC to be chosen as single and sales will start to pick off . AROBTH kept the momentum going with all the singles they had .. And it was a more constant seller than the frontloaded sales of VLV and X&Y . I bet MX will do the same .. Specially with POC And hopefully CB coming after

And you completely lost the point of mine :).The only reason why I got into AirPlay figures and sales was because You basically said that first singles did better than the 2nd , 3rd or 4th singles of an album, that it was obvious. Which its not true . Lots of times is the other way around ;) And maybe for you it's not refreshing , but turning the radio on and hearing blow by Kesha , E.T by katy perry , I wanna go by Britney and in the middle hearing someone like you is kinda refreshing for me :)

The point is that for me , even though I know that Adele hasnt done anything new or innovative , it's like fresh music . Why ? Because everyday I turn my radio and listen to Katy perrys 2 leatest singles , britneys leatest singles and rihannas. I'm not saying selling more it's better , I'm saying that for me is refreshing to hear adele's voice on the radio instead of the dr Luke productions of Kesha , Katy or Britney or the stargaze ones of rihanna. That was all :) Oh and by the way , I didn't even started this. I just posted saying how amazing her music is and some trolls came saying about how lady gaga is more talented ;)
