  2. Well I wonder which song they're going to play when we go. I hope it's something quiet and minor and peaceful and slow.

  6. Okay, I have a HORRIBLE habit of apologizing for myself all the time. And it's killing myself right now not that just start of with an "I'm sorry" for apologizing over my taste in music. But yeah... I think it's because music is such a person thing that I usually just put my taste down before anyone else can (which I guess is silly because I have plenty of people come to me for music recommendations just because I have such a broad taste). But, yeah! jazz! My father used to work at a jazz station for the radio and would play jazz all the time when I was little. I'll admit, I drifted more towards the classical and big band, but I grew up appreciating jazz. When I hated rock music as a whole and went through my "rap music' faze, I still love jazz. And it's such beautiful music that I'm disappointed not everyone listens to it and some people even cringe at the thought of listening to it. I'd also suggest starting with the Beck albums. I think I overestimate how talented Beck is, but I don't care. Because I think I'm always going to think that Beck is a musical genius no matter what. ahaha.
  7. Optimism. sq.
  8. ahaha. I'm spending my New Years with my friends family and I'm still getting drunk.
  9. I want to have lots of sex with you, but you've got a girlfriend. So please stop being one of the most amazing friends I could ask for and stop being so nice me, because it doesn't help the (one-sided) sexual-tension.

    cool thread.
  11. if everyone on here goes through with their resolutions, then there'd be more bands.... and less single people in the world. :disappointed:
  12. I'd own my own record label. What's the last movie you saw?
  13. ...I don't know. D: I've listened to Radiohead for about six year and I just never listened to Thom's solo stuff. Which now that I've ever it, I feel even worse because it's amazing and how have I been missing out on this?
  14. I liked him in Wilde and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (which, in both, he coincidentally plays spoiled brats), but otherwise I don't really have much of an opinion on him.

  20. No. Have you ever had any major surgery?
  21. At least you and the women and her baby are okay. :)
  22. Someone gave my a slinky for christmas. and my friend and I on Christmas eve.
  23. I haven't looked at the other replied, but I composed a little list. But. I don't know, I don't trust my taste in music and maybe a lot of these are outside your comfort zone or whatever. :( The ones with stars I highly recommend, though. Advances - Kinch Okay, so if you go to their site (http://www.kinchband.com/) you'll find out that they offer a lot of their music for free and I've seen them live a couple times and they're super nice. So I might be a little biased just because I like the whole concept of this band, but they are a fun Pop/Rock kinda band to listen to. Anything Else But The Truth - The Honorary Title The Big Machine - Emilie Simon Bitches Brew - Miles Davis* Just because this is one of my favorite albums in the entire history of music and even though I know people who know of Miles Davis, I don't think I know anyone who listens to him... let alone jazz as a whole. And I'm a bit of a music nerd sometimes and the whole idea of originating the concept of bringing the electric sounds of rock into Jazz is super exciting for me. Blackgrass - Jackdaw Jackdaw - Jackdaw This is more along the lines if you like Celtic rock. (Think along the lines of Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphey's) Bone Island - The Working Title* Bring Me The Workhorse - My Brightest Diamond Drunk Like Bible Times - Dear and the Headlights* Small Steps Heavy Hooves - Dear and the Headlights* Okay, again. I might be biased here because I'm a HUGE fan of this band and have been for years. I'm so proud of these guys and I love their music like woah. And I recommend these guys to everyone and a lot of people ended up really liking their music, but I don't know... Embryonic - The Flaming Lips Just because I heard that some people haven't listened to this album yet and I like so I think it's worth a listen. G. Love and Special Sauce - G. Love And Special Sauce* Guero - Beck* Modern Guilt - Beck Odelay - Beck* Horses - Patti Smith* Made Of Bricks - Kate Nash The Mulberry Street EP - Cold War Kids* Ode To Sunshine - Delta Spirit* Panic Prevention - Jamie T* Who Killed Amanda Palmer - Amanda Palmer This one is an iffy. I've come across a lot of people who like it and a lot of people who don't. So I think it's a hit or miss kind of thing. But Ben Folds produced this album after he had sent her a fan letter, praising her music. So that's kind cool. Oh! Also. If you look her up on Youtube, she made a music video for every song on the album and it kind of turns into a little movie of sorts. Yael Naim - Yael Naim*
