That 2-column layout is really a very bad choice.

I find that most of the time they look indeed like a mess and it only makes sense when you follow a blog and the reblogged pictures show up on your dashboard. Most of those blogs have the most awful layouts :shrug: I only use it to follow some people's art updates and some news.
