  1. Just watched the Chrismas Messages (I know, I know, I'm usually the first one to complain about Christmas starting WAY too early - I don't like listening to Christmas songs until at least December) but I just needed a good laugh And I realised that the 2006 one in particular is exactly why I love Coldplay, because they're so funny and good to their fans and they don't take themselves too seriously! :D
  2. The Goldrush - it's so cheerful and happy and :dazzled:
  3. Have I missed a lot? EDIT: Urgh, it's not working for me :O :( Anyone know how to fix it? I've got the webcams coming up but no sound!
  4. My green one started glowing this morning. Not flashing, just a glow that lasted for perhaps 4 hours? It's died now though :( I just felt ridiculously happy :D
  5. Phoebeo - my Xyloband lit up this morning as well! I don't know if you were at the Copenhagen concert (I see you're from Denmark)... I got my newest one (the one that was glowing) at the most recent Stockholm gig. Thinking maybe it could be a link between the European concerts? I'm convinced it was a sign - like, "come to all the Coldplay concerts ever, we'll pay for you"l!!! - and, like you, I was WAY too excited! :laugh3: It was honestly the highlight of my day!
  6. Speed of Sound (after the acoustic @ Stockholm) and still Strawberry Swing :D
  7. Thank you girls for the wonderful evening viewing :sneaky: :P My my, Mr Martin really does have the most beautiful face/body/everything! I adore that one where he's staring into your soul though... I die a little every time I see it! Also, I was rewatching the Paralympics and I'm not sure about anyone else, but I don't think I have ever loved Chris more than when he was sitting down and being indescribably cute during SS!
  8. dlfnhv[weobrhv THAT PICTURE :dead::freak::bomb: I would seriously break my pacifism if I ever met Rihanna... She is the luckiest girl in the world (aside from Gwyneth) to get to touch him like that and stare into his soul and touch his chest... I hate her. He's either Jonny's or mine. No sharing :P But Chris, on the other hand.... HNNNNG!!!! :sneaky::dead::sweatdrop::bomb: UNF he is so sexy it's ridiculous. What I would do to (rhymes with duck :laugh3:) him.... :bomb: How can someone go from being adorable child (Strawberry Swing) to insanely sexy sex GOD in a matter of minutes?! It beats me!
  9. When even watching a Coldplay concert (last night's Closing Ceremony) on TV feels like a spiritual experience. Volume up to 100, Xylobands on, lights off, jumping up and down like a mad person (and dancing like Chris!!!) singing at the top of your lungs, sobbing because it's so perfect... I am so in love with them :dazzled: And then I spent the whole of today babbling on to my best friend about it - fortunately she's a fan as well so she understood when I was squeeing over C sitting down for Strawberry Swing :laugh3:
  10. I didn't see nearly enough Buckin last night *sadface* :( There was LOADS of Berrytin, which I'm usually OK (read: happy :P) with, but I just wanted lots of Buckin-love last night *quibbles lips*
  11. 1. Not so much of a Coldplay thought, but a Chris thought: He has the most perfect lips ever - guuuhh ;) I know he's perfect in every other way, but especially his lips 2. They're the only band for which words really just can't describe how I feel about them. It's such a cliche, but they really do make me happier than words can describe: last night I felt like I was going to burst with the happiness. I just love them so much it's absolutely indescribable. 3. I hate it when people say Coldplay is 'music for people who don't like music'. I would consider myself someone who loves music - this is just a wide snapshot of the sounds I like: Classical; 20s jazz; 40s-50s swinging, lindy-hop, jitterbug; 60s soul/rock/folk/jazz; 80s alt-rock; 90s indie/alt-rock; 00s indie-folk/rock/pop; film/TV scores; world music... and I love Coldplay with all my heart and soul. So, if people who listen to Coldplay can't 'really like music', then I don't want to be someone who, according to idiots, likes music.
  12. Guys, while I think that saying Chris is a liar is a bit of an over-reaction (and to be fair, we all get a little over-excited sometimes!) I think that being quite so blunt about it is not the best option. Perhaps I live in a 'butterflies and fairies' happy world, but it would be nicer just to state your opinion in not quite such a combative way! I was at Stockholm and I can understand why the OP is upset that our version wasn't used (although I'm not personally) but I think there were probably various reasons that it wasn't used. If I were Coldplay (or anyone involved with decision making) I'd probably want it with 80,000 Xylobands as well. Smile everyone - be happy, not grumpy! :P
  13. Could it be anything other than Strawberry Swing after last night?! I adore that song so much.
  14. God, it's just been so perfect. They are the perfect band to close the Paralympics and they're just on top form tonight and Strawberry Swing made me bawl like a baby because it was so perfect. They have made this night incredible and I'm so proud of them. This is one of those nights where words alone cannot describe how much Coldplay mean to me, because to me they are like the fabric of life itself and they mean everything. Just so wow. Beautiful  :dazzled: *happy tears* Oh, and Strawberry Swing (and 42, but especially SS) NEEDS TO GET BACK ON THE SETLIST BECAUSE IT IS PERFECT.
  15. Sort of irrelevant but I was thinking, there should be a section called You Know You're Addicted To BUCKIN When... My moment of realisation (which actually comes many times a year!) happened tonight when I realised that on YouTube I have a playlist which is basically all of my favourite clips which have lots of Buckin and some fanvids as well :P There's nothing wrong with me...! (I will NEVER get over this one though: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-6kcw_kpB4]Coldplay - Lovers In Japan (Live @ The Bakery - Coldplayzone.it) - YouTube[/ame])
  16. As long as they release something that's true to themselves then I think I'll be happy. MX felt a little like they were pandering to the crowd, although on the tour they seem to be really enjoying themselves so I could be wrong and it could be just what they wanted to do. Also, I think MX does have some tracks that I loved such as Charlie Brown, HLH, ETIAW, DLIBYH and UWTB. I personally just adored Viva (tracks like LIJ, LIT and Violet Hill are some of my favourites) It's difficult because I love certain tracks off all the albums and they all have their own appeal for me. I just want them to make an album they're happy with, and although I hate having to wait for so long, if it means it's a good album then I suppose that's what matters most.
  17. I only got back from Stockholm last night (incredible city, loved it!) so I'm very late in my response, but the gig was PHENOMENAL :dazzled:! I had such a magical time, I was with the Oxfam volunteers so I thought we'd be right at the back of the stadium but venue staff let us go into the Golden Circle which was a wonderful start and very much appreciated - we weren't right at the front but we were quite close and that's always a lovely place to be! Energy of the crowd was sky-high and of the 3 concerts I've been to, I would seriously give Stockholm consideration as being my favourite! The show was, as per usual, just spectacular and the best thing was that the band seemed to be really enjoying themselves! Chris' singing was really excellent that night - I know he's usually very good but he surpassed himself! Loved the fact that they did Paradise twice as well - my favourite part of being at a live show is often the banter and Chris a) starting off SoS by singing Born This Way and b) being the adorable idiot that he is when explaining about Stand Up To Cancer half made my night! Got lots of videos (but all very shaky and blurry because I was jumping up and down so much so I won't post them!) and some photos, plus some confetti, so all in all a wonderful night. Am really enjoying looking through all the pictures - it's strange but I always end up crying with happiness after the gig when I really realise how fabulous it's been and that happened to me earlier :P EDIT: Oh, and I am also loving (on a completely non-shallow level, obviously!) the pictures of Chris all stripped off :wink3: :laugh3: And there's a picture of Guy (maybe just coming back from the C-stage?) which I love because he looks so happy! We need to see that lovely Guy-smile more often!
  18. Well, I'm in the airport now waiting for my flight to Stockholm... Getting so ridiculously excited for the concert tomorrow, it's unbelievable how much I can't wait for this!!! :D
  19. Well, I'm going to be volunteering so unfortunately I don't think I'll get a great place if I'm standing :( However, I'm just so thrilled to be seeing Coldplay that any place will be amazing! And I've been near the front before so I'm fine with it. Hope you are all getting as ridiculously excited as I am :D :dazzled:
  20. ^^ ASDFGHJKL; THAT PICTURE!!! Sooooo cute it's unreal! Chris looks so happy he might burst - I adore it when someone's eyes shine like that and you know they're indescribably happy! :nice::blush::dazzled:
  21. I didn't even look, it was on the first page! Sorry! Just to make it clear, I didn't bump it - I rarely stray off the first page! Second is probably my maximum :laugh3:
  22. Chris is cool in a sort of eccentric, quirky way, but in terms of the normal definition he's just more of a geek, I think! Guy is the coolest by a long stretch!
  23. I know they're kind of different sounds, but because I'm being biased I would LOVE for Mumford & Sons to support Coldplay!
  24. How about everyone from Coldplaying saves up, puts all the money together and WE collectively buy a house there?! Great idea, yes/yes? :laugh3:
  25. I was just watching the (live) video for Charlie Brown (another random thought: I far prefer the live video to the actual one) and although I am a Coldplayer because of the music first and foremost, sometimes I just like to look at Chris' face because it is so ridiculously gorgeous!!! I forget sometimes just how beautiful he is, both inside and out!
