:lol: I ONLY just discovered this thread... so I'm dragging it up again :D My love for Coldplay... well... where to begin? I've been a fan since about 4/5 years ago, but only a die-hard fan for about 1/2 years :D I wouldn't say I'm as obsessed as some people on this thread (you all know who you are :P) but even though I don't have thousands of posts on Coldplaying, or come on here every minute of my day, I would say my love for them is pretty deep :D I listen to them at least 3 times every day, have mini panics if I've not listened to them for more than a day (if that :laugh3: probably more like 5 hours) and my F&F (family and friends) have got to the point where they just ignore me if I even start to say anything CP-related :lol: I think about them most of the time and I'm beginning to worry that if it gets any more intense I will have no life other than Coldplay :D (saying that, it doesn't sound so bad... :P) So yeah, I'd say my love for them is pretty deep :D And it was at its absolute highest when I saw them live in Glasgow - that was the most incredible experience and night of my life EVER :D Sorry for bringing all this back up again :laugh3: EDIT: Oh, and it's not just the music (although that is my main reason, obviously, for loving them) I've got a little stalker-ish :laugh3: and I support everything they do, their political and social views... just everything really. And Berry/Chrissy-girl-ness is another story :lol: Saying this though, I do listen to other music and think about other stuff... just not a lot :D

I don't get why everyone seems to hate Viva so much :confused: I wouldn't say there were more overlapping sounds than there were in X & Y... But that's just my opinion. I personally loved Viva and thought it was one of their best albums (however, I love all their albums and don't really have a favourite.) I wouldn't mind if LP5 was like a previous album, but I do think that for a band to improve they can't keep repeating old sounds and copying old material. It can sound like their old music in some aspects but if they even put a fresher touch on some things it can make a world of difference... That said, I REALLY REALLY hope that LP5 will be out by Christmas, that would make 2010 a very good year for me :D

Sorry if I'm being really, really stupid and somewhat ignorant, but I just started coming onto the Lounge more as I discovered there were other threads than the one solely dedicated to Coldplay (:P) and found that Ian is thinking of shutting the forum down? I know I've not even been a member of Coldplaying for long and have only had 100-and-something posts (tiny amount compared to you die-hard-Coldplayers :() but I just wondered if someone could by any chance explain to me what happened to make the situation so incredible dire? There seems to be a lot of talk about animosity and all that, but if someone could, you know, explain it in words of one syllable that would be nice :) Sad to hear there's so much going on, and not much of it nice at the moment :(

I was also thinking about the whole space-y theme going on in X & Y... You don't think we're going to have an X & Y Pt.2 with LP5, do you? Because, much as I loved it, I think they've definitely moved on - considering how epic Viva was, I think they could make LP5 10 times better (and different) than anything they've done before... On the other hand, intergalactic theme sounds awesome :laugh3: And I suppose 18th century Revolutionary politics sounds like a weird theme for an album but look how incredible VLVODAAHF turned out to be :D Oh well, I'm sure that whatever they do it will be fantastic :D

I heard The Hardest Part on the radio yesterday... It was good :D How much I'm looking forward to reading Roadie... :smug: I also heard the song Guy composed for that movie... Longest Night In Shanghai? It is beautiful :pleased:

When your conversation with your parents goes something like this: Step 1. You try to persuade your parents that you're not completely addicted to Coldplay/Coldplaying/everything Coldplay-related. Step 2. They disagree (obviously) and say something along the lines of "Obsession isn't necessarily a bad thing but if you really think you're not that obsessed, I'd like to see how long you could last without them." Step 3: You (feeling very confident that it will be easy as pie to drag yourself away) reply "Of course, I bet I could go without them for AT LEAST 2 days, if not more." (which brings on lots of eye-rolling) Step 4: 20 minutes later they find you smiling giddily at your computer screen, singing along to the live Lovers In Japan video - which leads to "You see the point?" At which point you blush and say "OK, maybe I am a little obsessed..." This happened to me today :laugh:

You see a butterfly (real one) and you run upstairs to get a camera to take a picture because that's what Guy might do (being into photography and all :)) Also when you're making a cake for said person's birthday - and your friends just stare at you funny when you tell them this :laugh3: By the way, sorry for two posts, it's just that I double posted and didn't want people saying anything. The butterflies I got from the Glasgow concert (best night of my life ever :D) look like the yellow version - apart from they're all different colours :P The blue one looks really weird compared to the ones I'm used to...

Hey Amy :D Sorry I didn't say bye properly yesterday - and yeah, I'm Annabel :P I was so tired though, and at 3am my eyes were beginning to close :laugh3: but that's the price we have to pay for Coldplay/Guy addiction :D The smiley of pervs sounds quite right, but perhaps not on this thread... that's just for the various Guy/Chris/Jonny/Will threads floating around on here... :P where we can really say all our thoughts, even the very :wink3: ones :P

OMG, yes! We should slyly suggest to them that (as well as still being full-time musicians of course, seeing as I wouldn't be able to live without their music :o) they should think about a career in modelling :wink3: and if they really wanted to make their fans happy, modelling underwear seems like a VERY good idea... :bomb: :lol:
