Oh, and this picture still takes my breath away a little when I see it, even though I've seen it for a few days now. Even though it's not an obvious one, like them hugging or kissing or whatever, you can just feel the warmth and friendship between them, they're just so close. It is perfect :nice: No Buckin on the liveblog tonight though :(

This picture is just, wow! Chris is so intense and they look so in love!!! God, thanks to this thread I now see Buckin everywhere. *Everywhere* I tell you. (Not that that's necessarily a bad thing... :sneaky: :laugh3:)

Chris seems to have a certain penchant for throwing guitars this tour - he sort of chucked it to the ground (rather than throwing it) at Glasgow - it was on the runway and I asked one of the security guys if I could get a bit but he didn't let me have it :( :laugh3: Violet Hill was also definitely played at the SECC, I'm thinking it's maybe just because of 'long and dark December'? Just a thought :)

Loved R42's blog today. Total two fingers up to the haters i.e. pretentious indie hipster snobs who disown a band when they get more than ten fans. Yeah, Coldplay got popular (God knows they always deserved it) and they want to make their kind of music the norm, rather than soulless, generic crap. See nothing wrong with that, and if they decided to go on X Factor then that's their choice. Personally, I thought they were great. Forever in agreement with 42 :D

If I'm not very, very much mistaken, it's a poppy - in which case it would be for Remembrance Day (11th day of the 11th month ie. 11th November). It's to mark the end of WW1, as that was when the Armistice was signed in 1918 :)

I really need to stop spending so much time on Coldplaying - I'm not getting any study done at all, and when I'm on here at night I'm always on 'til really late. Early mornings are getting worse and worse each day!!!

This. Although I know Chris *always* says it'll be their last album - and we've just had (the excellent in its own way) LP5 - I'm terrified of the day Coldplay do actually eventually split and so any further albums we get I will be grateful for no matter what. Unless it's dubstep. I hate dubstep! :laugh3: Also, basically this. MX only came out in October - it's December! We waited 3 years after Viva so I don't see LP6 coming out any time soon. I wouldn't want it right now either - what I love about Coldplay is that their albums are quality over quantity. I'd rather have 5 incredible spaced-out albums than 20 awful albums which they've just rushed, and I also want time to enjoy the MX era. Take time to appreciate it: I'll admit that I was a little uncertain about the direction MX had taken when I first heard it but now I absolutely love it! Yes, it's different, but who would want a repeat of previous albums? I love the 'old' Coldplay sound, but equally I love MX in its own way - I think the point is not to compare the albums because they are all entirely different! The creative process isn't one that can be hurried if we want amazing music: it takes time! Also, whilst we as fans have a certain right to expect great things of a band we've given so much support to, we also have to respect the fact that they're the musicians - they'll make the music that feels right to them, not what they feel they *have* to make - something which is forced never sounds anywhere near as good as things which have come from the soul, and I truly believe that's where Coldplay's music comes from. Anyway: /end rant :laugh3:

So I never, ever, ever believed in A (I've always loved their music with all of my heart and defended it when it was called 'depressing' - which, to this day, I maintain it is NOT!) but are we saying that B is a bad reason to love Coldplay? :laugh3: Because while it's not the main thing I adore them for, obviously, it isn't a bad bonus... :lol: Just sayin' ;)
