  1. This. :nice:
  2. Can't say I was blown away, but I loved the way they carried themselves on stage. Very lively and perhaps more importantly also very funny. I think it really helps to get people dancing if the band behaves a bit crazy. :D PARTEH! :awesome:
  3. Prince Charles is such a looker. :wacky:
  4. I saw that. :nice: I dont wan't to but want to listen. :shame:
  5. I don't have to pay for public transport (that's part of my student grant), otherwise I could never afford it. But I like going somewhere, especially by train, so I don't mind that it takes forever. And I'm used to it now. :sweatdrop: If I would only go to shows in my town, I wouldn't be able to see really really awesome stuff like Jónsi or LCD Soundsystem. :wacky: *grabs time machine* Oh, wait. I already have the album on my computer.
  6. I met somebody who killed and ate a possum. :P
  7. That must have been amazing! :nice: I'll try to listen to that album this week (before I forget again ).
  8. Yeah, but that's near you, right? For gigs in Amsterdam I have to travel six hours. :bigcry: Yeeeeh  I really liked Timber Timbre! Probably one of my favourite opening acts this year. I love dark and melancholic music, so Timber Timbre is exactly my cup of tea. Can you recommend any albums or eps? Broken Social Scene was pretty good, except for the fact that they have two hour sets. I usually don't mind, but they started too late for me to see the whole thing because I had to catch the last train home. But apart from that, I really enjoyed the show. The new songs sounded fantastic (especially liked Texico Bitches, Forced to Love and The Sweetest Kill) and they played a good selection of old songs (7/4 Shoreline, Cause = Time, Anthems etc., unfortunately no Lover's Spit). Also awesome crowd participation. At one point Kevin invited a boy on the stage to hold the lyrics to Forced to Love. It was kind of hilarious because Kevin was almost hitting on the boy. But he didn't seem to mind. Highlight for me was when Kevin sang a song in the middle of the audience and everyone automatically started taking pictures and photos. He said that we should just "savour the memory" and everyone just listened. :D I was really bummed that I couldn't see the whole show, but I knew that beforehand. BSS are a lot of fun though. :nice:
  9. Start with the album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. :nice: (song: Jesus Etc.) Believe me, I want to. But I'm just a very, very poor student who spent all her money on err.. The National and some other bands. :sweatdrop: But my energy company is supposed to give my money back next week, a Wilco ticket is basically at the top of my want-to-buy list. :nice: It better not sell out. :whip:
  10. I usually have a whole stack of tickets for upcoming shows. Now I only have one (and festival tickets). It's not much.
  11. :laugh3: Your shirt (and you, for that matter) is very blurry by the way. :P Bleh, I still need to buy a ticket. :dozey: (did I mention that it's a festival with a full Wilco set? And that the line-up so far is freaking awesome? :cheesy: - link)

  13. I'd love to have this shirt: (it says "too many dicks on the dancefloor" :awesome:) But at the concert I attended they only had unisex ones, which is a waste of money really. :dozey: Usually shirts are about €20-€30 here, in my opinion quite expensive.
  14. No, I ment ADHD*, because the singer and guitarist were incredibly hyperactive. * I don't mean to say either have ADHD, but they behaved like complete lunatics.
  15. Yeah, I think I'll do that too. I won't be able to resist if it leaks early though! :D It's just so hard not to click on those links. I hate twitter. *glare* The only reason I'm bothering with it is because I don't want to miss any (pre)sales to shows close by. (and it's really handy to find leaks :wacky:)
  16. I don't want to read positive reviews anymore. That will just raise my already very high expectations even more. :disappointed:
  17. It's very summery. Which is perfect for June. I listened to the album when I cycled to my fathers house today and I rather like it. Stand out tracks so far: Best Friend, Let's Go Surfing and Forever and Ever Amen, but these are also the songs I'm most familiar with. I'll definitely spend some time listening to this. :nice: They played in my hometown yesterday, so I went to see them. The performance was certainly very entertaining to watch. The singer and one of the guitarists were very, very ADD and their dance moves were pretty.. epic. :D I couldn't really judge their musical performance though because the music was so fucking loud (it literally hurt my ears) and apparently the singer prefers to shout into the microphone instead of singing. Normally I never have any problems with loud music, but I'm considering getting earplugs now. :freak: Just click the link to the stream I posted and go listen. :P
  18. Review! :awesome: http://www.saidthegramophone.com/archives/gorgeous_demolitions.php Sounds very promising. :bomb: Awh, poor you. ... I WANT TO SEE THEM TOO GODDAMMIT!! :whip:
  19. Rololo. That's.. epic. :D
  20. Crappy venue for me. :( I wasn't planning on going, but still. :D
  21. Are most of those sets only 30 minutes? :freak: A nine hour time difference is a bit much for me anyway..
  22. They have no links though. :disappointed: I think this may work. :nice:
  23. Meh. I almost never buy shirts because they are usually a bit too short. :dozey: So I guess these are my favourite things: It's holographic and (more importantly) very pointy. :wacky: It's a tea towel :awesome: And I LOVE my Radiohead/Stanley Donwood posters, but I guess that isn't merch really. :nice:
