Villagers
Either I'm blind or there isn't a thread yet. Anyway, Villagers is an Irish band from Dublin fronted by Conor O'Brien. Their debut album was released in Europe in May and will be released in the US and Canada next week. I like the album a lot. :nice: [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] http://www.myspace.com/villagers

The Drums
I don't know if this works outside of the Netherlands, but you can stream the album here: http://3voor12.vpro.nl/luisterpaal/ (or if you want to scrobble to last fm http://luisterpaal.fm) Let me know if it works! :nice: (and so very surprisingly the album leaked as well :P)

Arcade Fire
They have quite a reputation, especially for their live shows. :nice: (and there are probably ticket touts trying to profit from this, at least here they would. Vermin. *glare*

JONSI
No, sadly not. :disappointed: But now I'm even more sure I'll never pass up the chance of seeing them. I'll post a link here when it's online. :nice:

Radiohead
True, but that doesn't mean the rest of the year will be as good. As I said in my previous post, I'm waiting for just one album. After that Radiohead's non communication will become increasingly annoying for me. I don't think it's that hard to post a tiny update every now and then. Or if there's no news maybe a riddle or something. :shame:

Radiohead
Ugh, I know. :freak: The utter lack of information could either mean that things aren't moving on and LP8 will be released in 2015 or that the recording sessions are productive and we could expect an album end 2010 or somewhere in 2011. I fear it's the former rather than the latter though. During the In Rainbows wait there was way more information available, right? (and not to mention new songs RADIOHEAD played live in 2006) It would make sense to check DAS and at ease if that was the situation right now. But even at ease is sort of dead and not very interesting at the moment. I need a new band to obsess over. After the Arcade Fire record I have no new releases I'm waiting for.

Meh, it's just something about the music industry. http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20100603_brianmessage.shtml Oh, and the guy said it would be unlikely that Radiohead would sign to a label for longterm. WTF. :freak:

JONSI
The whole show is recorded professionally, so it should be available in the internets soon. But I'm still waiting for the Beach House recording from last week, so it might take a while. I saw a bootlegger in the audience by the way, so chances are that will be uploaded soon. :wacky: IT WAS SOOOO AMAZING!! :bomb: And everyone in the room was so quiet! Normally there are always a couple of asses talking through the music but yesterday was just perfect. I didn't think that would even be possible. :nice: This is last night's setlist: Now compare with proper titles: 1. Stars in Still Water 2. Hengilás 3. Icicle Sleeves 4. Kolniður 5. Tornado 6. Sinking Friendships 7. Saint Naive 8. Go Do 9. Boy Lilikoi 10. New Piano Song 11. Around Us 12. Encore: 12. Animal Arithmetic 13. Grow Till Tall :D

Explosions in the Sky
I must see them live. They are not touring.
-
The Drums
The main reason I'm gonna see them this week is because of the singer's dance moves. :wacky: ..and perhaps the music as well. :shame:
