  1. I am really tall. I guess that gets noticed, especially when I'm abroad.
  2. Nederlands is best tof. I bet Steve agrees with me.
  3. What happened to coldplayland?
  4. Hospice by The Antlers is the most depressing/shocking/sad album I've ever heard. But it's very beautiful. :wacky:
  5. Wederzijdse onwetendheid. I'm just curious, but what are you using these phrases for?
  6. Haha, Alice, you better warn us if Fucked Up really is fucked up.
  7. The problem with that sentence is that it's an expression (the keeping sane part) and it's not one that exists in Dutch. We don't really have a word for sanity. The closest translation would be mental health and that doesn't fit. Idk, nothing that really covers the meaning of the English sentence springs to mind. Maybe "voor jou hou ik mijn hoofd erbij" (literally: for you I keep my head clear) or something. :blank: Or "ik blijf toerekeningsvatbaar voor jou" (literally: I stay sound of mind (as in the legal definition) for you). :laugh3: That was a joke. :shame:

  9. :D The Decemberists show I attended in 2007 is still one of my favourites ever (and considering that I've seen quite a lot of artists live it's an achievement alright), so I'm really looking forward to the tour/new album. :nice:
  10. But they are so aaaaaawesome. You should go. :( I already bought my ticket, hehe.
  11. I love you with all my heart would be a close albeit not literal translation.

  14. Subscription kills forums. I've seen it happen before and it's not pretty. :( Good. :nice:
  15. Thanks guys! Here are another few: Compare these two: Mick looks like a sweet old man while Paul looks like, well, a fox. :D Wtf Damon.
  16. That's why I at least want to attempt to watch them. But there are so many episodes I don't think I'll watch all series. I'm downloading a few story arcs from One and Four now to see if I want to see more. :nice:
  17. :D I can't wait to start watching. I almost finished the first series, but I watched them on my laptop (= crappy quality). Plus, the boxsets have loads of extra stuff! :awesome: Aaand.. I discovered almost all series of the old Doctor Who on the internets. I'm considering buying an extra external drive just to download watch those. :dead:
  18. Look what I bought:  :bomb: :awesome:
  19. Old news. I think they used to do a short episode on Tuesday and a long one on Friday, but I don't watch Jools live that often.
  20. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Mr. November got PG rated.
  21. I know right! Their touring schedule is crazy, I still can't see why they did the Amsterdam show in the middle of the UK tour (fyi they're doing London - Amsterdam - London in three nights :freak:). That must be exhausting. But still, everyone at my show was really enthusiastic and full of energy. Damon even seemed close to manic, he was so happy! :D Haha, yes! The only thing I really missed was O Green World, but I can live with that. I should've taken an extra set of eyes though, I was so busy watching the band I missed a lot of the amazing animations. I must have a dvd. :wacky:
  22. I think the TGTBATQ album might be my favourite of all of Damon's work. But it's also the first album by him I heard so it kinda makes sense I guess. I really hope they'll make another one, although I'd also be quite happy with new Blur material. And if they tour, they better do it properly because I don't think they toured much with that album.. Tony Allen is a really cool drummer, by the way. :wacky: OK, here are a few pics. I haven't sorted everything yet, but so far I'm not disappointed by the way the pictures turned out. Especially since I couldn't take my proper camera and had to deal with a crappy and old point & shoot. They aren't in any order, the first one is actually one of the last photos I took. I'm getting kind of tired now, but I might post some other pics tomorrow in case you're interested. :nice: Here's the setlist to my show: * Orchestral Intro * Welcome To The World Of The Plastic Beach * Last Living Souls * 19-2000 * Stylo * On Melancholy Hill * Rhinestone Eyes * Kids With Guns * Superfast Jellyfish * Tomorrow Comes Today * Empire Ants * Broken * Dirty Harry * El Mañana * White Flag * To Binge * Dare * Glitter Freeze * Punk * Plastic Beach Encore: * Cloud Of Unknowing * Feel Good Inc. * Clint Eastwood * Don't Get Lost In Heaven * Demon Days
  23. Yep, I think I'm gonna sort my photos now. :D
  24. Hmm.. That's though. I really enjoyed Punk, Cloud of Unknowing (BOBBY!) and.. the usual super awesome songs. :nice: NO SEATS!! :awesome: The venue they played at is basically a big hall with limited seating at the end (plus a balcony). I arrived pretty early, about half an hour before the doors opened, so I stood really close to the stage. As I'm quite tall I had a great view. :D YESH. I saw them at a festival three years back. Really glad I did (my friend had to drag me away from Damien Rice), because now I only need to see Blur of Albarn's bands. :P
  25. Paul. He's so much more awesome with Gorillaz than with TGTBATQ. :awesome: And basically everything else was super duper awesome too! I'm too hyper to go to sleep. It's 2:40 am and I just sat in a train for more than two hours. :bomb: Help.
