  1. Aww, it's not your fault. I happened to find a bad brony which has definitely jaded my view. I mean if he preferred brony music to other music then I'd be okay... But like literally I can't name one non-brony artist I've ever heard him listen to or say he's liked. :stunned: I probably also wouldn't mind the music so much if I heard it in passing. But I heard it for about 8 hours a day. Sometimes loud enough to disrupt mine, which I don't deal well with. That history you've written is quite interesting though. I kind of have a bit more respect for it knowing there is a background to it.
  2. You're very right. I wanted to strangle him on several occasions. But the other bronies of his I've met are always going on about how brony music is the best thing ever. And I just don't get how you can say that? :inquisitive:
  3. ^Oh no, Chris Martin thinks it is the best thing Muse has ever done. I'm sure all of us here are in agreement that it's not. It's just split people as to whether they like it or not. I've been having an ongoing debate on NME.com with people about why it's not that great. A lot of people agree and some people are vocal on their disagreement. I am getting sick to death of them bandying around the terms of 'progressing forward' and 'stuck in the past'. Yes, they are progressing forward to different musical areas, and I applaud bands for doing that. I would never want an OOS rehash. BUT when they progress forward and the writing and the music quality decreases, then I object. And I'm not stuck in the past either. Again, I would accept and embrace a change if the music was still good... And this Muse is not good. It's sub-par. I loved the second Bombay Bicycle Club album despite it being folk compared to the first being pure indie... BECAUSE THE QUALITY OF THE NEW MUSIC WAS STILL GOOD.
  4. Ugh. No. My housemate was a brony and a furry. And UGH. He came to Isle of Wight and complained throughout the entire line-up that they weren't as good as his MLP brony-dubstep. And then he worked Reading and complained throughout the entire thing that these people weren't musicians and should look up brony music. Oh and when I met Howler and he came with me, he tried to introduce them to MLP music. I'm sorry but whatt. Why is it the bronies think that everyone should love their stuff and it's so influential?
  5. I don't like it either. I can't believe Michael does... There's something new for the books :dozey:
  6. Surely I can't be the only one on the forum that absolutely loves Howler... America Give Up is one of the best debuts of 2012 and they're brilliant live. 7. Yess :smug: Hate hugs are still hugs! Yess. Blatantly how I hug anyway
  8. Also-- FYI it's Natt-a-too-ey (like Rattatouille the food/film?) :P I really love the video-- even if you might hate me now :dozey:
  9. Oh I'm so excited about it. It's looking so amazing and travelling so far already.
  10. I'm just hoping that the bits and pieces of T2L that we've heard are really pieces that don't work out of context. Because so far we've had 3 extremely different song types, themes and styles. And it feels really disjointed as an album from that. I'm wondering if it is taking the idea of the actual second law of thermodynamics. Thinking of laws of thermodynamics/entropy it would mean alone each song alone is weird/chaotic, but in a system they work together? Maybe I am overthinking this to make myself feel better.
  11. ^I believe you may be suffering from... Ma-ma-ma-madness ma-ma-ma-madness :awesome: IT'S LIKE PARA-PARA-PARADISE PUNS.
  12. ^ To satisfy curiosity... Yes. I'm not won over. At all. I might be, when I hear all of this as a whole... I am starting to figure that perhaps these are little bits that work well together?
  13. So Madness leaked. I haven't heard/found the leak... But the preview is horrific. Like so so bad. Like Mylo Xyloto bad. I'm hopeful it gets better? Why do I keep buying the expensive vinyls and then find out they're going to be the worst albums of the bands' careers?
  14. If there's not a badass massive robot in the live setup I am so going to be pissed. And it struck me what 'dubstep' it sounded like... It sounds like one of the tracks off Nine Inch Nails 'Ghosts I-IV'. And that was industrial electronic metal? :dozey: Oh and hey, this is amazing: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk1Jk7pLlAU]The 2nd Law: Sit The Fuck Down - YouTube[/ame]
  15. Good way. When I heard 'MUSE DOES DUBSTEP' I envisioned some sort of hideous Skrillex-y mash up. And it's not like that. And with the concept and vibe of the song, what they've done is really clever. It's destructive and decidedly chaotic. Like things are breaking down. Added bonus: for it not being cheesy. Minus points: don't think it will be played live or, if it is, it will be the walk-on/off intro. I can't see it being replicated easily on stage. It requires far too many Macbooks. I also ordered the full deluxe boxset because it looks so pretty. And it gives you more than MX did for a lower price.
  16. Unsustainable has surprised me... Massively.
  17. I didn't know we had an Ed Sheeran thread. Anyway, he's better live than his album. His album was such a disappoint; overproduced in comparison to live Ed.
  18. Nightflying is my jam :awesome:
  19. Yep, I think it is because for WR Kasabian were like 'oh hey, we're doing super srs business whilst also being out there enough that people are like 'whoaa, dems good''. At least, I reckon that's what Tom was like-- I get that vibe. Yeah, I have to say FWN is still my favourite Arctic Monkeys album. I think part of it is the fact it came out of nowhere just as all the guitar, indie music started coming on the scene. And it has an attitude and swagger. I have to say that 'R U Mine?' is probably one of my favourite tracks of theirs though... (Although that could be because of the video, because :dazzled:) I would listen to it definitely. Due out on the 13th (I have my copy on pre-order already :laugh3:). I think it will be enjoyable for you from what I know of it so far (I've heard ~8 of the album tracks live already). Agree with this 100% Nope, not really. They are making more waves over here than over there. I think they had to cancel their US dates because of lack of interest  But they have done a few US festivals. If you hadn't heard them over here then... Well, I'd wonder where you had been. NME champion them massively, they have played at pretty much every UK festival and they've just started to get Radio 1 airplay... Oh and I sort of unintentionally stalk them. I'm seeing them on Wednesday for the 8th time :uhoh: And hey, their lead singer, Fred, knows my face now. He's recognised me at 3 shows and I've had Celestine, Chevy Thunder and Twenty-Nothing dedicated to me. And they've also said I'm the Spector superfan (I'm proud but also ashamed?)
  20. Yeah, probably true. But they're still a lot of fun and quite good imo. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: Basically my reaction. :stunned: Heh, I didn't even know that was a leak if I'm honest. Sorry to spoiler it for anyone if they were waiting (were we waiting?). Yeah we're all lack over here.
  21. ^Yep. Max is really nice like that :awesome:
  22. This scrapbook keeps getting more awesome. I'm really glad it made it there in one piece. Sorry for our boring stamps; I was going to put some of my musical stamps on there but the woman was like 'that'll need pretty much all your Coldplay stamps' and I couldn't part with them :uhoh:
  23. This probably should go in The Script thread...
