  1. I hope they put up the puppets in the sale! I want them SO BAD!!! :bomb:
  2. Oh yeah, I forget that the stadium-type concerts in Europe/etc. are different from most of the gigs here (you can pick whatever row you want in most venues here, instead of a mad dash to get to the front). Bummer.
  3. nightmarequeen... I didn't put a smiley next to my comment becuase I'm not kidding. I could get the guitar and keep it for awhile (it will probably be awhile until they go on tour again, so I'd have it for at least a year). And then if you buy concert tickets and guarantee me front row at the concert near you, I'd fly out and give the guitar to you after we go to the concert. Sounds like a win-win-win-win deal to me.
  4. Only if you promise to get me in the front row whenever they have their next concert near you.
  5. WOW. The Oracle wasn't joking when she said there would be "all manner of items" to bid on. I'd like one of the guitars, but I would feel guilty bidding on it since I don't play guitar. It should go to someone who could get some use out of it (instead of it sitting dormant on a shelf for display).
  6. Hopefully the bald guy isn't a bald Guy. tee hee Are we sure that pic is from the Beehive? The video was shot from the Bakery, and I doubt they would move everything over to the Beehive just to sign the stuff. I think that's part of the point, is they want to get rid of stuff so they don't have to lug it over to the new place. (Well, of course, on top of the charity aspect.)
  7. I hope there are a few of Will's drumsticks included in the sale/auction. Oh yeah, and a pastel scarf or two would be nice. And the Oracle just answered my question about the auction... :P
  8. That was MY question! And of course, I'm happy with the Oracle's response. However, I now realize I should have also included in my question, whether or not it will be a 'regular' auction, or if there will be the 'Buy Now' option... mmmph...
  9. Will's drumsticks for sure. (actually I mentioned in my post, a few above this one) Ugh, I need to get to bed. :sleeping2: But I am just too excited about this.
  10. If they put up some of Will's old drumsticks I would get them and bang my head with them all day long. :freak:
  11. I'm pretty sure it's the one in the Shiver video, which may or may not be the one on the Parachutes cover. BTW, I was at the DTE show too... I live in LO...
  12. Hmmm... after watching the Clearout video a few times, it just seems like something is missing. I'm waiting for Scarlett Johansson to pop out and say "what about THIS one, or THAT one, or THIS one, or THAT one". If anyone here is familiar with the Saturday Night Live 'chandelier' and 'porcelain fountain' skits, you'll know what I mean. :D
  13. A question just came to mind... why are they auctioning off VLV garb? Don't they need that for the upcoming Latin America tour? Although, I suppose they have more than one of what they need as a backup. That just struck me as odd. I'll wait until about the 27th to see what the items are going for, to see whether or not I'll be able to bid on anything. GLOBE WOULD BE AWESOME I could put in on my shelf right next to my lovely vinyl Parachutes. :D
  14. Yes. What you said. (all of it) Gosh, I hope that anyone can buy this stuff. I tried to buy something recently on the UK ebay and I couldn't becuase there was no option for U.S. buyers (due to the dollar/pound exchange rate issue). I really want to be able to bid on something!!! :worried2:
  15. Yip... just think of how hard it was for me to keep a straight face while I was completing the sale. And the even stranger part: he was buying a gold snake ring (with red ruby eyes) for his biker wife. The picture that popped into my head was the Ronald McDonald character, wearing a Santa hat and beard, with a live boa constrictor scarf, and leather chaps.
  16. NO. A few years ago I worked at a shopping mall, and of course 'Santa' was there around Christmastime. After his 'shift', he came into my store and purchased a few items. I had to enter his name/address info in the computer to do the purchase... guess what his real-life name was... I'm not joking... . . . . . . RONALD McDONALD
  17. How do you know who your Secret Santa is?... The person that I sent a card to hasn't been online since the beginning of November, so hopefully they remembered to send a card to their person.
  18. As fellow appreciators of Will, I'm hoping that I can get some input from the rest of you here… A coworker and I were recently discussing how the members of Coldplay have changed (in regard to appearance) throughout the years from the Parachutes days. I mentioned that I thought Will had changed the most in appearance (we both agree that he is more handsome now than he was 10 years ago; let's face it, some guys just look better with a buzz cut and a little facial hair). I told him that it almost looks like the shape of Will's jaw has changed during the years also. It looks, to me, like Will used to have a very pronounced overbite, which could have been corrected over a period of time without surgery. During the Parachutes days (and before), the overbite seemed pretty obvious; then it seemed to be mostly corrected during the AROBTTH era, and completely corrected by the X&Y era. My coworker thinks that the lower part of Will's face just looks different because of the slight beard/facial hair, and that's it. I disagree. What do you think? Corrected overbite, or no?... 19. If the trouble with your left hand is a matter of timing with the right hand or just moving your hand up and down to the correct spot, I would recommend for a little while only playing the left hand. That way you can concentrate on how that part is supposed to sound, the rhythm, and getting familiar with how it is supposed to 'feel'. I had a hard time with the left hand at first also, but that was actually because I wasn't using the official sheet music at first. I thought when hitting the single notes I had to do both ends of the octave (2 notes), but when I saw the official sheet music it's just the one note (alternating with the chord). Just practice with the left hand only for awhile, and see how that works.
  20. Oh, that's sweet of you, thanks for the offer. Yes, just let me know whether or not 'outsiders' can buy them directly from the postal service there. I'm going to London in July, but I'm afraid they will be all sold out by then... especially considering how quickly Coldplay-related items have been going these days.
  21. OH, WOW. I didn't even realize this! Thanks for the idea! http://www.usps.com/postagesolutions/customizedpostage.htm?from=home_wouldyouliketo&page=createcustompostage
