Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
“Paradise seems to be the most whistled song as everyone walks out”. Looks like the new record has brought its own magic with it.

Chris Martin dissapointed to leave "Moving To Mars" from the album.
I disagree. Put it immediately after Charlie Brown. Pull up both songs on YouTube, push play on MTM just as the last note of CB is played. It's such a beautiful transition. And for those who say it "doesn't fit" the theme/mood/whatever of the album, I disagree. If the album is supposed to be a "story" about two people, I don't see how this can not fit into their story. I find it interesting that the guy describes it as Louis Armstrong meets Pink Floyd... from the very beginning I described it as Billie Holiday meets Pink Floyd, so I definitely know what this guy means.

The Graham Norton Show
Okay, well reading the comments here that the other guests are Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, indeed this show WILL BE on BBC America Saturday night at 10pm EST, even though it doesn't list Coldplay in the show description. For all of you unitedstatesians out there.

2012 North America Tour announced!
Or it could simply be that all that noise has damaged your hearing over the years, so it only seems that the volume is lower. oh snap It was super loud when I went, and I was in the middle of the venue. I still had trouble hearing the next morning.

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
In regard to Paradise? I think that really is the technical term for it though in the music industry, even though it sounds weird (to some of us, since we associate record with being the album as a whole instead of just the song). If you watch some of those "best of" compilation shows on VH1 where they get musicians' input, they always refer to the songs as "that record". Took me awhile to get used to that.

2012 North America Tour announced!
I suppose on the bright side, some people who were thinking about buying tickets might see the prices and go "eff this poop, I'm not spending that much", and we might get better seats than we otherwise would have. / trying to make lemonade out of lemons Pretty darn loud, methinks. At the concert I went to, when the opening act started playing, venue employees were going around selling earplugs; I was surprised how many people actually bought them (even the lady I was with bought some)! You can still hear just fine with them in, but that way won't be deaf afterward. You could always bring some of your own, nothing fancy, just cheap foam ones that fit in your pocket.

The Graham Norton Show
They do have new ones, but I think it's tomorrow night. But the thing is, they only list "regular" guests and not musical guests in the description (on Comcast, anyway).

2012 North America Tour announced!
I haven't even been paying much attention since I'm not going to any shows on the first leg... is that price for bad seats or good seats? :uhoh:

2012 North America Tour announced!
My guess is probably not... but don't hold me to it if they do.

2012 North America Tour announced!
^ I disagree, it's more than 25% higher than what I paid on the Viva tour. my sneaky pap pic from far away

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
 And apparently you are right... the new European dates Coldplay announced today are during the gaps of Radiohead's European tour. I just hope they maintain that pattern for the second leg of the US tour.

The Graham Norton Show
Who are the guests going to be? I'm looking at the listings on the BBC America station and I'm trying to figure out if this show is on the upcoming listings, the descriptions show the regular guests (but not the musical guests).

2012 North America Tour announced!
For those who are wondering why they don't appear to be coming to your city like they did last time, don't worry. The announcement said that these are the dates "so far". That means there will be more. I highly doubt they would skip New York. And they visited Detroit twice on the last tour, when it's not on this list. Have no fear, they'll announce plenty more dates. :nice: I would go to the Chicago show, but that happens to fall on my hubby's birthday so I should probably not take a road trip leaving town for a few days, and spend time with him at home instead. Well put. I mean, I understand there's lots of production involved with their show, but it just seems like a little much. That's twice the price of RH tickets, methinks. The only thing I'm not sure I agree with you about is the whole arena/stadium thing. Depending on the artist, arenas have different setups for seating. When I went to a concert at the arena down the road from me (The Palace of Auburn Hills), there was a HUGE general admission section on the floor in front of the stage, it took up the entire area of the Pistons basketball court. I think you'll be fine if that's the type of experience you're looking for, most arenas will do the same thing if that's what the artist has in mind.

Secret Santa 2011. Don't forget to send your card!!
Sent mine out today, it is officially on it's way across the pond to an undisclosed place in Europe! :D I decided to send it with slightly expedited delivery (slightly more expensive :anxious: ) to make sure it gets there in plenty of time (of course, that's my fault for waiting so long  ).

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
Agreed! And with all the presale tickets being sold to AMEX holders, I almost feel like I have to break down and get a card (for no other reason). :\ Based on the dates posted thus far, it looks like they'll to some east coast / east-midwest shows in the fall, and come back around the following summer for the "shed" gigs (similar to the schedule for the Viva tour). I mean, they haven't even listed New York dates, and I highly doubt they'd leave that out ( + Detroit). I just hope they don't end up having dates at the same time as Radiohead (who haven't announced theirs yet either)... I'd scream in frustration. :|

Radiohead
Is it just my lack of observation, but was France not on the tour date list until now? As of yet (time of this post), there's not an announcement on DAS.
