  1. Yeah, it's always weird not calling people by their usenames, or at least picturing them in your head.
  2. War And Peace - Tolstoy I've figured that if I can read at a rate of 12 pages a day (I'll not be reading every day but that will be the average and I have to learn French and Java the computer program this year too) then in the coming year I can read: War And Peace - Leo Tolstoy Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy The Brothers Karamazov - Fyodor Dostoevsky The Idiot - Fyodor Dostoevsky Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Fredrich Nietsche The Rebel - Albert Camus Heart Of Darkness - Joseph Conrad I'd be happy if that was my year in reading.
  3. It doesn't appear to be something I'd enjoy, but I'm happy for your excitement :)
  4. Haha sweet. The board appears to be obsessed with him at the moment. How come?
  5. Yeah I'm good but there's not much to do. Been reading a little but I really should get up and do stuff. Any plans for New Year?
  6. The following books: War And Peace - Leo Tolstoy Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy The Brothers Karamazov - Fyodor Dostoevsky The Idiot - Fyodor Dostoevsky Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Fredrich Nietsche The Fall Lyrics book Defining Moments In History Over A Century Of The People, Discoveries, Disasters And Political and Cultural Events That Rocked The World National Geographic Calendar Electronic Dictionary Bookmark (really cool - you type in the word onto the screen and it gives you the meaning, but it's still slim enough to ft inside a book. Bendable too!) Boxers and socks
  7. Wilco. Like the new album, have never really been that in to their other stuff. I reckon now I've had an 'in' with the new one, I could grow to appreciate some of the rest. Anyone fancy making a playlist?
  8. Radiohead - King Of Limbs Other Lives - Tamer Animals Modeselktor - Monkeytown Wilco - The Whole Love Bjork - Biophilia Real Estate - Days Atlas Sound - Parallax Youth Lagoon - The Year Of Hibernation Tycho - Dive
  9. What do you think? Have you sculpted an online persona much more popular than you are in real life? Or do you feel shackled by constant interactions online rather than truly open and honest free flowing discussion between two people that you don't get in a thread? I guess this is ignoring private messages since there you are able to be yourself more and it is more just like a normal interaction without people looking in. Also, I'm talking about if we hadn't all met on Cping and just met randomly, I'm talking now you might know people online, if you were to meet them irl, would it be easier for you to be yourself now the ice is broken a little? Or is your online persona a true representation of who you really are?
  10. Anyone and everyone who isn't a murderer. Although it would be weird for me to be meeting up with anyone super young. As a side point I'm confident people would like me more in real life than online.
  11. Might as well put in a post since we actually got a point from a game.
  12. Smashing Pumpkins is both a name for a band and a pick up line.

  14. I have no upper body strength either. Noodle arms. I'd prefer to think you couldn't because of an inner morality. Not just because Jesus told you not to. Though if you are going to follow Jesus' teachings, be careful which ones you go for (Matthew 15 1-6) I did a little on Locke and Hobbes in my politics but I struggle to remember it now. What level of education are you at?
  15. I'm sure you are capable of it physically, most people are. But are you mentally? How much self deception has to occur when a Christian studies philosophy in depth? Only joking, what are you learning at the moment?
  16. Haha, no. We should put our faith in the law. Leave retribution for the religious :p

  18. Spotify, YouTube or both. Anything music you want. When people are bored and wanting to get into new things they can come in here and pick a playlist. Like a low key, shorter version of the mixtape thread, just not as cool. People can feel free to discuss the playlists, marks out of ten, or give no feedback at all. If we limit it to say, between 3 and 8 songs (not a strict rule or anything, just a guideline) then it can be a nice little musical bubble you can offer to others.
  19. I put them on the juke box last night.
  20. Yeah. Accrington is not the best place for a black guy to go out. Depressing but true.
