Flaming Lips
Album is a grower. And I've still only listened to it a handful of times. Anybody know of any links to downloads of audios of live shows? Not UFO's at the the Zoo. Got that. Really wanna listen to a few of their live shows throughout their career, full concert.

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Moyes was at Preston from 1993-2002 and then Everton from 2002-2013 (if he does move on). This will be his dream job. I don't think it will be a case of him not wanting to move on and dedicate the rest of his career to it as there's no bigger job for him (given i can't see him leaving Britain).

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped there for the last three years because he knew the United job was his when it came if he could maintain Everton's success. Given he's managed at Preston, Everton and now possibly United, it's not like he's often out the North West so I could see him staying there a long time. United would be wise to see it as a long term thing. Next 3-5 years stabilising. If Ferguson is really the best around then they shouldn't expect anything but top 2/3 as whoever comes in will not be as good. That's not to say they should expect to relinquish the title, though, given the quality of the team. It would be understandable though given the spending power of City. He'll need time to bed in. Once he's there and has his feet under the carpet there's no reason why he can't keep United up there taking the title often though. Credit if he does do. I don't see much merit in taking a stabilised club and purposefully seeking out the manager merry-go-round route. That kind of thing is forced on people.

Everything's boring
I think if he was going to attack your grammar he would have replied straight after you or quoted you and said something more than read a book. he might have said read an English book. But then he'd have been a dick.

Everything's boring
It's not for me to say as I could be completely wrong but I was under the impression (especially given his other post, which i felt was valid) that he simply wanted her to concentrate on other things. Literature is a much more worthwhile thing to involve oneself in than 'trying' to be something. There is so much culture to embrace yourself in that is available to people. And this is down to ideas of thought, as well as music and fashion. It is through that that most culture is born. Understanding where you are, and therefore your similarities and differences with society around you and those from the past. It is there that art generally flows from, be it a reaction against what surrounds us or drawn from influences from the art you yourself consume. Maybe I read more into it than I should. Basically i think he wanted her to consume something other than simple music and fashion and take a standpoint different than 'how can I be different'.

I just don't trust Mancs who don't contribute to the music scene I guess. So bloody easy. Joking. I like him.

Who has been the greatest live act ever?
The best live experience I had was CocoRosie, third album tour. Nicely stoned (not too much at all) and a couple of drinks. Watching them play a really stripped back set and some great songs. Watched them a couple of years later and it was nothing compared. Sometimes things just click, other times they don't. Seen Radiohead and they were awesome, but the whole experience wasn't as good as this one. Wasn't a fan of the crowd singing along and clapping along, etc. I prefer more intimate venues and a bit of space to move for most bands. If it's something heavy there's nothing wrong with a bit of chaos in the crowd (not people being dicks, but a bit of movement). It can be strange watching something heavy going on and not feeling the crowd respond. As said above, it all depends on a good few factors. That four Tet gig sounds fucking great, too.

What has he done outside of football and Manchester? I'm not saying he hasn't, just wondering what you mean.

I wouldn't trust any press until it's unanimous. Moyes would be their best bet though. Couldn't imagine Mourinho stopping there for longer than five years or so, possibly a lot less. Moyes would be a long term appointment.

I'm writing a book about the whole Oklahoma thing.
Braille, just so the pop up bit really surprises.

Atoms For Peace (Thom Yorke+Flea+others)
As for the live version it's awesome but there's the lingering cheesey piano in parts that make it sound a little 90's, in a bad way.

Atoms For Peace (Thom Yorke+Flea+others)
Possibly top 3 on album when it clicks. I didn't like it through the first 5 or 6 listens of Amok. Grower, or you get it right away.

Life of Pi
My review has spoilers so don't click this if you haven't seen it. Basically was bigged up too much. First by press. Second by the film itself at the start. Then it concentrated too much on visuals.

Where's the City fan? Now is his time to post (and then our time, as always, to respond by telling him he's a shit fan who glory supports and should support a local team, especially given he appears to know very little about the sport).

Ask Anthony (Q&A)
This bit was my favourite bit. If it was intentional then kudos, but if not then even better.

Everything's boring
I'm pretty sure it's a response to the thread, and in which case it'd be a wise suggestion.

Can you provide a credible alternative to capitalism that not only all societies will embrace, but also those holding power will relent to?
