Hey I totally agree :lol: I think it's gonna be a digital release only but with all that teasing, I just can't picture them suddenly saying one day next week "congratulations, teasing is over, the song is called ??? and is available on iTunes, go get it". There has to be a delay! One week like Christmas Lights is too much, but 24 hours would be too short... So, basically : :shrug:

How do you actually think they're gonna release it? Will it be an immediate release, or will there be a delay between the announcement and the release itself? Will it be a physical and digital release, or just digital? :thinking:

Me too. I mean they release a silent video, people try to find a hidden sound in it, and what comes in the next one? A hidden sound! :smartass:

Like everyone I hope this will air here too, but since I'm in France, not an English country, I highly doubt that :dozey: But I still hope for it, I live near Disneyland and they've got an IMAX theater there.

And considering that half of the comments are "Pleaaaaase come to (insert location here)", the other half being "COLDPLAY <3 <3 <3" This :D

Well they were already changing the Hypnofeed during the weekend, so why not adding something that gets 4,044 likes and 478 comments on Facebook so far? :D

Although the "live before studio" thing makes totally sense, I still really hope we're gonna hear a studio version first. Please guys, I want studio quality in my iPod :(

It definitely "sounds" like a rap. Thanks foxeh, so we all agree :) Well you know it was just a strong feeling ^^ The lyrics are about rebellion, about something that has the power to gather a generation and shouldn't die... But like I said it's just the feeling! Turn it reaaaaaaally loud! :p

Lyrics were ok to me until now, now they're really great!! The sound is nice too.

This! I'm with the people who say that these are just lyrics, a way to say "hey, we're a huge band, remember us? well, something new is coming". Why would there be any kind of message like with the number of footsteps or the monday morning or anything? Remember that 90% of the people who watch the videos/gifs won't search for any hidden message, they just need to know that Coldplay is back and to be "prepared" to the new era.

Sure I will listen to it. Let's face it - you can't really escape from it, and it is the way the band wants us to discover the new era. And the whole development phase from the first single to the album release is so fascinating that it would be a shame to me to 'deny' some parts of it.

I really, really, really liked the VLV artworks. The album cover is much more powerful to me than the first 3 ones - it's able to create a story on different levels of interpretation, and that's kinda what the album is all about to me. I agree about lyrics, Martin isn't the best writer ever but I think he's doing really better since the VLV era, let's just hope that he's even better now. I'm a little bit late here but THIS!
