  1. There's probably a lot of things. But right now I'd change my Mom. So she wasn't schizophrenic and didn't have dementia or bipolar disorder. She'd be a lot happier that way and wouldn't have to live in an adult home anymore. :/
  2. Hell yessss! That's amazing! Good call. [: I didn't even think of that or see what you said until just now.
  3. Same here. :/ Well. Chris is the bomb. It should be thirteen. He is officially my hero. But. I hope they compromise and agree on the best possible scenario. Whatever that may be in the end.
  4. Alright. What's your favorite color? animal? food? drink? song? season? hobby? word? :]]]]
  5. All I can say is. Don't Believe the Truth>All their other albums. And. You can't be the best band in the world if music isn't your priority over drugs. Coldplay is the best band in part because they know what their priorities are and their passion for music is unflinching.
  6. Not me sir. Not me. Good music. Bad other chickens.
  7. Agreed. LP2 and LP4. Can't really judge LP5 until it's been out for at least a week. If not more.
  8. Wow. This I did not expect. I don't recall him ever saying a good thing about them. I thought they weren't cool enough for him because they don't do drugs or have sex with prostitutes? They make pretty good music. And Noel's a great lyricist. But I would replace 'best' with 'most influential'. But besides the talented music part let's look at the Gallagher brother's shall we. Except 1) Their lifestyles/habits. When you 'handle' fame by snorting coke all day and you let drugs interfere with your music, well. How do you respect people like that? Music first. There's really no question about it. 2) As you said, Noel has a massive ego. You're right, I mean, he's probably kidding sometimes times. But you can joke around without looking like an airhead and pretending you're better than everyone when you're not. He was cocky and he rightfully paid the price. I think my favorite summation of Be Here Now is this one by Q Magazine. "So colossally did Be Here Now fall short of expectations that it killed Britpop and ushered in an era of more ambitious, less overblown music." Enter Coldplay takeover. Oasis finished off. Game, set, match to Coldplay. And there you have it. Done. edit: could be good. could be bad. Only time will tell.
  9. Album titles indicate nothing. Really? Let's see. Viva la Vida or Death and All his Friends. In Rainbows. Kid A. Showbiz. Achtung Baby. The Man Who. The Invisible Band. The Boy with No Name. Ode to J. Smith. No Line on the Horizon. Waking up. Hot Fuss. By the Way. A Night at the Opera. A Day at the Races. The Game. Pump. Get a Grip. 1984. Shake it up. All of the Police's album's titles. And many more. Doesn't say anything about the actual music. These are all great albums if you haven't heard them. With not the best album titles. If anyone buys music based on what the album is called, well. That's there loss for being musically-superficial. :phu:
  10. True, true. This is a good point. Thank you for that! Wrong. We didn't hear Violet Hill until a month before VlV came out. The EP was moreeee than enough. I could've survived fine on just those three songs and the new single coming out. We didn't need to hear Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, and Us Against the World. I would've been far more upset about a tracklist then hearing any new songs i can guarantee you that.
  11. The thing about teens=instant gratification not always true. I'm almost 18 and I hate this idea that we're not really getting an album but more like half an album. I love Coldplay and all but. I think this was a bad idea. I have a bad feeling this will backfire them. With so much of it known, I'm afraid they won't be the same band who does so well with album sales and everything. If people have already heard half the album, how many less will buy it then before? The music industry is hurting from piracy and illegal downloading as it is. They haven't done themselves any favors. I really hope they thought this through. And on a personal level. I'm less excited to buy this album than Viva knowing half of it has already pleased my eardrums and probably won't be much different in studio version (and by that I mean Charlie Brown and Us Against the World).
  12. Who cares what they say? They rated Radiohead's KoL at 7.9 for example. That was better than all of Coldplay's albums? PLEASE. It didn't have but maybe ONE good song. They're clearly biased. Every music reviewer is. The only review you can trust is your own.
  13. That is not a dream my friend. That is most certainly a midsummer's nightmare. :( I'm sorry you or anyone would have to go through something like that. That is awful to a very high degree. :|
  14. Seriously! :( It sucks and I don't know how we're supposed to manage that. It's going to be harder than getting Sneakers O' Toole to take his sneakers off. :/ We'll never catch him in these shoes!!!!
  15. The first thing that came out of my mouth when i saw this thread was: ...are you f***ing me? I can't stand this guyy. Coldplay can't do anything without getting compared with him one way or another. I mean I don't mind it when they're compared to artists who actually HAVE a lot of talent like U2 or Radiohead. But this is ridiculous. He's a no-name cry-baby with an ego the size of the globe and has to attack Coldplay instead of letting the merits of his work get him recognized. When with this ever end? :/
  16. Nope. Chris said there would be 13.
  17. Nah. There's no deep voice and it's way better than Lhuna. Why the caps btw?
  18. Princess of China is making it? Didn't know that. :O I thought they was a decent chance they were leaving it off. That's a really good point. Thank you for that. :) It was both well-crafted and reassuring. You're probably right. I mean music can't exist without Coldplay after all. :D Metaphorically speaking that is.
  19. I think it's so insanely exciting that we got all this news and EMI came through for us in delivering what they said. NOW. All we need is the tracklist! (; :P Also. I noticed of lack of anything relating to UFO's. Kind of disappointed about that. But it's still the coolest album artwork I've ever seen. I can't help but be bogged down and I'm surprised no one else mentioned this. Chris seems, just, "missing the mark" in the interview. Maybe it's all the intense pressure and frustration getting everything done but he said it could be their last album? But he always says that doesn't he? I remember after X&Y they were supposed to talk off like 2 or 3 years completely away from making music. And I think there's definitely a lot more directions out there they could go. I feel really bad though. I can't imagine how exhausted the guys are and it's all for us. But I don't see that they should break up- they're four best friends. They definitely deserve time off with their families and to do with they please though. I think if they're going to do a tour it should be a short one in Europe (as much as I would like to see them) and take a year or two to relax and have some family time. I never get tired of new Coldplay music but, if there's any band out there who deserves it, it's them. I really hope Chris feels better and gets his spirits up again. :\ He partially doesn't seem himself. And I know this probably isn't the place for it and really random but. I wish there would be an 'introspective' mood. I feel that one pretty much more than any other.
  20. I'm skeptical now with everything that's happened and yet it's related to EMI so how can it be fake? I suppose it really can't. But it's all a matter of time. I hope they are telling the truth. I'm just still distrusting from when we got burned by BBC Radio 4 with that 'interview' they had. Alright. I hate to commit metaphorical CPing suicide here but. I can't help but think they're going to name it after a (great) Marilyn Manson song. This is the New SH** Imagine that. I have no idea what the name will be. I'd like to know but it doesn't tell us much unless they explain it. It could sound like an awful title, be explained, and then be amazingly deep or still suck anyway. And. In the spirit of the ETIAW simlie. If the tracklist isn't included there's a chance I might be shedding some waterfalls so I'd get the barrels ready because you'll all be going over. I have a weird feeling about them choosing Mylo Xyloto though. It's as weird as the last title but there's probably some really epic meaning behind it. Despite what I've seen some other comments say about it. :P
  21. I'm going to give you some advice sir. And you may take it or leave as you wish but when it comes to arguing with any girl 1. You'll never win. 2. It's not worth the wasted effort. 3. It's much easier to just not say anything and ignore them.
  22. HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!! I would probably die from joy and somehow fall into the sun if this happened. :sunny:
  23. I would really love this. :D Good find! But I can't help it. I would definitely love a tracklisting more. :( This.  Very clever btw.
