  1. That's a good point. But that was like a last minute spontaneous thing, they didn't plan on calling it that they just chose one of the track titles they had. Something tells me that since it's their 5th album and they're much more experienced they wouldn't do that same thing again.
  2. Thank you. This is exactly what I think. She doesn't consider it a track in that sense because they only played a small piece of it. If they do end up naming the album with the M two words thing in mind and it's Mylo Xyloto, well. I don't honestly think they would name it after a short 30-40 second intro track. And I can't possibly imagine what else MX could stand for in the first place. But that's just how I see it. I bet Mylo Xyloto (MX) is an amazing track and a full one at that too but they're only playing a piece of it to whet our appetites.
  3. Wow I didn't even see this! :D Awesomeeeee! That's definitely good news. Glad to hear from you again Locust. :) It's been awhile, I was worried you had disappeared for good. :\
  4. lol They have to be mysterious! It's a rule. They wouldn't want to give too much away to us. And I don't really see how they could have one already made, well considering they haven't finalized the tracklisting yet (supposedly). We don't need a piano with all the titles on it if they just told us one of these days.
  5. Nothing's official yet. But with the info we do have at this point, I'd have to agree with this whole thing. Plus they said they wouldn't use any VlV era stuff so I think we can pretty much eliminate those song at the bottom. Still, the site does say Up against the world. I wonder what that means for us exactly.
  6. haha very nice. [: She seems to have a good sense of humor. I really love all the new titles. They seem very colorful and uplifting somehow. They remind me of what I thought VlV titles in a way. A Hopeful Transmission sounds amazing, I love how U.F.O. is still out there and seeming like it could make the album, Mylo Xyloto sounds kinda weird but space-y to me for some reason. I can't help but wonder why it says "Up Against the World" unless that's a difference song than US against the World (which I'm starting to think is more likely) or just a typo (nah, seems too careless). Paradise sounds really positive and so does Great Expectations (although what if it's about those expectations being let down? I just thought of that). And Tomorrow sounds generally interesting/mysterious. I just find it funny how Every Teardrop is a Waterfall isn't on the list and must wonder why that is the case. Granted, I don't think it's as 'atrocious' as some people make it out to be, but I also don't think it's as good as the other new songs we've heard so I really wouldn't mind seeing it left off. Plus lyrically, the other songs go somewhere. You can tell there's really a point/direction/message they're going for. ETIAW just sounds like a song about being happy- which isn't necessarily bad, t just doesn't seem to go with the more elaborate themes suggested by the new songs as well as the new potential titles. It doesn't really go anywhere and I can't say I see how it would fit in. I'm thinking this could be a sign they came to their senses. The way they talked about it, it seems this was a song that they 'forced' out because they needed another track but, now that Chris has written a lot of new ones lately, they don't need to push it in there anymore. I'm hoping this is the case.
  7. I think the patches think is clever and would be pretty sweet looking :nice: But all I want is a tracklist at this point. That's all I've wanted for months now. Hopefully not too much longer. :P
  8. I'm glad someone else noticed it and not just me. [: Clocks goes 123,123, 12, 123, 123, 12, etc. Charlie Brown goes 123, 123, 12345, 123, 123, 12345, etc. Not exactly the same but have a similar melody type deal in that respect. Which is fine, I just happened to pick up on this. That's all.
  9. I have to agree. What's been discovered these past few days greatly discounts my theory. I don't like this deal with the samples (I mean ETIAW now this?) though I can't help but think it's not much different then before except that they're being more careful since the VlV lawsuits. And I mention the sample thing because I don't see them collaborating with a 70+ year old guy. And I know you're not supposed to prejudge songs but between that and it only being 3:30. Not too promising I'd say. Then again, I've been wrong many times before so, this certainly wouldn't be the first time. :P
  10. You're welcome. [: And agreed. Not sure. Normally they release a single within a month of the new album release, so that suggests September at the earliest. :/ But who knows? It's Coldplay. They're mysterious. They're the best band in the world. To quote a great show, their minds are 'enigmas'. lol
  11. Damn you're fast! I was just about to do this! lol :P :) and I'm thinking that means a chance for a new single soon
  12. lmao I love this. [: Pt. 1 Muse = amazing Pt. 2 True story + other new songs would be better Pt. 3 Hilarious + great metaphor. I don't think we have to worry unless Coldplay officially releases the tracklist. Debs says it's still not decided on yet so who knows.
  13. To be honest, Rainy Day and Prospekt's March are really amazing. The rest of it I could just leave. It's one of those things. You're not liking this because you just don't. I don't think it gets any more simple than that, you know? :P Preference thing.
  14. lol Nice. I don't know that that'll work though. Might be a stretch.
  15. This thread is ridiculously long. I wish the speculation would go away and they'd actually tell us something about the new album. If we don't find out the tracklisting soon there's a chance I might die.
  16. Sorry man. Honest mistake.
  17. Coldplayvideo Channel "Any way to prove this is true? Because we all knew there are gonna be songs with U . Thank you." Damn he just got his balls served back to him on a silver platter. What a wingnut.
  18. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that holiday is spelled with an i not a y.... The only two Holy Days I know of are Easter and Christmas. So I'm going to say the spelling makes a difference, as the 'i' implies a set of days that is less exclusive and less religion-based.
  19. That's definitely possible. I hadn't thought of that. Or like Ladder to the Sun! :DD I have a feeling it just might happen for some reason. I just think they're going to realize they have too much good music to compromise down to 42 minutes. They really don't give themselves enough credit. I think 14-15 songs is realistic. There were technically 14 songs on VlV so why not? And with each song 3 and 1/2 to 4 minutes long (for the most part) that's still not even that much when you think about it. :P
  20. haha  We're just good like that. And already? Damn. Looks like the genius of Moving to Mars is finally growing on someone. :P
  21. I'm thinking if they really have a "best song" for the new album, they probably haven't played it yet. I mean, do you remember for the last album? They didn't talk about Viva la Vida at all. Except when we got that track by track synopsis from the one magazine in late March 08 (I believe). And then they told us when they announced the tracklist in mid April. But they never mentioned it before then. Prospekt didn't. The songs they were considering had Lost! and Violet Hill from the beginning but not VlV. They even told one of the magazines in January 08 that the big songs on the album were going to be Famous Old Painters, Glass of Water, and Cemeteries of London. I remember like it was yesterday. :) They're such secret keepers. But yeah. They always kept it out of the spotlight until it came down to actually revealing the tracklist. I don't believe for a second any of the live songs we've heard is the one they like the most from the new sessions.
  22. I'm definitely hoping new songs!! :] Maybe Car Kids or U.F.O. or another, better quality version of Princess of China! (: I mean the way they make it sound it doesn't seem like it's just changing the setlist. Although then again they are very mysterious. Maybe they're taking out a few of the old songs and putting in new ones. :D Imagine a whole show of songs from the LP5 sessions? Oh my word that would be amazinggg! Probably won't happen but yeah. I can dream.
  23. To go along with this, in response to what CharlieBrown said. Again. They gave us LRLRL for free. They gave us Violet Hill for free. They crafted the last album so you can buy two songs for the price of one on iTunes (LiJ/RoL etc.). So yes. After all of that, I'm very sure they're going to make us pay for the SAME songs twice and give us studio versions of songs that will make it on the album a whole 4 months before it's even released and 1-2 months before the tracklist is even decided on. That makes perfect sense.
