  1. Thanks to everybody who posted and will be posting photos! I got there at 3:30 a.m. to find a line already almost halfway around the block. I was able to hang out with several students from Stonybrook University who were wonderful and great Coldplay fans - new friends. They finally started letting us in little by little around 6 a.m., and we ended up in the middle of the crowd. Unfortunately, I think only those with VIP passes or who camped out were close enough to see anything. I didn't get to see the boys at all, they might as well have been on the radio. But it was still a lot of fun to be in the crowd and to hear Coldplay! Someone from the front tweeted the setlist but our Chris did divert from it a little - during a commercial break he said something about keeping us interested and they did an abbreviated version of The Scientist. Afterward we went up front by the sound board just in case someone might come out. I did see Miller and spotted Dan Green - I called a hello to him and he came over and gave me a set list! Dan seemed a little surprised that I knew who he was! It was an enjoyable time - I was a little disappointed that I didn't even get to look at the boys from a distance, but it was fun to come home and watch the show which I had recorded. Next time it'll be VIP for me, I hope!
  2. Hi and a big welcome to Coldplaying.com! Simple: Paradise is being free to do what you love with the people you love.
  3. If you had told me a few months ago that Coldplay would do a video dressed as elephants I would have told you that you were - well - nuts. Simply the most adorable and fresh thing I've seen. Chalk another one up for my boys. Love it.
  4. I'm holding out and not listening until I have the album in my hand and can enjoy it on my sound system at home with a glass of wine in my hand.
  5. Made it many times - it's between about 6 - 7 hours.
  6. Thanks for posting! And after reading it, all I can say is THREE CHEERS FOR GUY!!!
  7. I was away on business most of the week and didn't see the info about the passes until yesterday. But I went ahead and applied anyway! Praying that it'll work out but I will be there even if it doesn't. I'm not camping out - at my age I need a bed at night! - but will get there around 5 a.m. If anybody wants to keep in touch via text while there please send me a PM. And if anybody has an extra pass and no guest, I'd love to be there with you!
  8. When you are taking a walk with Coldplay in your ears (only CP on my MP3, of course) and GPASUYF comes on, and you realize you're sort of dancing along the street and singing along, and your neighbors are looking at you funny. Yes, this happened to me on Saturday.
  9. This could absolutely be a Paco Rabanne advertisement. But I bet at the moment Guy didn't smell much like Paco Rabanne. :) VERY nice for us ChrissyBerryGirls.
  10. I met Chris after the Crisis Hidden Gig in Liverpool in December. He was quite relaxed and funny! He stood actually leaning up against me for a few minutes while he signed autographs and chatted with the crowd. The photo in my sig is one that Wisna took at the exact moment he signed my ticket envelope for me. He signed the shirt of the fellow behind me and remarked "Now I've ruined that for you!"
  11. What a great show. Need to sleep now but I'll be dreaming...
  12. Did everybody else just suck in breath like Chris when he did that?
  13. Is that Keka's flag on the left side of the stage? She gave it to Chris.
  14. Midnight here... somebody wake me up when Coldplay show up.....
  15. Give us Coldplay, give us Coldplay, give us Coldplay NOW!
  16. Sorry to be late with congratulations (been offline for 3 days) but WELL DONE everyone! I'm so happy to be a Coldplayer!
  17. JillyBlue replied to Pris's topic in Coldplay
Today is Gwyneth's birthday. Maybe a party for her?
  18. Finally home after the trek to Vegas and back. I enjoyed the whole show! But the crowd definitely wasn't a Coldplay crowd. Like Lauren, I was the only one standing in my section afer Viva - now really, can you imagine not standing for Fix You? Chris worked hard to get people into it; at one point I thought he was going to dive into the crowd but he just leaned over to high five the people right up front. It did feel strange to hear the songs in such a different order, starting with Viva. (It also felt funny to hear "99 Problems" from Jay-Z without Coldplay immediately following!) The revolving stage made it a quick change between acts which was great; while Ryan Seacrest was talking I did a double take as Chris was wandering around the stage behind him and I realized the boys were all on stage casually getting set up! "Paradise" haters, all I can say is wait until you experience the song live. It is sweeping and majestic and all four of the boys put their best into it. Will post photos and video in the next day or so. Next time, though, I probably won't travel over 1700 miles for six Coldplay songs. :D
  19. He has an "A" and and "M" for Apple and Moses on the insides of his wrists, and a "G" for Gwyneth on his upper right bicep.
  20. I'm going - have booked my flight and hotel room. I will get there early but I won't be camping out all night. For one thing it's going to be cold, for another if I'm paying the cost of a midtown Manhattan hotel room I want to USE it! Will likely get there around 5 a.m. and hope for the best. Since I'm older than the typical Coldplay fan I can always play the old lady card. :laugh3:
